So here we are, end of week 11. That final push. The days of never not staring at your plant. I wish I was able to find time to midweek update like I planned because about 50% of this baby had to be cut down on Tuesday afternoon, 10.26.21. I'm gonna post the bud and harvest pics sometime during the next week. And I know, "but the pistils", but you gotta trust me when I say even on the lower part of all of these buds it had a fair 95/5 split between amber and milky which is where i wanted this particular batch. It was a tough decision but I wanted those far lower, underdeveloped buds to fatten up and I am beyond happy with the results thus far. I'm guessing I'll get right around an ounce off of her. Not too shabby for a plant that's under 14 inches tall! In fact I am very pleased with it, all things considered. And not only looking forward to buying more of these beans, but really looking forward to getting my other seed in the dirt to see what it's really capable of. Just based off resilience alone, I'd recommend this to my worst enemy if they were just starting out with autoflowers. Heck, even if they've been growing them for a while.
I posted a picture of my mystery light, if anyone out there has any info for me that'd be good because I can't seem to find any and a big part of me wants to believe that this thing is really underperforming.
Nonetheless, this. thing. REEKS. Like skunky, pleasantly pungent, citrusy jet fuel. My girlfriend and I did sample a bud I quick dried (we all know how that is) over night, and the cerebral "heady" effects I wanted are are all there with a surprisingly decent body stone effect. The buds also have a really great purple tint to them, and I really wish my camera was good enough to capture that the way it looks to the eye.
I'm gonna use this as an opportunity to compare this staggard batch to the one I'm purposely letting go a bit longer (in terms of trichomes, whenever that may be). I'm planning to buy a loupe I can attach to my phone in order to get pictures of those. Stay tuned!
@ChoochGrowsWeed, yeah I noticed the weeks adding on! That's good to hear! I don't think I'll be topping mine prob just lst unless I decide to let them go natural. I don't think they will get tall enough for a scrog net.
@Wackytabacky_420,
I'll be updating this sporadically throughout the day so pics are coming soon! I have some really good ones (as well as my phone cam could take) from over the past couple of weeks. And I'd wager that 4 or 5 should fit nicely in a 4x4.
See I asked about topping this strain too because it actually says to defoliate and top on 420fastbuds website and someone said don't top an auto? So why would the breeder suggest it then?
@Wackytabacky_420,
In fact, I have a gorilla cookies seedling from fastbuds right next to my BD and I'm probably gonna defoliate that one if it gets real bushy. Haven't decided if I'm gonna top though I guess that'll be determined by how well she comes along.
@Wackytabacky_420,
I did zero defoliating only because of the stress I was already putting her through. Topping autos can be done, it just comes down to proper timing since the veg window is so small.
