Germinated both seeds for 2 days (2 days apart), within paper towels and then planted both about 10mm deep into a Jiffy Pot. One Jiffy pot had a premixed organic Soil mix, and the other was 70% coco & 30% perlite. First time grower so pretty excited about this grow! Regular gardener however my first time growing in coco so wanted to grow one in soil as well to be safe and test out which one I prefer. Have just been watering with normal filtered water until both sprouted! GG1 sprouted 2 days after planting in soil. GG2 sprouted 4 days after planting in coco.

First weeks been an exciting one! Planted both jiffy pots into a 19L airpot. GG auto 1, in soil, seems to be growing quicker than GG auto 2, in coco. Although GG auto 1 did sprout 4 days before GG auto 2 so has a bit of a head start. Have been watering with 6.5PH for soil and 6PH for coco. Have dimmed my LED lights to be hitting about 250 PPFD to not overwhelm the plants

Second week! Progress is definitely picking up as the days pass. Continuing feeding 3ml for soil (GG 1) and 5ml for coco (GG 2). Have been trying to keep the PH’s at 6.5 for soil and 6.0 for coco still and will keep it going going forward. GG 2 (coco) looks a lot weaker than GG 1 (soil). Wonder if it’s because i’m not feeding the right amount? Leaves don’t look as green on GG 2. Let’s see how the next week goes!

Start of week 3! Lots of growth to come. GG Auto 2 (coco) seems to be picking up but still noticeably weaker than GG Auto 1. Hopefully it catches up this week! Getting quite hot during the day so might have to start running the AC nearby. Since it’s my first grow and I’ve got lots of headroom, I only did a small amount of LST. Fingers crossed they're ready for harvest before Christmas!

Are my plants at the stage where I should be either topping or trying out some LST? First time grower here, so not sure if I should be doing any training, just to see how it goes. Any help would be super appreciated!

I usually lst about day 20. I have a diary called Larry lemon og auto. I did a daily picture from seed to smoke after lst. Was a qp auto. I don't recommend topping due to it is too much stress for a auto to recover from. They are on a limited time schedule and wanna avoid slowing them down as much as possible. Good luck and happy growing 🌱

Have I done LST correctly here? - first time grower. Not sure if I should be doing anymore or wait till it grows into it. Also the leaves feel too low down and some of them are touching the soil.

Hello in my opinion you did it great..don't worry branches will follow the light and get up. You can cut the leaves touching the soil. Keep doing it great. Good job and good luck

Start of week 4 went well, both plants were responding well to LST. Huge problem after I noticed I had spider mites. I went nuclear with dimatious dirt and bug spray. Sprayed the whole tent and the plants multiple times that week. Made sure to flush the soil as well. Plants seem to be holding up to the treatment and looks like the bugs are gone.

Looks like all the spider mites have gone. Will spray one more time this week and apply diatomaceous dirt after waterings this week. GG auto 1 is second week in flower however GG auto 2 is still in veg. GG auto 2 is getting much bigger. Made sure to adjust PH water to 5.2-5.7 for coco and it’s responding really well.

GG auto 2 (grown in coco) has really come back strong and started to flower. No longer applying diatomaceous dirt after watering. Hopefully seen the last of those spider mites. GG auto 1 (grown in soil) flowers are looking real good. Love the smell every time I open the grow tent. Looks like GG auto 2 might end up being even bigger than GG 1, coming back very strong after being the runt of the two. Did some trimming this week of the lower branches for both plants and put in a dehumidifier to keep humidity between 40-50%. Temps are running higher during the day since I put the dehumidifier in, but plants are coping well. Love watching the flower grow! Ridiculously fun new hobby. ✌️🏽

What do these yellow tips on the leaves mean? Are my lights to close? Looks like light burn to me and have adjusted the lights up 10cm for now. Still wanted to make sure since I thought they need more lights during flower. Thanks heaps

Let me start by saying that i have personal experience with this over my first several grows. The burning tips sometimes called "greenhouse tips" (or so ive been told) are the first indication of nutrient burn (overfeeding) or a pH problem. It starts at the tips of the leaves and works it's way up the leaf. 2 questions. Do you test the ppm of your runoff? And do you test the pH? Of you do then you are already in a great position to stop this. Depending on your grow medium, soil or hydro, you will need to make sure you pH is at a certain level. 6.2-6.8 in soil. (I'm a soil grower) I believe it is lower for hydro but I'm not certain. And your ppm you want around 1000ppm in flower. The burnt tips will never go away but you can stop the spread. They are the first sign like I said. I've seen them in every grow I've done except the last 2 because I started to test pH and ppm. Found out I was way overfeeding my plants. Doing great now though

Pretty chill week. GG Auto 2 (grown in coco) is towering over GG Auto 1 (grown in soil). I think I know why GG Auto 1 didn't grow as big as GG Auto 2, I could have easily fit in 3 litres more of soil in the pot. Lesson learnt for next grow.

GG Auto 2 is taking over the tent! Adjusted the lights as they were getting close to the plant. Not too many photos this week. I'm going away for 7 days this week so decided to early harvest GG Auto 1 incase they wouldn't survive a week without watering. Even though I knew this was way too early to harvest, I still went for it. This was probably a lesson I needed to learn for myself! Ended up getting around 45g of average skunk. Before going away, I watered GG Auto 2 well, and filled up the water tray.

Just got back from a week away, she looks amazing. Loving the amber pistons! Going to start providing less nutrients and flush her next week since I think she's showing signs of nutrient burn.

Started to flush GG Auto 2 (Grown in 70% Coco & 30% perlite). Since she's getting heavy and falling over I bought a cheap net (the wrong size ofcourse lol), but it does the job. Just waiting for those amber trichomes now! Hoping to harvest her on day 90. It's very humid here where I am, so have had the dehumidifier going non stop which is making it much hotter in the tent. Trying my best to keep temperatures below 30c during the day. First grow so any feedback would be really appreciated!

Is this light burn? I’m about 7-10 days from harvest. Wondering if I need to increase the height of my lights?

Great work on this grow! I would not 100% say its light burn, It could be a bit of fading at the end of the plants life. It resembles the beginning of a lot of things like nitrogen, potassium and ca+mg issues. The lower leaves in your diary do look a bit hungry but the upper structure is looking on track for a 7-10 day harvest. In all honesty just leave it at this point don't worry to much about anything this close to harvest. It cant die that fast if you keep up your regular maintenance like you have been doing and simple watering. Your RH is perfect for a plant in later flower. I do agree with @CrowMaster the other poster that the temps are a bit high, if you can lower then perfect if not, work with what you got. I think a lot of plants would not like them that high but you seem to have a good one here that's dong well in them. try googling VPD cannabis chart, It gives you a "sweet spot" area of where to be in terms of temps and RH in your growing progression, much like a battle ship grid. Hope this helps Happy Growing!

Such an easy grow despise all the issues I had. Great strain for a first grower. Smells a bit like pine, but smokes great. Ended up getting 165g of quality dry bud from my second plant and 45 from my first early harvested one. Best smoke I've had so far! Super smooth.

I got 166g dry herb out of my second plant (GG Auto 2), and 45g from my first early harvested plant (GG Auto 1). All in all a great first grow - I learnt heaps. Thanks alot to the community for helping me out with my first grow! I left them in jars to cure, but have still been smoking a few. Quality stuff!

Hey man! Just noticed your grow, very nice. Just in case you're looking to make improvements, the recommended soil pH should be between 6.0 and 7.0 and I just noticed you're at 5.5. If it works for you, it works for you(don't listen to me without doing the research tho!) just looking out! Good luck and later dude! <3

@nerdz, Thanks Man! This one (GG Auto 2) is actually grown in 70% Coco & 30% perlite, so I've been watering her between 5.3 - 5.8pH. I had another one (GG Auto 1 - grown in soil) which I harvested early. Since then GG Auto 2's taken over most of the tent anyway. Cheers for the comment and love bro! <3
