Very nice germination, rested in the water glass for 14h and after switched it to paper towel and 3 days later was ready to put it in the soil with her 1/2'' tap root
I started an other maui wowie but it died after 3 days, i premixed 10 tbsp of gaia green 4-4-4 in my soil and it was to much for seedling so i dug the half of the pot and filled it with only promix hp and ewc and it started very well
Return from vacation! Not enough water need to defoliate dead leaves and water properly with bloom nute. And as you can see, she has a branch with purple leaves, it's because when i lst, i didn't noticed it, but the branch broke at the base but it growed over it! at this point i gave her 2L of water every 2 days!
Starting week 8 buds starting to fatten a little bit defoliate a little bit too everything seems to go nicely. Plant starting trichomes production.on day 51 it started to show some defiencies on the leaves as the flower drain more energy.
Beginning of week 9 every thing doing good buds get fatter, continuing to top dress with power bloom every 2 watering( 1tbsp for 3 gal) which is every 4-5 days.day 58 after examinatin the plant i noticed that there was a lot of leaves so i'll defiolate later in the day will uncover the lower buds sites. When defoliating i noticed too that some fan leaves were curling up some was curling on the side( in the direction of the wind) then i lowered the strenght of the fan from 2/3 to 1/3 and stopped the little usb fan.
So it s beginning of the 10th week and everything continue to go very well as the buds fatten up, some pistils started to turn orange. And i continue to give her 1 tbsp of powerbloom and 1 pbsp of 4-4-4 every 2 watering
Week 11 starting, i continue to feed her every 4 days. Everything looks normal flower continue to fatten up there's maybe 1/4 of the pistils that turned orange. I noticed that there was a little spot on a bud that some leaves has turned olive color and they are dry and crispy like chips and they are easy to pull out like if the base of the leaves were rotten but it happened on only 2-3 leaves i will keep an eye on them.
Day 72 did some defoliation this morning to be sure the plamt have some good ventilation to the buds, kinda hard to no touch too much the flowers and make any mistakes but we'll see...noticed too that plant start to be really frosty few trichoms start to milky and more pistils contimue to turn orange.
Update day 72. I openend the bud and noticed that bud rot was starting in the bud so took the decision to cut the stem, sad but if it can save the rest of the plant its a good thing. All other buds looks fine. I upped the ventilation and ceoss fingers that she make it to the finish line!
Buds starts to be really frosty!!! For the trichoms there's maybe 1/4 that are milky maybe a little less but everything doing good.
Day 76 there's a lot more orange/brown pistils and for the trichoms, i don't if it was because i did not see correctly but there is a lot of cloudy trichoms than i thought
Day 77 ok so now i had to make a big move. My pregnant wife says she can't tolerate the smell anymore (any small smell of it make her sick) even if i have a carbon filter so i had to move the tent upstairs in my bed room and fortunatly i have a portable a/c but now the rh is at 46-50% and the day temp is now at 20C . Fan is still on max with the other usb fan. Hope it will stay like this for the 12th week as everything seems to go well.
Not really a lot to say for this 12th week's start, still stressed a little bit from that bud rot episode.
Day 79 saldy found another bud that was rotting, same as the first but caught it earlier.
Ok so i added a fan to my setup both blow directly on plant and dehumifier in tent and a/c outside the tent.
Day 81 fan leaves start to die, majority of pistil are brown, majority of trichoms are milky some are amber but mostly on sugar leaves and flower are turning light purple, it start to smell harvest 😊
Day 84 all fan leaves are turning dark and crispy i'll harvest it this afternoon.
Plant grew as expected made lot of big buds! First time growing, i've smoked this strain before and it is my personnal favorite, we'll see after the 3 first weeks of curing
Tried to stop watering for the last 4 days, hang the stems in the tent.had that bud rot episodes that stressed me out and it's not over we'll at the end of the drying process in few days .i'll make an update on the weight after dry trim it and on taste after first weeks of curing.
After 7 days of drying, i trimmed the buds to get 62g of big and medium buds and 19g of trim and popcorn buds for a total of 81g and i think that with the 2 stems i cut because of bud rot, there would be maybe 10 more grams to it. No trace of bud rot everything seems to be perfect for now. Now e tering curing process we'll see! I will give an update of the taste and overall final product in 2-3 weeks . Happy grow guys!✌️
Brownish dry leaves in the buds that pull out easily? Last time I had that it was bud rot😞 snuck up on me and I lost a crop of trainwreck autos, I hope that’s not the case for you! Good luck I look forward to ur future updates.
@LimoneneLover_QC, the spores can spread yes, lower RH will slow the “growth” but the moisture level inside the buds will be much higher than the surrounding air.
@2highforu,thanks man i did washed my hands, i cut the stem that was affected and got it out of the tent, i removed the section that was comtaminated and drop it trash outside the rest that was not affected i put i in my drying cabinet way far from my tent so hope everything is ok. Does it spread even if the rh is below 50?
@2highforu,yep dropped some pics. For drying i'll hang the plant upside down directly in tent at 50% rh for 5-7 days with 2 fan blowing. For this step i dont know if it will enough for the bud rot not to develop or i'll need to break down buds i'm not sure yet
