Northern Lights Auto Fem Full Organic 2#

So she is making it... After killing a previous seedling I was pretty insecure about killing another autofem one so this one had extra care when been handled. She is having a really slow time growing comparing with my other grow that is just a couple of days older than her. I'm guessing that is the downside of autofem seeds comparing with the photo ones. Let's see how they perform the following weeks.

She is growing really timidly for weeks now and I'm getting worried for what reason she seems to be stunned. It's been some pretty hot days and she may be struggling to deal with that. Her older sister haven't had to deal with such heat so I'm guessing this strain is not that strong to deal with heat. I guess my tent could be a little bit freshier. My second fan seems to be gone and my lazy ass still hasn't got it fixed. I'm keeping a close eye on her as it could reduce a lot her size on the coming flowering stage.

I got the second row of net to spread more those bud sites and got rid of some of the huge fan leaves that were covering the lower branches. I know I suppose to get rid of everything under the net but I don't care. I like even the popcorn and I don't believe that it would really change my results which were good enough for this strain on my last harvest. She is pretty much almost the same size of her healthier neighbor which is a photo and grew much faster than her but because the photo one is not into flower stage she is getting almost behind the auto. It's nice to be able to play with different strains and kinds of seeds.

She is still growing but seems she just stretching out like crazy. Which is good as there's a lot of light getting to all those bud sites even the lower ones. The lower fan leaves started to yellow just as the previous northern light plant so it's fattening time for her. She is eating well and as soon the other plants start to flower I'll increase the food intake a bit to see how she reacts. She'll start the 12-12 light schedule as she is sharing space with the photos I just started pushing into flower stage.

The thrips problem seems to be getting out of hand although there are no leaves dying off apart from the bottom normal ones. I'm gonna get some spray to deal with those life suckers. The plant is not growing for a while now and it's just focusing on fattening. Some buds started to mature already and I'm giving her at least three weeks to be ready to go. She's probably gonna be my last auto as my next seeds are going to be photos. I think I already can handle them. I took that last picture to entry the Mars Hydro creative contest but I was too late to participate. I liked the pic though.

I had to get rid of the three males were growing in the tent so I got room to my next grow. I refed the substrate with 1/2 cup each of Go & Grow, Bud & Bloom and Neem Meal per every 30l of substrate and it gonna take up to 3 weeks to the food to break down into my soil. She got a booster on her substrate as well as she is gonna be ready to harvest within the next three weeks so the substrate will be perfect for the next plant to be transplanted straight away. She is steadly growing the buds and seems to be well fed. The roids always do a great deal on my plants but this plant was the first one to get the maintenance solution from day one. I'm pretty excited to compare the results. I'm trying to deal with the pests issue on this week. I topped the substrate with some of the neem meal mix to (try to) get rid of the gnats. The mf leaf sucker got blasted with Dr Greenthumbs GreenSpace Reset which is a organic herbal leaf conditioner. Gonna keep a close eye next few days to see if they come back. She is drinking heaps more than normal and I may need to change the watering schedule to 3 times a week (veg food > bloom food > water only).

She is steadly fattening those buds and I love what I see. The amendments I used last week are doing miracles! She started growing new pistils like crazy! She is probably on her last week but I might let her ripe a bit longer as she is highly indica anyway. But it will depends on how those new pistils mature over the next week. I might have caught covid without realizing it or she is smelling pretty weak comparing to normal. How knows? Better get tested anyway. Keep safe out there!

Well... She didn't hit the goal as her older sister but I get that I got some pretty nasty stun at the first weeks that was totally my fault. At least I learnt my leason. My lazy ass forgot to take some pics of the harvest.
