NY Diesel Auto Feminised is an auto-flowering version of the celebrated New York City Diesel. It is mostly indica while also displaying some sativa-like cerebral effects to accompany the deep relaxation that it provides.
NY Diesel Auto grows to a height of 60 – 100 cm. tall and develops plenty of side-branches that produce nice, dense buds. Growers can harvest yields of yields of around 600 gr/m2 in just 60 - 70 days from germination. This strain can also be grown successfully outdoors due to the hardy ruderalis genetics.
The scent is very dank with notes of diesel fuel. THC production is in the region of 14 – 16% while CBD levels are around 2%. The overall effect has an initial cerebral quality leading into bodily relaxation and a sense of wellbeing while not being physically incapacitating
10/5
Dropped two NY Diesel Auto seeds into a shotglass of room temp spring water. Placed the shotglass in a dark warm cupboard.
I will be preparing the medium today as well. The plan is 24 hours in the shotglass, 24 hours in a wet paper towel, then straight into 3gal fabric pots that have already been cooking for 2 days. They'll go under 18/6 with RH at 60% to 70%.
10/6
One seed has a tiny tap root and is still floating in the glass. The other seed fell to the bottom but has no taproot. Letting them stay in the shotglass another 12 hours.
10/7
Diesel #2
Half inch tap root and she sank to the bottom of the shotglass finally. I wet the coco-perl with PH 6.35 room temp water with Fish Sh!t in it. Let's grow Diesel #3 without Fish Sh!t for comparison.
Diesel #3
She has a miniscule taproot and it's black. Could just be film from the seed case where it cracked. I put her in a damp paper towel and stuck her in the dish washer. We'll check back in 12 hours.
12 hours later, no change. Then I realized I forgot to put it in a zip lock. The paper towel was still wet tho. Put it in a zip lock, will check in the morning.
10/8
We have a taproot on NY Diesel #3. Put some Azos in the drop site and sowed the seed. Half a shot glass of water to seal it in. 18/6, 67% RH, 80°f

Day 1 for Diesel #2. Welcome to this dark and twisted world. May you contribute to a brighter space for all who come into contact with you🤙🏾
10/10
Day 1 for Diesel #3. Nice of you to join your sister. I will nurture you, and in turn you will nurture me. Welcome.
10/10 PM
Both girls are running from the light. Move it up to 30" at 100w. Also gave them both a humidity dome.
Day 5
They are coming along as expected. Working on dialing in environment. Temps are low 80s RH is around 65%.
Day 7
Adjusting fans to increase airflow and a sticky trap fell right onto Diesel #3. Of course when I lifted it off, it ripped the leaves. Beyond pissed right now!!!!!!

Day 10
I have learned the plants do best when I leave them alone. Both girls are fine under 180w or 45% of the ViparSpectra P4000. Light watering today. Repositioned.
Day 12/13
Steady growth, just waiting to water when dry.
Day 14
Watered with spring water PH6.4 with no Fish Sh!t. No real reason for plain water other than it feels weird to use it with every watering. Split a 16oz bottle between the two girls. Increased lights to 55%.

Day 17
Both girls have been progressing nicely. Nice growth. Removed a male tentmate today. Pots are roughly half weight, may need water tomorrow or the day after.
Day 18
Gave then both a neem oil top drench. Switched light schedule to take advantage of cooler night temps and lower electric use cost. Just gotta make sure I can prevent light leaks. (12p to 6p)
Day 19
Gave both girls a light top fill of CocoLoco to reduce stretch. Great growth this past week.

Day 22
Starting Week 4 with a nice growth spurt from both girls. They drank well and needed water. No Fish Sh!t this watering. Added the humidifier back in the tent as night humidity drops to 35%. It is set to 50%
Day 25
Nice, big, green fan leaves. She gained some height as well. Leaves have some droop but no signs of stress. Will water when the lights come back on. A few (5) more days and I will top dress. 50% veg nutes & 50% bloom nutes. Or maybe 50% all purpose & 50% bloom. We'll see. These two are reaping the benefits of what I learned on the previous two plants and I'm proud of their progress.
Night 25
Both pots were about 40% of their full wet weight so I gave them both roughly 8oz with Fish Sh!t. Both are showing sex! NY Diesel Auto #2 is definitely the best of the bunch. Node spacing, structure, size, and way more trichomes than Diesel #1 (week 7).

50%/50% veg & flower nutes. 2Tbl of worm castings and a pinch of Azoz. Top dressed, watered it in at 6.3PH, leaf tucked, and gave her a Neem Oil top drench. Lights on 80% (320w).
Day 30
NY Diesel Auto #3 got a pony tail so her under growth can catch up. Light watering including Fish Sh!t, to start consuming the amended nutes (both plants). Tucked a few leaves.
NY Diesel Auto #2 has slight taco leaves at the top. Dialed the light back to 75%. Will reassess in 48 hours.
Day 31
NYD#2 is funky!!!😤💨
Day 33
NYD#2 Had a 2" growth spurt. When the lights come back on, I'm going to LST the branches and crank the light to 90%.
NYD#3 is bushing underneath main. She's almost outgrown the pony tail. Need to figure out how to handle the growth (LST, defoliation, tucking).

Somehow I miscalculated the days and started week 6 prematurely. I will just continue here thru to week 7
Day 32 From Seed
NYD#2
Started LST. Pot was light, watered at 6.3 including Fish Sh!t.
NYD#3
The pony tail backfired. The main is mangled. Despite small nodes, I started LST and watered at 6.3 including Fish Sh!t.
Day 33 From Seed
Did some research and found out the ponytail should only be used during the light cycle and removed for the dark period. I left it on, which caused the ugly. Lesson learned!
Day34
Adjusted and added LST. Watered #2 at 6.5. #3 was still heavy, no water needed.
Day 37
Watered, adjusted LST
Day 39 From Seed
Watered, adjusted LST. Found a bug that isn't a fungus gnats (NYD#3). Inspected both plants for more. Did a neem oil top drench and added Vicks Vapor Rub to the pot rims (bug deterrent). So raised light roughly 4 inches.
Day 41
Light watering, adjusted LST ties, top drenched with Neem Oil. Added a few ounces of peroxide to the humidifier. They'll both need a top dress soon.
Day 44 From Seed
NYD3 - Top Dressed with Roots Organics Terp Tea Bloom. Watered in at 6.3. Bent over the top 90° LST
NYD2 - Top Dressed with Roots Organics Terp Tea Bloom. Layered with 4 cups of Coco-Loco. Watered in at 6.3PH.
Day 48
Watered with Worm Tea till runoff
3Tbls Organic Castings
1Tbls Terp Tea Bloom
1Tbls Organic Blue Light Agave
3/4 gallon of spring water.
Tea went in at 6.35PH, ran off at 5.0.
Is that normal runoff variance?
Day 49
Added a trellis net. Also added CalMag (6ml per gallon) and Fish Sh!t to the water, but they didn't need much water today.
Day 52
Watered with Fish Sh!t & calmag. Adjusted LST on #3.
Day 54
Watered with Fish Sh!t & calmag. LST mains on both. Lowered trellis and light. Light is at 16" to maximize the last 2 weeks. Found out it's actually a 70 day pheno and not 86 days, so...
Day 56
Adjusting the trellis, I broke a branch, right at the stem. It was under the main and not receiving much light anyway, so...
Also did a deep defoliation on NYD3. Got rid of anything that won't produce keepers. Trying to finish strong (14 days left).💪🏾💪🏾
Day 58
One leaf on each plant was discolored. No major fade yet. Each have a distinct smell. #2 smells like old school refer. It gives a real nostalgic 80s vibe. #3 smells like pine and Bengal. Watered top and bottom, with just a bit of CalMag.
Day 60
48oz of pH 6.8 water. 1 or 2 leaves showing small amount of yellow, but nothing resembling fade. The canopy is green green, like she can go another month. A few of the nugs are impressive, but could be better if I had defoliated better. 60% of the bud sites are small and roughly 40 to 50% dense (assuming 100% is rock hard).
Water, tucking, and plucking for the remainder.
Day 62
It's a 70 day strain and with 8 days to go, there is no fade. Frustrating since I am over cooking my other plant for the sake of these two. They haven't done anything in over a week. Maybe that last heavy defoliation stunted them. So sad. Buying a jewelers loop tomorrow to check trichomes. The only other thing that could be delaying the fade is that I top dressed them both with Terp Tea Bloom. Maybe that top per gallon is hot and takes more than 2 weeks to be used up. I'm going to flush it tonight. Not even sure I should care about pH because I want it locked out from nutrient uptake. They just shouldn't be this dark green at this stage.🙄☹️😕😤
Ok so I pulled off the trellis net and LST ties, defoliated some more, and flushed both with 1 gallon each of distilled water. Added a little 3% peroxide to NYD3.
Day 63
I figured it out. I made compost tea for NYD#1 to address a suspected deficiency. I gave these two some of it, and they didn't need it. It was half way thru flower. I followed that by top dressing with the new nutes. Lesson learned. What's good for the goose is NOT good for the gander.
Day 66
Nugs are getting fat and dense. Still no fade, but plenty of brown pistils. She'll be ready for chop of day 70. They'll get watered to runoff about an hour after lights come on.
Night 66
Lights out for 24 hours. Choppa City tomorrow!
It grew as expected right up until the last 2 weeks. I loaded too much nutes and it never faded. Other than that, it was a resilient and forgiving strain.
