Absolutely you can. I start LST right from the very beginning. When it sprouts I push it around from side to side a little bit to promote good stem strength. Then I use my fingers to gently spread the leaves apart. Then when the time is right I start getting a little more aggressive with hold staples and string to really start training the plant. Hey, how's it going? From the photos, it's a bit hard to tell what it is. It also seems like a recent problem, which is probably why it's not clear in the photo. But looking at the issue, at first glance, it could be a nitrogen deficiency or another nutrient.
