11/3/21: Day 8. ๐งLeaves are now reaching the edge of the cup, and it will only be a few more days before it's needing a transplant. I'm happy with that, as I'd rather start getting ahead of the growth, allowing it to get as big as possible, while still being very healthy. Once the other leaves reach the edge, then it's time to move. Unsure if I will mix nutrients directly into the soil before repotting, or just stick with the lower dosage and just topdress. I will make that decision on the day, as I'm not sure what's best. I might even modify the dosage, like I did recently. I haven't seen any effects from that yet, so I'll make my decision based on that plants reaction.
11/4/21: Day 9. ๐งPlant now has all leaves reaching the edge of the cup. I will wait until tomorrow to perform the transplant. Colour is still looking good, no fading of the green. Height hasn't changed much, as it's spreading it's leaves out for the moment. I will top the plant at the 4th node, once the 6 node has appeared. Currently on the second node, pushing out the third.
11/5/21: Day 10. ๐งThe cup had been leaning slightly for some reason, resting against the other pot, causing the plant to grow slightly angled towards the light. This has provided me enough evidence to leave the plant in the solo cup for at least one more day, two at the most. Growth is still looking good, the third node is coming in strong, and the fourth is just forming. No FIM'img this round, definitely going to wait for a topping, so I can flower out the clone. Once topped, then I can continue pinching the cute little cheeks. Gave the plant another solid dose of water. I won't be watering it again until after the transplant.
11/7/21: Day 12. ๐๐ ๐งToday was transplant day, and it went beautifully. I premixed the nutrients into the soil before transplant, at 3 tablespoons per gallon. I transplanted into a 1.5 gallon bucket, that way the next transplant into a 5 gallon pot will be easy. I thought about transplanting directly into the 5 gallon pot, but figured this plan will allow the use of more nutrients early on. When I transplant next, it will be time for flowering. Watered in thoroughly, to promote root growth into the nutrient rich soil.
11/8/21: Day 13. The new leaves are bigger than they were yesterday, hopefully that's a sign that the plant had no issues from the transplant. A few more nodes of growth before I top this plant and clone it. I will veg it in the other tent, and only move it back over to flower under the more powerful light. I thought about FIM'ing it like the other plant, but I think I'd rather top it, so I can use them to judge which method I will use in the future. As they both produce the same result in the end, I think my choice will be based of whether I want to clone it or not.
11/9/21: Day 14. Plant is definitely taking hold of it's new home, as the leaves are nearly reaching the edges of the pot on both sides. New growth is exceptional, with a nice colouring. Two full weeks in this pot, before it's time for a transplant into it's final home, a 5 gallon smart pot. I will keep it vegging in the new home for a full month, and then I will switch nutrients to the bloom, and the lights to 12hrs. So, 6 more weeks before this one begins flowering. I'd rather keep it vegging longer, but the competition is a set time, so I need to be finished before it's over.
