So some early prognosis:
I'm growing with an RQS smart pot, and I am using Plagron only products for the soil.
There is a 3cm layer of Plagron Euro Pebbles at the bottom (for drainage and to prevent roots from trying to dig in there) and top of the soil (for the first week to prevent too much water evaporation).
On height, I am not sure yet most likely somewhere around 63cm/25inch
On yield, I would be happy to gain around 28gr/1oz
On growth time (excluding drying and curing), most likely 10-12weeks
As summer has ended, I had some difficulties on incubating the seed (so far the Jack Herer from a different seedbank has not incubated at all). It seems that I will have to invest in a warming pad one of these days.
The Royal CBG on the other hand, did incubate.
More info on the strain:
Genetics: Indica 20% / Sativa 75% / Ruderalis 5%
Parents: Goliat Auto x High CBG Strain
Flowering Time: 9-10 weeks (from seed to harvest)
THC: 0.09%
CBD: High
CBG: 6-8%
Yield (Outdoor): 30-50gr / 1.06-1.76 plant
Height (Indoor): 80-90cm / 31.5-35.43inch
Height (Outdoor): 80-100cm / 31.5-39.37inch
The CBG strain is growing currently on a 12-12 light schedule from the Mars Hydro TS 1000.
There is an additional small blurple light which will be on 24/7 for the first two weeks.
She is starting to grow, in the upcoming days I will closely monitor her to try and stretch her in height as much as possible.
+ every odd day feed her some 100ml of water.
Curious to see how she will compete with her far cousin sister, Royal CBDV.
Gordon Ramsay would say ... "Wow, just wow."
She grew like crazy this week. Fair enough, I've been a couple days late for my update (so the increase of next week will be less).
Additionally the bud-forming is superfast as well.
Regarding the growth, this will be most likely be due to: keeping the lamp at a good distance every single day.
The stem is nice thick, so I will be removing the protection barrier one of the upcoming days.
This upcoming week I will start to pump in some extra nutrients.
It clearly shows that she used a lot of nutrients with that growth sprint she did in the past weeks.
The soil still contains lots of nutrients, so the roots cannot reach all the good spots yet.
So expect some power roots (K), pure zymes and sugar royal (N) as feeding schedule to balance things out.
Bud formation is going wonderfull as you can see from the pictures.
The stem is nicely thick and sturdy. And very clearly a Sativa, she's tall and slim.
She's filling out evenly all of her buds. From top to bottom.
Nice big juicy and moisty buds, giggity giggity allright 😜
Adding extra Nitrogen really helped out this week.
Everything went fine this week. No need for any additional nutrients.
Almost time for harvest, just waiting till all the major buds have formed up properly.
I lolly-popped her and as you can see I pushed her to the limit of longevity.
So she will be harvested with the next week update.
I seem to have achieved a full- to over- ripeness this time.
