Beginning of week.. Forgot to update end of last week.. Blah.. She has now been topped.. The roots are going everywhere and nowhere at the same damn time lol. Hopefully that means good things for the transplant.. I wanted to do that today.. But the 5 gallon fabric pot with coco/perlite (you see in the pics off to the side) is having runoff pH come out at 6.8 - 7.0.. Even when watering at 5.8.. Going to try and flush a bunch of 5.5 today.. Then the last gallon, just adjust to whatever it is coming out.. Gonna get started on that now, actually.. So, hopefully, I can transplant either today or tomorrow! These roots need it.. BAD.. And to add some Mycorhizae (not even gonna try to spell it right) to the roots and plop her in (obviously, not just plop her in)... But yeah lol Later that night.. Ok so I flushed many times.. 2 gallons at 5.5.. 4 gallons at 5.8.. Another gallon at 5.8 and then I fed with one more gallon at 6.2.. Should be good now.. Runoff was starting to come out at 6.4 - 6.3.. I probably shouldnt water daily.. Hmm.. Or maybe I should.. Fuck idk lol.. Just gonna wing it like I normally do 🤞🤞🤞 Almost mid week.. She is doing great.. Just plain pH'd water.. 6.2 pH at 123 PPM.. Runoff.. 6.2 at 450 PPM.. That's from the last feed.. At this point, I'll probably just water/feed every other day.. If she seems to be drinking more.. Then I'll go to daily.. But even today the top of the medium was still wet looking.. Starting to dry but still mostly moist. I went ahead and brought my ultrasonic cool mist humidifier.. I can get this tent from 40% to 60% RH in 3 mins! Not even exaggerating! Lol.. So I keep it at about 60% power and the tent goes from 60% to 55% RH.. Should be good enough.. Got all the fan running.. 3 just on the light.. Exhaust.. Intake.. And 2 fans at canopy area.. Damn thats alot of airflow! But it is much needed.. Able to keep temps at about 78F - 82F.. Should be fine even if it reaches 85F.. But I try to keep it from getting that high.. Can't wait till winter time.. No need for a heater.. The light at 75% power is perfect enough! And plenty of μMols too.. I prefer an overkill light.. Can get plenty of μMols at 75% or even 50% power and the unit will barely heat up!.. Plus, that SHOULD help with extending the life of the diodes and the driver.. Electricians like to use the 80/20 rule.. Which is incredibly smart.. So why not use the 80/20 rule with lights.. Makes better sense to me.. Yeah, if i need to, I can take it to 100%.. But that is more μMols than could EVER be needed in this tent! Not using C02.. Other than my breath lol.. So yeah, it works out perfectly! Mid week.. She is doing great! 👍 the yellowing you see has stopped spreading.. Those leaves will be removed the day I notice that each branch has the same amount of leaf space getting enough photons.. By the time the branch can recieve more photons than the fan leaf.. Then the fan leaf is not doing more than the branch itself.. Idk that's my take on it.. Plus, if the fan leaf is yellow, it isnt photosynthesising as well, if at all.. But the bottom 2 nodes' branches should be fine to fend for themselves before this week is over. Going to try and not overdo defoliating throught the grow.. I want her to have plenty of foliage in veg.. But once flipping to flower, I'm going to lollipop the shit out of her.. And go a little higher than I normally do to avoid larfy nugs. This will be my second time with ScrOG and first time ScrOGging the entire tent with just 1 plant.. She seems like she will be a stretcher for sure!.. Rootzone is being nothing short of spectacular! Runoff is spot on.. Not fuck ups this run.. That minor yellowing is nothing.. That won't even exist within the next 7 days! Lol.. But yeah.. Gonna also do my best to barely feed her to keep her happy and healthy.. See if that helps with taste.. My last harvest in this tent (2 ETHOS strains) I overfed alot.. You could see alot of leaf tip burns and its decent buzz.. Still looks AMAZING.. but the taste isnt right. Its been curing for 4 weeks and still doesnt seem to taste right.. It does taste alot better.. I'm really trying to cure that harvest out as long as possible to see if the taste does get much better than it already has during this 4 week cure.. It has improved quite a bit.. But thats just the starches and chlorophyll breaking down.. I want the terps to be just as they were when she was growing.. That could have alot to do with temps not being able to be kept down below 70F.. Below 78F, yeah.. But that may not be enough to keep terps from fading away 😭.. I wonder if I could just use a mini fridge.. At the lowest setting.. Just place the jars in there.. Making sure moisture doesnt get in... Hmmmm... Future experiment! Lol Almost end of week.. Already finding some preflower along the newer branches.. Main stalk doesnt show any.. But that's understandle!.. They are already shooting pistils! Noice! The leaves are giving off a great scent already.. Of course, not dank.. Just promising of future terps! Lol.. Even in veg, each strain can give off different scents.. I guess it's still terps? Idk.. Kinda cool tho.. But wow she is showing some serious growth! I'm seeing some roots at the top of the soil.. Which is odd, because she was planted super deep into the cup in the first week.. If I remember correctly, without looking back lol, she was pretty tall and I reburied a bit.. She has sprouted new roots up the stem.. Which is good to know.. Kinda like how a cutting grows roots.. Very interesting.. But damn why are they coming up to the top of the medium? I water in 1 gallon in 1 liter bottles at a time.. Takes a good 15 mins to get it all in there till the point I am collecting the runoff.. So theres no way Im watering too fast.. It doesn't puddle.. It pretty much flows right through.. But oh well.. There are PLENTY of happy healthy roots down in there.. Should be seeing them start poking out of the fabric pot soon! But wow, she is growing so fast! I love growing in coco/perlite.. I really wanna try coco with worm castings and dry amendments! Mr. Canuk just makes it look so awesome and easy! Lol.. Cant believe I still haven't tried it yet! But I am quite satisfied with coco and synthetics, so far.. Anyways.. Just wait till the end of the week update pics are up! She could have showed alot more growth by then from now! I love waking up and taking a peak in to see how she is doing! Also.. Hoping my ultrasonic humidifier isn't going to begin spitting out that white dust crap again.. Im using tap water.. But I put those tiny blue demineralizing capsules in the tank.. 2 actually.. If this doesnt work.. I give-up.. May start trying to use rainwater or something.. Cuz that is just insane.. I am not buying a gallon of distilled water to fill this mf'r with.. That's gonna be too expensive!.. But anyway.. Update with pics tomorrow! End of week.. Just look at all that branching! Still just watering/feeding every other day.. Missed today but the medium is still pretty moist so she should still have plenty of water in there. Also, as a reminder, I'm doing water, feed, water, feed, etc... My ladies seem to always love it.. Medium doesn't build up with salt EVER.. But if I try to feed, feed, water, feed, feed, water, etc., it seems to tend to build up pretty fast.. So just feeding every other watering is what works best for me.. The next 7 days should have some serious growth! So excited for it!... On to the next...
