Soaking these seeds in 3% H202/Water at 1:4 ratio for 24 hours before I move them to paper towels. Will update after these beans pop!
Update: All 4 germinated today (Sept 11)
Getting the substrate ready now
To the next!! 🍻
Roots are through the bottoms of the plugs. Just spraying them with distilled water a few times a day. Acclimating to lower humidity this week...
Update:
Popped an extra seed of each in case the first set didn't work out. 10th Planet sprouted but the Banana Daddy got jammed up trying to shed her shell. Cotys were tangled blocking the first set of leaves from opening and a bit of mold was spotted near the base so I turfed her and cleaned everything with Hydrogen peroxide and water.
Humidity is down to around 70% and temps are steady around 27-28c. The third set of leaves are forming so I might be able to start giving them a VERY mild compost tea near the end of the week.
All seedlings transplanted
Update:
Humidity coming down nicely and no signs of damping off. Fertigation started with Botanicare PBP. Nice light starter feed until 3 sets of true leaves show up and I'll switch to veg nutes
Update: End of week one!
Seedlings are looking healthy and adapted nicely to the gradual decrease in humidity. Started the week around 90%, now at 60%.
They'll spend 10 days in the 4" pots before transplanting into 3 gallon fabric bags.
Lights are at 50% (half the T5 bulbs on) so I'll switch them all on tomorrow. By week 3 they should be ready for the MH bulbs.
To the next! 🍻
Already feeling better about this run, as the seedlings look bigger and healthier than last run (and 8 days younger). Biggest difference was humidity and container size. Last run, the humidity was sitting around 30-40% in the house. The seedlings were in Solo cups right from sprout and took about 40 days to get 4" tall. This time we're already half way there in two weeks! Kept humidity at least 60% the whole time and left in plugs for a week before transplanting.
Update: Getting some good growth! Fertigating once a day this week, twice a day next week. 125ml / 0.5 EC @ 5.8 pH
To the next! 🍻
Start of week 3...give or take a day. Increasing fertigation frequency and strength this week. 100ml twice a day now. Going from 0.5 EC to 0.9 gradually.
Update: Increased water consumption and fertilizer strength (200ml x 2) (0.8 EC). One more day left in the week to get to the target EC of 0.9. Buffering coco in CalMag today for transplanting either tomorrow or Tuesday!
Update: Last day of week three and everyone's got new shoes. Let's gooo
To the next!! 🍻
Hoping for some explosive growth now that they're all under the MH lamps and in their final containers. Topping didn't go too well...took the fan leaves off not thinking about it...some topped to the 3rd node, some to the 4th...should be fine but might've slowed growth considerably by removing those fan leaves. Gah
To the next!! 🍻
Everyone's chugging along since topping and almost up to 4 nodes on each side now. Likely topping again in the next few days. Dialed way back on nutrients since the first topping due to rising EC levels and still trying to get the run-off values down.
Update: EC run-off has stabilized and all plants except 10th #3 have been topped twice now.
To the next!! 🍻
2nd round of topping done and branches are staked down. Really beefy lateral growth (as advertised) should make a sturdy base for big colas. Banana Daddy 2 is looking a bit rough...not sure what's up as all other plants look fine. Might be trying to feed more than I'm giving her, idk. Week or two from the flip.
Update: Responding well to topping and LST. Trunk and branches are getting thicker by the day. Debating on topping a 3rd time but I don't really want to add another two weeks of veg... probably be worth it though.
To the next!! 🍻
Will let these go for another week of veg before flipping. Don't think they stretch much so want to get a bit taller to take advantage of the training. The Banana Daddy's are still looking a bit rough. Some yellow leaf ends and brown spots on lower leaves, could be a CalMag deficiency. Will try a foliar spray
To the next!! 🍻
First day of 12/12! Will be continuing to bend down taller branches as they stretch. Most branches are at, or close to, 5 nodes each so the lower fan leaves will be able to be removed soon. Added a dehumidifier to the room to keep RH around 55. Plenty of airflow going on with two floor fans and an oscillating fan on each end
Bushy girls, all of them. Responding well to topping and LST. Staying short, which I don't mind because of height restrictions, but I could've easily vegged another week. Still some seeds left for another crack at it. Taking off the lower inner leaves produces a very gassy smell, maybe a sign of what's coming?
Update: EC levels in run-off were too high (2.6) so they've been flushed to remove salt build up. pH is now out of wack at 6.6 in the run-off.
Lots of bud sites popping up! I've been cutting leaves and branches from the bottom/middle to create more airflow through the canopy. Still tying branches down but that will stop by the end of the week. 2/9 weeks complete and they all look great, although some better than others. I've taken cuttings from the best two plants and will attempt to monstercrop them.
To the next! 🍻
Time for a midbloom flush, getting some salt buildup and potentially locking out valuable nutrients. Idk what's going on with these Remo nutes, but I'm pulling the same amount out of each one and I'll have to replace the Bloom jug well before the rest. I've already bought a 2nd litre of Magnifical, micro and velokelp because they're used throughout the entire cycle and ran out in the first week of bloom. Might just try the cheap ass fucking GH line next time cuz high frequency fertigation EATS up the nutes.
Flowers stacking, trichomes building, smell is getting intense. It's a good week.
Update: Flowers are getting bigger every day but they're feeding less...getting consistent run-off EC of 1.7 no matter what I put into them. Currently feeding at 1.0 EC/6.2 pH (Base water is 0.3) so it's a very light mix at 0.7 EC. Things seem good so I'm not really too concerned but there could be some salt build up potentially locking out nutrients.
Flowers still stacking, pistils changing colour and the aroma is straight cash. Like a tropical cocktail going on. Added Overdrive to the feed schedule for the next two weeks before flushing. The 10ths are quite a bit bigger than the Banana Daddy's in both height and bud size.
Update: There's a bud growing on a leaf lol (pic #6)
Week 7 begins!!. Will add some pics when the lights come back on. Had to feel my way out this morning after the lights went off while finishing watering 🤣
Looks like a few of the 10ths are going to be ready at the end of week 8. Loads of milky trichomes and orange pistils are starting to retract. I'll start flushing them after the weekend
Forgot to adjust pH before watering and the Banana Daddy looks like it took it the worst (pictured). Downside of watering as soon as you wake up... run-off is still in range and they're going to be flushed in the next few weeks anyway so it's all good.
Finish line is in sight!! LOADS of milky trichs. Alternating water only and Flawless Finish for the week and will chop on day 56. Colours are only viewable through the jewelers loupe, but they're purple. HPS doesn't make for the best photos so I'll take some at lights off before harvesting. Almost there!
Update: 10th Planets are down to 0.4 EC so right on track for a chop in 3 more days. Banana Daddy has seeds. I don't know when this happened as I was searching for any signs of hermie flowers since week 4. I removed her from the main room and put her in the dark. I'll chop her in a few days and use the flowers for tincture when dry. She was one of the smaller plants in the room so I'm not that pissed, but fuck me...did not have much luck with this strain first time around.
Cut down Day 57F...loud grape terpenes coming from one of the 10th Planets. Really vibrant purple colour and cakes with trichomes. The Banana Daddy's were really small but really frosty. Not expecting more than a few ounces dried. They also have a few seeds in them, which is disappointing for sure. Will update with dried weights in a week or so
The smoke is great. Opening the jar you get a very tropical hit on the nose with a gassy back end. Heavy on the lungs but smooth on the throat. Really doesn't take much of it to feel the effects roll in. Begins with an immediate dizzying cerebral hit and followed by deep body relaxation. Definitely a night smoke. The buds were super dense and greasy, even after curing. Yields were not good due to the 6 week veg so I would let it go at least 8 weeks next time. Still a few seeds left to run again. I know this one is a serious hitter so I will be keeping a mother down the line somewhere.
Really nice taste. Fruity, funky and notes of cinnamon or licorice or something on the back end. Smells of grapefruit, blueberry and fuel primarily. Very tight buds, very small yields. Definitely needed to be vegged out longer than 6 weeks. Some seeds in the flower because of the French Macaron's male flowers bursting in week 6 bloom.
Dried weights:
BD1 - 43 g
BD2 - 45 g
Not happy with the yields at all. Pretty big waste of time considering less than 2 oz per plant. Have a few seeds left to give them another chance.
Heavy smoke, tickles the lungs. Loud blueberry and grape terps with gas on the back end. Smells like blueberry muffins in the jar. Tastes like it's rolled in a flavoured paper.
Strain grew as advertised. Strong lateral branching, medium height (30-36"), responded well to topping and LST and produced tight buds that smelled and tasted exactly as they said. The yields were around 95g per plant, so a bit on the low side but made up for it in quality. Very frosty, pungent flower. Glad to have a few beans left to run again, as I didn't keep any clones. Ethos impressed on this one.
@Ezzjaybruh, Right on! Will have to have a look at them. That end game punchline looks bonkers... I used GTA seed bank, one of the few Canadian retailers stocking them. They threw me 10x Zour Watermelon REG in the order, but I don't see the strain listed anywhere on Ethos' site. Maybe a zkittlez cross idk
@@Louder, FYI - i found a site called www.chitownseeds.com that has their fem 5 packs for $54 most the time - the other day they had all ETHOS on sale for $48/5 pack! kicking myself for not grabbing more then. they also gave me a freebie on my first order of 5 punch line regs seeds
@northernMike, I watched the highlights this morning, gutsy win. Lemieux might get a game or two for that. Tkachuk's rant was hilarious. Too bad they don't play each other again this year...🔔🔔🔔
@@Louder,Started off a little shakey😵,, but you
could see they were pissed off and didn't want to lose again😀..they were skating hard and there passing was much better👍
Hear Lemieux bit tcachuk😲, Wonder what the league
will think about that? Lemieux was always a bit of a trouble maker,
but biting someone is a little nuts. Verdict should be in soon...
Did you catch the Game, WOW, someone lit a fire under their asses, Great Game!!
Toronto didn't look to happy😢..
Nice plants, looking happy and healthy👍..
Close game, but we took the win😀...
Can't believe the people in the stands down south, full house, and are arena's
are completely empty. WTF is going on in Canada????
PISSED OFF!!!!
