26 Oct 21: reservoir (14L tote) is still pretty much full. Have an air stone bubbling to keep the water oxygenated. Ph is likely 8.0 but soil microbiology should help balance it through slow drip.
09 Nov 21: Week 5, returned home. Plants are quickly outgrowing the tent and require a bit more room and lighting. Blumats has worked well for them, but it appears they did go through the reservoir prior to my return.
11 Nov 21: Reamended the soil with flower blend (3 tbsp/Gal) and resaturated the Blumat probes. Moved into a 3x3 tent with 2x HLG 135s and the SF1000 all dimmed to 40 watts each.
Week 6: plants are showing signs that they are underfed. Was a bit delayed reamending the nutrients and pushed it beyond 30 days, with a week required to break down the nutrients. Will monitor as one of the phenos is showing nitrogen deficiency and loosing leaves. Otherwise they’ve adjusted to their new tent with minor stress from moving.
Still showing signs of deficiencies and being underfed, had to make some adjustments to to the Blumats tropf watering system. Plants are drinking about a litre a day. Have to refill the 3.5 Gal reservoir twice weekly. Provided 1 tsp/Gal of seaweed extract this week dissolved in their water.
Definitely experiencing some issues. The 1 gal pots are likely to the culprit as they are almost entirely roots, and drinking heavily. The dry amendments had difficulty breaking down in the soil. Or perhaps the gap in feeding had a follow on effect. Will continue to monitor thé nutrients, but not ideal to see these kinda issues three weeks into flowering.
Still quite upset, too dressed them this week and provided additional boosters through drip irrigation to help. Lot of leave dying off, some of the blumat droppers were clogged resulting in a complete sanitization of the drip heads.
Four seeds, four totally different plants, would have like to train the plants, but let an all natural grow take place aside from some pruning. Ran into issues early on just being away for most of the grow, in the future time to improve on a better, fool proof system for watering. Both issues were preventable, just showed the resilience of the plants.
