A friend gave me some random seeds he bought I long time ago and couldn't grow them himself. The only problem is that he had no idea what the hell they are so I'll need to treat them as normal seeds. This is going to take me more time as I'll need to attend more frequently to look for male plants growing in my tent. I'm growing three to have enough to discard any males or in the best cenario that all of them are females, discard the unhealthier one. Happy days.
So all the three misterious seeds germinated and are growing pretty good. Unfortunatelly I just have space to grow three plants properly and I already have an autofem on the 7 gallon smartpot. One of those will have to go pretty soon but I'm planning to leave all of them grow until I can identify them as male or female and obviously getting rid of the male(s) one(s). Let's see how they grow the following weeks.
I transfered the two more healthy plants to the 7 gal smartpots and even though the 3rd one is damned to be stunned due to the small size of the pot she is into I decided to not kill her. What's the worst can happen? If she turns out to be a he then he'll be damned for good but even if she doesn't give many buds it's better something than binning a beautful little plant just because she can't deliver what I expect from her sisters. Anyway I started some netting to try to get some control on how the 4 plants use the tent space. I want to see a good bed of green.
Those seeds are definitely photo by the way they are growing steadly on vegetative state with the current light schedule. The poor one that lasted on the small pot is obviously struggling to grow although it's a healthy little bushy thing. There's no signs of male or female plants yet but I'm pretty confident that none of them is male. I got the second row of net to help spread the branches. This strain is very bushy and dense. A little stretch would make them good but I guess this is the particularity of this strain. The auto one that is also on the tent started to flower already but I'm going to wait a couple weeks more before to change the light schedule. I wanna see if they stretch in the following weeks before putting them to flower. Fells like great things are to come.
They are going good. As expected their differences are still noticeable. One of them is tall, tick and strong. Even bigger than the auto that's flowering for a couple of weeks. If she doubles in height during flower it may become a issue as I'm pretty close to run out of vertical space to rise my lights. The plant that is on the small pot looks like a bonsai 🤣. It's kinda cute but it's sad to look.
I'm changing the light schedule to 12-12 from today to force them to flower. They could grow heaps more but I'm not waiting more. The tent is pretty much filled with green so can I already call it SOG? Hahaha
Let's hope that they all turn out to be females on the next weeks.
Well... I'm really doubtful now and I'm guessing they are male but I'm posting some shots here to get everybody's else opinion on those. It would be really sad...
Update: As everybody said and as I already knew deep down they all turned to be male... Three out of three. What a bad luck. Chopped down and gonna have some new grow soon after amending the soil.
Hey folks. Those plants have been under 12/12 for 6 days and I noticed those bags growing like crazy. Are they male or not? I've never seen those on any other of my previous plants (all fem) so I'm worried as I have a auto flowering in the tent.
