Welcome to Week #2 growing Sweet Seeds Cream Mandarine XL Auto’s. It’s been an easy second week for these young plants with only a few changes worth mentioning. First off, the temperatures here in Canada are already dropping so the tent is down about 2-3 degrees during the day. This means anywhere from 75-78 degrees with lights on/doors closed. The night time temps are still pretty stable around 68-70 degrees- because night time for the plants is during the afternoon (12pm-6pm) when my home is warmest from the sun. Second change this week is the lighting. I’ve raised the x2 Electric Sky 180’s up to 48" or 4 feet above the top of my plants. This is almost as high as I can go without the extension on my Gorilla Grow Tent but unfortunately the roof of this room can’t fit the tent at it’s tallest height of 9’. I have been watching a-lot of video footage taken inside of large indoor commercial grows. It seems to me that their LED lights are usually 3-5 feet above the top of their plants when they are fully grown and almost fully flowered. And sometimes even further away when the plants are young! These big grow operations are simply providing a-lot of good quality light, filling the space without having to be too close to the actual canopy of the plants. From what I’ve seen it’s working for them so I’ve lifted mine up quite a bit for the remainder of this grow and we’ll see what happens. The third and final change worth mentioning is the increase in water. By the end of Week 2, I am having to increase the water to 2.1 litres every 4th day (0.53 of a litre per day, per plant). There is now enough water to soak all the way down and maybe even show a bit around the bottom edges of the fabric pot. The plants are growing rapidly now and they were definitely ready for more H2O. That’s it for now and thanks for reading!
I agree with your method for your lights I stopped using the dimmer on my sf2000s and just kept them at 100% and used the height for intensity adjustment and I noticed that my plants didn't become sensitive to light increase even when they got close to the lights once in flower.
Now I upgraded my lighting to ES300s and have to use the dimmer because they are more powerful but I just raised the one to 48" like you have yours. Come visit...
Good luck on your grow they look great 👍😍

@Cyrusdavirus, buds soon- yes! But I’m concerned about how full my little tent is going to be with so much growth in the past two weeks. Always an adventure!
