Another good week for this girl, she's bulking up nicely and stacking the trichomes on.
Gave her a little dose of molasses before I start the flush next week, otherwise not much to report.
@DevilsBud, nothing a sheet of black material can't fix haha but the space can be an issue. It's always worth the extra effort.
Thanks, need to give my girls the model treatment. haha
Question: Are you doing something purposeful to keep the plants this small?
I would assume that this cultivar would get a bit bigger than this in a 5-gallon pot... especially since you obviously know what you're doing!
Still... the bud and the plant looks fantastic!
@SonomaSungrown, I live in South Africa and we get 13 to 14h of light a day in summer and with normally very warm and dry weather.
A lot of my autos start flowering at the end of week 2 or 3, so I struggle to get them big. A few have vegged for the normal 4 to 5 weeks and those normally get to a more decent size.
I grow the autos for a little top up of flower and some for hash and rely mainly on my photoperiods for the big yeilds.
I can't grow photoperiods from the start of the season, my space isn't big enough, so the autos at the start of the season is just to get a bit of variety.
@SonomaSungrown, only the amendments I add to the soil each season and then natural inputs when I water and foliar spray.
Only thing I use that I don't make is copper soap in case WPM tries to creep in past the LAB.
They look great,my PL are in 4th week.quicpk pqustion how do you put back ground black?I will follow.im confused as im using 3 part micro grow bloom but others say they wouldn't pay for bottled crap,so confused please PM.HAPPY GROWING!
@420Highlifecouple, Thank you π
For the black bg I photograph my plants against a black bg and light the plant up with 2 or 3 flashes and to expose for the bright plant makes the BG stay dark.
On the nutrient side I'm just trying to not buy bottles of nutrients and avoid shipping and more plastic bottles when most of the nutrients are in things around you every day and better suited to my environment. If you buy calcium (for your plants) and eat eggs and throw the shells out, you are throwing calcium out and then going to buy it.
Nothing I put on my plants is toxic and is a good feeling to know everything I feed my plants is not only safe, but is good for me too.
To me growing weed shouldn't have a negative effect on the environment, so I don't use lights/electricity and don't buy anything I can make from scraps or plants around me.
Chris Trump has a lot of videos on making your own natural inputs and are many other videos out there
