Vincent_Van_Grogh Headed to Portugal for a week. Looks like this new job is a lot of traveling, I’m gonna need to find an efficient way to auto feed her. Thankfully a friend can do this for now. Any suggestions on auto feeding systems? This girl took 14 days to germinate. Which is the longest it’s ever taken in my young grow career (4th grow). Might be because I went straight to substrate this time. Did paper towel before. I like straight to soil… but two week wait is a bit much. :( Anyway, week 1 is over. She’s bigger than my last girls on week 1. But who knows, seedlings are seedlings… just because they’re big doesn’t mean they will stretch well later on. Seems like there will be no over-humidity issues here, ambient RH is around 38 - 45 in ZRH. Adding hot towels right now to keep it above 50 but I reckon it will balance all out once she bursts and I will no longer need towels to ramp RH up. Low ambient RH means less worry during peak flower — to my advantage. Grow with joy — both you and your plants! 🌱😎

Vincent_Van_Grogh CalMag deficiency beginning of Week 2. Caught it early, so the spots didn’t spread. Lesson learned: >24 hrs LED light, > CalMag. Also, used light soil… should’ve compensated. This is my first 24hr light schedule ever too. Topped at end of Week 2. Day 14 to be exact. Tent is small and short. She’s growing fast. I’ve topped Mephisto before with good results. Depending on her reaction to the chop… I will probably LST her on end of week three. I expect her to stretch and go 2.5x in size. Weeks 3-4 are always vital for autos. It’s the only real veg time they have. Fingers crossed I don’t fuck them up. Grow with joy — you and your plants! 🌱 😎

Vincent_Van_Grogh Week 3 ends. All pics are day 21. It has been a lazy week of growing tbh. 24 light means a little more nutes it seems. She’s hungrier than any auto girl I’ve grown. Might be genetics. Might be light schedule. Lower leaves are showing signs of def. Haven’t looked into it much. I’m lazy. But will investigate soon before next feed. Hope it’s not ph issue since my pen sucks. She’s showing her sex which is a good sign. A bit early at day 21 but autos gonna be autos. All good. Pre flower is not the same as flower. Vincent_Van_Grogh All photos are D28. I couldn’t figure out the def last week. Needed to let it flow a few more days. Let the leaves show me what’s really going on. It turns out the early flowering needed more K. Hopefully she perks and prays up soon.And the leaves stop the coloring and crackling. Changing light schedule from 24/0 to 20/4 really helped as well. It may actually be the biggest factor in her healing. Other than that just a firm and heavy LST. I have a very short tent for the coming stretch. Trying to keep the height manageable. I’m thinking of adding 2 plants in 1L pots. That’s to get the RH up. It is ~30% ambient. Just small ones on the corners of the tent. Also helps maximize the light/canopy. Vincent_Van_Grogh All pics are D33. Joining the Thursday diary update crew. Apparently GD hangs a lot over the weekend once Friday comes along. Heavy defoliation this week. Maybe even too much. But I did want to see how much it affects yield if I maximize defo and lollipop bottom cuts on an auto. Conventional auto knowledge states it will negatively affect the plant. But to be honest, she hasn’t skipped a beat, in terms of growth. Mephisto genetics seem to be okay with these so far. We shall see soon enough. I feel like I’m chasing a K def this whole time. Could be very serious because of lock out or could just be because she’s extra hungry in flower stretch phase.. we will see soon enough. Have a joyous grow — you and your plants! 🌱 😎

Vincent_Van_Grogh I can tell she isn’t going to be as fat as my last grows. And that’s alright. Mistakes all over from light overwatering because I started 24/0 to chasing that K deficiency since she flowered real early. All good though… as long as she yields a bag and a half or more, I’m happy.She’s starting to smell so I am going to install the carbon filter soon. Lots of lesson learned… best of all these learnings — no such thing as a perfect grow. Just try your hardest and most importantly: ENJOY THE GROWTH — both you and your plants! 🌱 😎

Vincent_Van_Grogh Accidentally split the main stem — automatic HST on the diary. They didn’t skip a beat. The affected colas definitely aren’t as fat as the others but they caught up just fine after a few days. I really can’t wait for this plant to be ready. I need my meds. GD friends advised that I just take the sugar leaves and dry them for pre harvest meds. Excellent idea. Should have some effect for my aches and troubles. Hope your plants are growing well. Vincent_Van_Grogh She’s fattening up. I’m gonna give her 2-3 more weeks. I can probably give it longer. But I need my meds sooner than later. Vincent_Van_Grogh Taking bits and pieces to smoke wet but planning to harvest within the next 10 days. She’s smelling alright. I expected more stink but that works out so that my neighbors don’t smell any. Excited for her to dry properly. Will be a quick dry because I really need my meds soon. Happy growing everyone! 🌱 😎

Vincent_Van_Grogh Made a lot of mistakes due to new environment. New continent, new conditions and it took me a few weeks to adjust — early flowering happened due to this. Trim jail for one plant really isn’t that bad and I took my time. Created my own mini-drying-box since I don’t have any space and don’t want to buy a new tent. Quickest dry is my goal because I need my meds. But will slow dry the bigger bugs if I don’t finish smoking them early.
