have you had success trimming the tap root. I've heard of clipping roots, but I am always afraid.

@Oozle, I certainly don't want to make a practice of doing it. I've been using a heat mat as part of the germination process the last couple of times and it seems to really speed things along. I should have checked the seeds after 24 hours rather than 48.

@Oozle, I was always afraid too, but I actually trimmed the tap root on the Fire OG as it had an even longer tail. It worked out fine. I only wanted to try it on one seed in case it was a disaster.

I’ve got over ten of these freebie seeds, might have to do a big Mephisto Freebie run as my next auto group. Their F1 freebies are fire, I’ve run five different crosses so far, haven’t had the pleasure of popping any of these yet.
