Both seeds sprouted on 9/25/2021. One of them is an OG Kush by Fastbuds which I planted in a 2.5 gallon pot. The other plant is a freebie I received with my order. It's an Original Skunk #1 Auto by North Atlantic Seed Co planted in a 1.75 gallon pot. Both seeds were planted in fox farm ocean forest soil mixed with perlite and put under a 30w full spectrum LED that I like to use for seedlings. I will put them under my 100w quantum board after a week or so.

The Skunk Auto is growing fast. The OG Kush is slightly smaller. It could be a result of one of its cotyledons dying, I'm not sure. I noticed both seedlings started to stretch a bit on day 3 or 4 so I moved the light closer. That seemed to do the trick. All in all I'm pleased with how these two ladies have started.

Really pleased with their progress so far. I have my quantum board turned up to 80% now and plan to start feeding them Jacks 321 nutrients in a week or two most likely.

Still no nutes. Just rain water every few days. I'm starting to think about how I'm going to train them. The stem is fairly thick and sturdy and both girls are bushier than they are tall so they don't seem to want to bend very easily. I raised the light a couple of inches so hopefully they will stretch a bit more. I began LST on the Skunk #1 on day 20. I bent the main stem over a bit and held it in place using a pipe cleaner. I decided to top the OG Kush only so I can compare results at the end. We'll see how it goes! I purchased a second 100w quantum board this week. Plan to introduce it once they start flowering so each plant gets their own light.

Everything is still going well. The Skunk Auto just showed it's first signs of flowering a few days ago. Both plants were given their first feeding of Jack's 321 this week (1/4 strength) and they seem to be taking it well! I also set up my other 100w grow light this past week in hopes of giving each plant all the light they can handle! Both lights are now turned up to 100% intensity.

The stretch has arrived! Both plants have grown over 5 inches in the last week! The Skunk is a little further along in the flowering process than the OG Kush, but the OG is coming along nicely as well. They received their first full feeding of Jack's 321 on October 28th and they seem to be loving it. I performed some light defoliation this week just to promote better air flow and to open up some of the lower bud sites to more light.

The flowering process is well underway for both of these girls now. They have both been much thirstier than they were during the vegetative phase and I find myself needing to water them approximately ever 48 hours. I have continued feeding them the Jack's nutrients but recently I have started to notice some yellowing on the tips of some of the newer growth. On a few of the leaves the tips yellow tips have turned brown after a few days. I am unsure of exactly what might be causing this. Nute burn perhaps? Or light burn? Possibly a deficiency? Fortunately both plants still seem to be moving right along so I am not overly concerned at the moment. Still, I would like to identify the problem so it can be corrected. I performed some more LST on the OG Kush this week (on day 40 to be exact) by tying down all of the main branches so they were all at a similar height. Within just 36 hours all of the branches have started turning back towards the light and the mid section of the plant that had previously been blocked from getting light has exploded with growth. I am incredibly pleased with how great the training has been going and I plan to readjust the branches again in a few days. The training went so well on the OG that I figured I might as well do some training with the Skunk as well. This plant was a bit trickier since the stems are already so thick. I did manage to pull several of the main branches down and away from the center of the plant and tie them in place with gardening wire. Hopefully she takes to it as well as the OG Kush did! During this process I also performed some light defoliation. I removed a few of the lower fan leaves that had started to yellow as as well as two or three leaves that were blocking bud sites.

It's day 49 and I have finally gotten myself a proper grow tent!!! No more dank closet growing for this guy. I've moved my plants into their new space and even though it's a larger space (2x4) I still think my plants will benefit. I realize 200w is a bit on the low side for a 2x4 but it will have to do for now. The girls are getting smelly! I swear the smell almost reminds me of coffee. The Skunk #1 is really starting to thicken up while the LST I performed on the OG Kush has opened up a ton of new bud sites. Unfortunately I think I overfed the OG Kush and burned her a little so I'm currently just giving her PH'd water. Really excited with their progress!

This past week has been rough. If you have been following my grow then you know I thought I was dealing with some nutrient burn issues a couple of weeks ago. I flushed both plants and held back on nutrients for two waterings. Unfortunately whatever I did seems to have exacerbated my problems. In just a matter of days many of the fan leaves have turned brown and crispy. Other have turned yellow and started showing brown spots. As a new grower I'm not sure exactly what is going on. I figure it was a mistake to flush. Maybe my girls are suffering from phosphorus or magnesium deficiencies? I don't know. I have started feeding again with Jack's. They have had two 1/2 strength feedings over the last week but so far the problems only seem to be getting worse. At this point I'm just hoping they finish. I'm kind of at a loss!

Over the past week my plants have taken a turn for the worse. Many leaves went from yellowing to browning to completely crispy! Other leaves have brown spots on them and some of the stems are purple.

Your ph is put of line in your substrate causing lock out. Your experiencing a few different things. From phosphorus, to magnesium, to potassium deficiencys. Fixing issues will stop plant from becoming worse, but it will look like it does till finish. The leaves don't repair themselves. Good thing you don't have really long left. Enjoy the harvest 🌱🤜🤛

The Skunk #1 seems to have recovered (somewhat) and looks like she's making progress again. A few more weeks left for her I'd say. Her sweet, fruity smell has become very strong. The OG Kush still hasn't shown much progress since all of these lockout issues first started. She seems to have stalled. I'm worried that she may still be locked out so for the time being it's just pH'd water for her. I'm hoping she starts to show some progress soon!

After several rough weeks both my plants seem to have finally recovered from their lockout issues due to overfeeding. The Skunk #1 is crushing it and while the OG Kush still looks a ways behind I can see that she has finally started growing again after stalling out for the last couple of weeks. I think the Skunk needs another week or two while the OG Kush probably still needs another month or so. For now I am still just giving her pH'd water but I think I will reintroduce a very small dose of nutes later this week. Thanks to everyone who helped me solve my lockout problems!!

Week 11 is in the books and both plants continue to crush it. I think I finally have my soil pH and nutes dialed in perfectly. The Skunk looks to be getting really close to the finish line. I used my loupe and checked out the trichs a couple of days ago and while most of them are cloudy there are still a few that are clear and I'm not seeing much amber yet. I imagine she's still going to need another week or two. The OG Kush is really starting to get thick. It's such a great feeling watching her fatten up after she had stalled for those couple of weeks. She still isn't as far along as the Skunk but she's definitely the more frosty of the two. I'm actually super impressed with the amount of crystals I'm seeing on the OG. I can't wait to see what she looks like when she's done!

Today marks day 80 since they sprouted and day 53 of flower. Thinking about chopping in a day or two and wanted to see what some of you guys thought. Will they thicken up more if I give them another week or two? Do the trichs look almost ready?

Or even just a few more days. I base all my flowering on a 56 day minimum. But if your tricomes are all milky white she’s ready to be pulled. You can also wait a few more days choose to let some of the tricomes to turn amber and enjoy a bit more flavour. But I’d say around 5-10 days depending on what you want out of your weed. I’m pretty much in the same boat your are at day 54 for me. Happy Harvest 🤙

I think the Skunk is just about ready to chop. I've heard different people say different things about whether it's actually important to flush before harvest but I decided to try it on this first grow. The Skunk was given only water this week. I plan to give her one more watering tomorrow and then chop her down a 2-4 days after that. The OG Kush seems to still be fattening up and I'm not seeing any amber trichs yet. Lots of milky trichs, though. She isn't as dense as the skunk and I'm not sure she ever will be. She's insanely frosty, though, and her smell is strong and pungent. l'm going to let her go another couple of weeks and start checking her trichs daily until I start seeing some amber.

Hey all! So as you can see I still have not harvested the Skunk. I thought I would have by now but I have been monitoring the trichomes daily until I see a bit more amber. I checked this morning and it's looking really good. I think today is the day! Like last week, the OG Kush seems to still be fattening up. It is getting close but still not quite done yet. I need to make room in my tent soon for one of my new plants so I will probably give her one more week and then chop her down. She is looking SO frosty. I can't wait to see how she turns out.

This was my first real grow so in truth I don't have much to compare it too. She wasn't especially difficult or fussy. I had some overfeeding issues but she recovered nicely after a thorough flush. I definitely recommend giving this strain a try if you're lucky enough to get a freebie from North Atlantic Seed Co!
