Papa_T Thursday Jul 29
-Clones 1-2-3-4 started life today
-Clippings taken from Jane (First Grow)
-Coco coir starter pots
-Dynomyco sprinkled in medium
-Used root promoter on clone stem
-Set in propagation dome inside veg tent
-We’ll see what happens
Day 1
-Removed a few leaves from clippings to promote root growth
-Clone #3 Slumped a fair bit - removed leaves to reduce weight
Day 2
-Cleaned propagation tray and dome
-Spritzed more water to re moisten
-Overall look happy after 48 hours
-Clone #5 started life today tried a better method of cloning split the stem and scraped a bit of the skin before dipping in root promoter
Day 3
-Clones are seeming to do well
-Spritz water on clones and maintaining environment
Day 4
-Clones looking ok today
-A little droopy
-Holding environment steady
-Play the waiting game
Day 5
-Still playing the waiting game
-1 to 4 are not looking so hot
-Sprayed with water
-1800 clones not looking so hot
-Spray more water on clones
-1 to 4 area looking like they’re going to make it
-2120 sprayed more water leaves were dry
Day 6
-Still not looking so hot
-Spritzed water a lot
-Watered medium a little
-Still playing the waiting game for them to pull through
Day 7
-1 to 4 still not looking so hot
-Leaves starting to yellow a little bit and drooping
-#5 is looking ok but may go south fast
Day 8
-All 5 showing signs of new growth
-#5 is visibly doing well with the better cloning method
-Going to start watering medium and no longer spraying the foliage as new growth indicates roots being formed
-Cleaned propagation tray and dome
*NOOB ALERT*
-Watered clones with nutrient solution
201 PPM of Lotus Grow at 6.6 PH
Day 9
-Nutrient solution has negatively affected the clones
-Nutrient solution too early or PH of 6.6 was not good?
-Continue in the dome with spritzing
-Hopefully they pull through
-#4 showing roots out of the bottom of the coco starter pot
Day 10
-Believe the clones have rooted
-Still keeping them in the dome and wait for more roots to show out the bottom of other pots
-Began trying to harden them off to a vegetative environment
-#1 has roots showing out the bottom of the coco pot
Day 11
-Not much change
-Keep on keeping on
-Still working on hardening them off
-Clones not looking very good
-New growth has now gone a bit yellow and stunted growth
-Gonna flush them and spritz leaves
-Doing that nutrient solution was a bad idea against my better judgement I did it anyway
Day 12
-Some more roots have appeared
-A little bounce back today with the newer growth
-Still looking janky
-Keep spritzing and keeping the dome at 80-90% RH
Day 13
-More roots again
-Still in dome
-Misting and keeping good RH
Day 14
-Every clone gets a new home upgrade to a one gallon pot
-Added 3/4 tsp of Dynomyco to each pot
-Watered after transplant
-1 to 4 not looking so hot
-#5 looks the best out of the bunch
-Survival of the fittest

Papa_T This “Week” will cover August 13th to Aug 31st 2021. This is a back tracking on my notes.
August 13 Day 15
-No water
-Increased light intensity to the 3rd notch at 22” above canopy
-Playing the waiting game
-Keeping plastic bag on top to keep RH up
Day 16
*NOOB ALERT*
-Watered all five clones with straight reverse osmosis water and did not PH the water
Note: this is around the point where I started getting fed up with RO because you can’t PH reverse osmosis water the PH pen just doesn’t get a reading because there’s nothing in it. I gave it just straight RO on watering days. Definitely this time line was a learning moment in my growing
-Keep bag over plant still
-Let them be
Day 17
-Still not looking too hot
-No water
-Still waiting to see what they do
Day 18
-Don’t look good at all and probably cooked
Note: I tried to make a homemade fungicide for the transplant. I made it with water and vinegar and I didn’t ratio anything I just made a mix and sprayed the plants. Yeah so it’s around this time they’re starting to look poopy and I’m internally accepting that I may have cooked them.
Day 19
-Feeling the same that they are not well
-No water
-2334 clones 4 and 5 are maybe looking like they’ll pull through
August 18th Day 20
-Today I got my Apogee PAR meter in the mail
-Dialled the light in at 18” above canopy (good thing my notes don’t contain a value of PPFD wouldn’t have been helpful, no!?)
-No water today
Day 21
-Watering pots 3, 4 and 5 one litre each with a little epsom salt with a little bit of Lotus Grow nutrient.
-6.11 PH 96 PPM one litre per plant
-No run off information
-Plants 1 and 2 are moist enough
Day 22
-Clones are starting to turn for the better
-Took bags off to harden them off
-No water for any plant
Day 23
Note: This is where I no longer mess with RO. It’s been nothing but problems for me. My tap water on a bad day is at around 74 PPM so I’m pretty confident in my tap water quality which normally sits at 62-64 consistently.
-Clones 1 and 2 get straight tap water at 6.5 PH 63 PPM
-3, 4 and 5 no water
-Continue to monitor and let them be
Day 24
-Overall starting to think positive about all 5 clones
-Looks like they’ coming around and turning for better
-No water
Day 25
-3, 4 and 5 get 700 ml tap water
-6.25 PH - 61.4 PPM
-No runoff
Day 26
-No water
-Just one of those let them be days
-All doing somewhat well
Day 27
-Did an epsom salt foliar spray
-No water
-All showing signs of progress
-All look relatively happy
Day 28
-No water
-All looking well
-Some leaves have a few rust spots on them
-Soon maybe time to start feeding
Day 29
-No water
-Regular vegetative day
Day 30
-Clones 1 and 2 water/feed Lotus Grow nutrient
1 litre each 6.41 PH - 201 PPM
-#1 runoff 500 ml 6.15 PH 621 PPM
-#2 runoff 500 ml 6.03 PH 975 PPM
-Clones 3 and 4
-1.3 litres each with Lotus Grow nutrient
-1.3 litres each 6.21 PH - 362 PPM
-#3 runoff 400 ml 5.68 PH 2950 PPM
-#4 runoff 300 ml 5.43 PH 4200 PPM
-Clone #5 feeding
-1.4 litres with Lotus Grow nutrient
-6.2 PH - 619 PPM
-#5 runoff 300 ml 5.47 PH 3700 PPM
Day 31
-No water
-Just growing nicely
-Moved light up a little and adjusted intensity
Day 32
-No water today
-Not a whole lot to say today
-They’ growing nicely now
Day 33
Well this is a turning point for Janes babies and this week’s diary.
This was my first attempt at cloning. It was more just giving this a shot and if it dodgers work out it was no big deal.
I did also make these clones in hopes of being able to give a friend who was moving way and didn’t grow this season. So I wanted to set them up with a few clones ready to veg out when they get settled at their new place. Clones 2, 3 and 4 are no longer in my collection and have moved on to a new home.
Got plans for 1 and 5 stay tuned.
September 20
This is the end of this diary as #1 has moved on to becoming Margie and #5 is Billie. It take me a while to give names to plants. They need to show their character first.
Hey! Happy growing my friend! I hope you do well and get some good results! I will come by sometime to see your progress! Keep on growing!
If you ever visit my page please say hello!
Peace & love L.S.T 🌟❤️🔥
