Week 1
Germinated right in the substrate (2 gallon pot).
Had 1 pretty pop the next the other 2 took
another day.
1 of the girls appears to have some white fuzzy mold. I sprayed with a water vinegar mixture. I'll probably give her another day or 2 before I cull.
I just water with Ph bottled spring water for the first 2 weeks then I'll slowly add In Emerald Harvest.
Im very new to this and learning as I go.. I'll try to post pics weekly.
If anyone has any advice, dos or donts feel free to leave a comment.
Was a little late getting this post up but today is Day 12 I believe and what I'd like to consider the first day of veg for the Apple Cups
Done a little stretching over the week as to the light only being on 10% . So we cranked that up to 25% and added a rubber plant tie for support.
We gave our first watering this week. We are using Emerald Harvest so I won't be giving nutrients anytime soon. We mixed half a gallon of spring water and half a tsp of mychorizzae.
Unfortunately my other 2 Apple Cups I planted did not make it. I believe that was due to not taking the humidity domes off after they sprouted. Rookie mistake but now I know.
My wonderful wife started 2 Aculpolco Golds from Barney's Farm and they are thriving. Diary will be updated to reflect.
Like I said last week guys I'm fairly new and would love and tips or things you think I can add to my set up
No big changes for this week.
Gave ph'd water
Turned up the wattage in the lights to about 40 percent. Plan on staying in this range for the rest of veg
Week 3 was very busy being fall break for the kiddos.
We gave our first dose of nutrients. Im using the full Emeralf Harvest line up at a quarter of the recommended dose.
Responded very well looking to top next week
This week was a big week for us. The first time I've ever topped a plant.
It responded quickly im not sure if it was even stressed.
We grew up to the 5th node and topped it back to the 3rd.
I will probably top 2 more times. I have two other plans I would like to flower with this so I'll top until they are ready.
Overall good week in my eyes.
Fell behind with my updates due to the holiday and a broken phone. As usual any tips would be greatly appreciated. Keep the peace and smoke one of us
Topped our main cola another time. That'll probably be the last topping. Recovered very well.
Started some LST to to bush it out a little.
She increased her water uptake and we are around a liter every 2 days.
So far I prefer photos over autos. It just seems like better use of your time and space.
We were able to top our other two plants and get them in the tent.
The apple cup is very happy. Excellent genetics although I think she may he getting root bound she's drinking water every day. May transplant soon
Translated the Apple Cup to a 5 gallon pot (right)
Added Two Acapulco Golds from Barneys Farm they are loving the light and have started to bush out.
The smell in this tent is amazing I can't put my finger on it. Kinda skunky kinda piney
The Apple cups responded well to the transplant and has increased its water intake.
At the end of last week we decided to go ahead and transplant the A.Gs as well and they have rooted with no problems.
Worked in the trellis net over the week and let them grow into it. First time doing it seems simple enough
All three girls are drinking about a little over half a gallon.
The plants seemed to healthy so in week 9 we done a heavy defoiliation and changed the lights to 12-12.
We dropped our lights to 24inches and got them running between 75-80% ill most likely stick with this until after the pre flower stretch.
They are drinking about a gallon every 2 days. I'm surprised every time I open the tent.
2nd week of flower is going pretty well.
My humidity started to creep up so we done a light defoiliation.
I've yet to feed my flower nutes. I decided to give them some blackstrap molasses and mychorrhizae. Today is actually a water day so they may get nutes today.
Emerald harvest has been great the plants love it. Although I don't recommend giving the dosages they provide.
The garden still smells strong and there are a ton of bud sites. The only thing I have to compare this grow to are my previous auto runs and I am impressed
Week 3 of flower
So we had a power outtage due to a storm that came through. Lost power from 10a-6p which is most of my day cycle. So there is that.
The plants looks really well. Noticed a bit of spotting so I added some cal/mag with my last watering. Buds are hella frosty you can definitely see the Banana Butter cups coming through.
Thanks for stopping by please leave a like and tips and advice are always appreciated.
Week 12
The class are starting to stack with buds. I had to Supercross 2 of the class In order to keep my canopy evenish. We where worried that it may have been 2 late in flower but decided to do it anyway lol. The cropped top is still responsive to the light. So I guess we will see if I stressed her enough to go hermie
Still showing a little cal/mag deficiency in the first pheno of the AG. At the same time the buds on this plant are the biggest and most dense out of all 3.
We gave a composte tea in order to reset the PH in our medium. This will be the first time I've given one to a photo. We've had good results from giving them to autos so we shall see.
The smell coming from the tint has changed from a pine smell to a very sweet smell. I've smelled it before but can't think of the official terpene.
Overall I feel pretty solid about this grow. My plan is to go 75days from first pistils I believe that leaves me about 6 weeks to go.
Thanks for stopping by and checking us out. I feel like our grows have increased 10 fold since we've started using grow diaries.
Leave a like and drop a comment if you have any tips or advice. Happy holidays smoke one for us.
Week 5
The Apple cups are starting to frost up nicely. I can tell it won't be a huge yield but it'll definitely be some quality smoke
Unfortunately I had to pull one of the Acapulco Golds do to a few naners. I only have 4 weeks or so left of flower but didn't wanna risk it. So it's currently in my dry room. And yes I'm a pot head so I'm still gonna smoke it lol or atleast try.
The other Acapulco Gold is doing very well not a ton of resin production but its very stick, dense, and loud.
Overall I'm still satisfied. Emerald Harvest has done its job although I hate doing the math for the nutes. My next run im gonna go back to Gaia Green
She's been drinking a lot of water recently about a gallon a day with very little run off and the buds are starting to fatten up as a result.
I'm gonna need to find a way to prop them up. So i don't get my heart broken again. Still producing frost. Each day im amazed every time I open the tent.
The trichomes are about 5% amber so we still have 2 or 3 weeks to go. The struggle is real
Although we've decided to use Gaia Green the next run Emerald Harvest has been great and definitely has a place in our garden.
Last week of flower.
The buds have stopped fattening up and my trichomes are about 10/90 for that nice head buzz I like.
Since we are running Emerald Harvest I flushed for a week.
Our dry room had some very low humidity due to snow that came through. So instead of my 9 day dry we finished at day 5
She was very easy to grow. I probably could have pushed my nutes harder but didn't wanna over do it.
I think our total weight was around 4 ounces. I'm not big into weighing because it's all personal so as long as my jars are full im happy .
The buds are purple dense and covered in trichomes. The bag appeal is great. Overall I'm pleased with this run.
I've smoked some of the small buds that we are gonna turn into hash. Very gassy and musty. Probably some of the best smell bud I've had in a while and it hits like Tyson.
If I can remember ill be back in 6 weeks after cure for a full smoke report.
Thank you guys for taking the time to check out our grow. The love this community shows is unreal. I appreciate all the feed back and the folks dropping by just to say high.
We are resetting the tent for our next photo run which will be Blueberry kush from seedsman.
We are also setting up a 5x5 for autos. This will be ran under a Black Dog led which I am stupid excited about.
So hopefully in the next few weeks I'll have those up and running. Until then be safe and smoke one for us.
Very pleased with this harvest. I'm sitting on 3/4 of pounds of some solid bud. Had issues in late flower due to super cropping a plant in week 5 but that was all my fault. 3 plants 280gs pleased
Hey! Happy growing my friend! I hope you do well and get some good results! I will come by sometime to see your progress!
