Long time connoisseur, 1st time grower. I started thinking I wanted to do outdoor, but where I live, it’s pretty cool until almost mid June. So in July I committed to indoors, and have been slowly figuring it out, while consuming TONS of content and advice from forums. High Hope’s! 😎
Still bringing them in and out each day. They are filling in nicely. Also did some LST, bending, twisting and tying down of some side branches. Fed with slightly more than 1/2 dose of nutrient’s recommended
Moving along, no issues. Bring them outside around 10 am and back in around 8pm to put back under the blurples. Starting the early veg doses of nutrients with each feeding. I’m keeping the soil pretty dry in between watering.
Getting to be lankier. Seeing some good stretch. Going to be transplanting very soon to 3 gallon pots. Realizing quickly that I may need to switch to indoors. Just not enough time to flower properly where I live…
Last week of Veg I’m done waiting, I’m pretty sure the genetics of this plant are just squat and bushy. The mother I got them from looked like a miniature tree!
I’ve been doing a lot of content consuming, and there seems to be something to running an 11 light/13 dark cycle. It makes sense when you dive into it. I think that’s what I’m going to run for the flower cycle, don’t know if it’s bro science, but enough people I talked to about it, agree that at the very least, it won’t harm it 🤔🤷♂️…let’s find out together !
Week 1 (Day 7) Flower- Running with the Indo nutrient line, easy to use, 3 bottles. They were recommended from the friend I got the clones from, and his did great. The girls started to stretch immediately, waited till day 7 flower to start the Flowering nutrient dosages.
Setup:
2x4x5 AC Infinity Tent
X2 LED 600 watt (blurples ☹️)
X2 6” clip on fans for canopy and light heat
Floor fan pushing fresh air from the bottom
Vivosun 4”in-line fan/12” carbon filter
Humidifier in the tent
Dehumidifier In the lung room for excess Rh
Timers set to 11 hours 💡/ 13 hours 🌜💤
Week 2 (Day 14) Flower- New BP 2500 was installed Sept. 17th, the girls are loving the full spectrum and extra watts they are getting now 😎😊 found a cool feature in iPhones when you click to edit a photo, the magnifier effect. It’s pretty cool.
The week went well, started to form bud sites and pistils. Temp and RH have been steady. No deficiencies yet 🤞
Week 3 (Day 21) Flower- This was the last week of messing about, no more defoliating or bending and flexing. Did a heavy defoliation. Noticed some yellowing of the lower level leaves, added a few +mls of the grow and bud bottles, will water mid week with straight ph’d water (6.5) as I don’t want my medium to get to high, or get nutrient lockout. these nutes uptake best between 5.8 and 6.2, otherwise rolling along nicely. 😎💨
Week 4 (Day 28) Flower- stacking nicely, not a whole lot of weight yet but they are filling out the canopy pretty evenly. The lower bud sites are starting to come up now even with the majority, but there are a few over achievers 🤤 Starting to get some frost, and there is a weak/faint smell. Smells the best right when the lights come on 😎
Week 5 (Day 35) Flower- the week was uneventful. Building stacks, no issues, it’s been rainy here so the humidity has been high, the old dehumidifier is getting a workout 💪 I lowered the light an inch, might not seem like much, but I’ll watch and see if they can handle it. Full feed of nutrients tomorrow when the lights come on😎
Week 6 (Day 42) - This week was a lot more manageable with temps as it has cooled off. I also was able to pick up a portable AC unit that has dehumidifier built in. I Macgyver’d a bunch of ductwork so I can run a hose to my tent, Amazing 🤩. I have been able to run consistent at 74 degrees with lights on, and 68-69 degrees with lights off, and humidity between 43-50 %
Lots of new growth this week at the bottom canopy, both bud and leaf. Kinda gives me a better idea of timeline with this strain, I think it’s going to go 10-11 weeks from what I see online. Trichomes are still clear, but the hairs are turning nice colours, and I think I se me a touch of pink starting…👀
Buds continued to thicken, again, not huge by any means, but the ones that were small are fattening up, and there are so many of them 🤗 I think I’m going to feed nutrients this week, Monday is the start of week 7, and assess the situation then to determine when to start straight water feeds to begin the flush…
Week 7 (Day 49) Flower- Another week in the books! Pretty easy going this week, two feeds, they were thirsty, and look like they are drying out already due to the low RH and thirsty buds… 😊
I thought that this might be a 10 week strain or so, but this week the trichomes have really become cloudy, with just a hint of amber in a small few. Last week they were all crystal balls, this week almost 50/50 from what I can tell…
I think it’s time to start the flush process with just straight ph’d water.
Getting excited and nervous at the same time, I’ve been nursing these girls along since June, and despite really not having any major issues, I am fully aware I could still F@$k it up when it comes to the dry and cure! Anyways, I’ll be looking for those tips and tricks Gromie’s 😊👊
Week 8 (Day 56) Flower- Sooo close! Another week done, and just days away from harvest. I’m going to do one more day of light, and then 48-60 hours of dark, then girls get chopped 🤗 They are smelling strong 👃, like OG skunk, sandalwood/cedar and cherry wine. I can’t wait!
I’m looking online for some new Autoflower’s to fill in between getting some new photos going in the new year. New grow starting soon!
Overall, for my first grow, I’d have to say it went pretty well 🤗 These were clones from a friend who had great results, and was using the same nutrients. The stunted growth in veg was my fault, Ph was out of wack, in the soil and with my feeding. Rookie mistakes. I also didn’t get the BP2500 until 2nd week of flower… again sooo many things I have overcome, learnt from, and will adapt to the next grow! I’m hooked 🤩 I have no idea what this weighs wet, but I will 100% update when dried, trimmed and ready for jars. Much ❤️ and respect to all the Growmie’s out there with encouragement and advice 👊
