Big beautiful seeds! Really excited to run this strain as Bruce Banner is one of my favorites. Just got this seed soaking today and after she pops I will move her into her final home. Planning on a 3 gallon pot with Sohum living soil and rain water for the entire grow.
While seed is soaking I have prepared a 3 gallon fabric pot with a 50/50 mixture of fresh Sohum living soil combined with used Sohum living soil from a previous grow. The mixture is extremely dry at first so im going to slowly adjust the moisture content before placing the seedling in. I'll do this by slowly adding small amounts of water over a several hour period. I don't want to add water too fast or I could flush vital nutrients and stuff needed later. I always leave a few extra inches at the top of the pot incase I need to ammend in more fresh soil later. I also keep some Big Foot Mychorrhizae concentrate and Cal-Mag plus on hand if needed but we plan to keep this first run rain water only!
After the 36-38 hour mark I remove the seed from water and place it gently into the soil of the 3 gallon fabric pot I have previously prepared. I also make sure to label the pot to avoid any confusion later on. Always label everything!! Then I gently water the seedling and cover with a makeshift humidty dome and wait.
Off to rough start but still growing fairly. Winter presents a few challenges with wild temperature and humidity swings. The humidity levels under the dome seem to of stayed too high the past few days causing minor issues. The Sohum soil can also be slightly hot for some seedlings but we will make a few adjustments and get this gal back on track!
We choose Sohum Living Soil and rain water for autoflowers. It is by far the easiest grow setup I have done. Its far from perfect as I usually run into a few minor issues throughout some grows but it's basically self growing. Only have to water little bits daily or every other day. No mixing anything! No PH or PPM adjustments just water and watch her grow. The results so far have been extremely impressive and I have high hopes it will work wonders on this gal.
Week 2 of Veg. is going fairly well! Got the temperature swings under control but still battling humidity issues. Currently looking into replacing my in tent humidifier with a larger one for my entire room. But might have to just ride this one out. As long as we can keep humidity above 30% we can still produce some beautiful plants. Stick around and see how she turns out!
Starting week 3 of Veg. on this Bruce Banner Auto from FastBuds! She is looking pretty fair so far. Nice lush green color and fatty little leaves. Humidty is still lower than I would like right now but she is still growing strong! More updates to come daily!
I usually start LST on the main branch around this time but will let this one go a few more days before we start training. I like to keep the training minimal on Auto flowers. I'm not a big fan of topping them either but some strains definitely seem to respond well. In a few days we will tie back the main branch to allow more light to the lower branches and also even out the growth. The main goal is to create a somewhat even canopy with the least amount of effort or stress possible.
Around Day 23-24 after planting the popped seed we notice the first female hairs sprouting! Time to get to some LST in the next day or so before she really starts stretching. It's about to get exciting!
Day 27 we start training! I will use only 1 tie strategically placed on the main branch bending it back allowing more light to the rest of the plant. This 1 tie is loosly placed to ensure no harm to the plant. It will need readjusting every few days and moved further up the branch as she grows. I will keep bending back the main branch untill the lowers are almost even with the main cola then secure the tie and leave it alone till harvest. I find this 1 tie method to be extremely effective and very low stress. Check back daily to see the progress!
Heading into week 4 of veg. on this beautiful Bruce Banner Auto from FastBuds!
She is looking a little thirsty today so we will take care of that immediately. We have battling with dialing in her water amounts this week. I thought she was under watered at first and gave her a healthy watering but she hasn't perked up much as I may have over done it a bit. We will dry out nicely now and maybe increase air flow around her pot and see what happens. Other than that so far so good! She has been handling the LST nicely and we just started tucking leaves this week to open her up even more. In a day or 3 we will have to readjust the tie on her main branch and maybe move it up another node as she continues to strectch. Things will be getting interesting really soon! Stick around for more updates!
Day 30 we notice the lower branches are really start to stretch! They have almost caught up to the main. We also notice that stem rubs provide an extremely sharp and gassy aroma already!
Day 33 we adjust the tie on her main branch and carefully move it up another node. This one was slightly difficult as she is really bushy right now!
Starting week 5 of Veg! Still looking pretty droopy right now but still growing strong. Her pot is still heavy even though it appears dry on top. She should perk up after a day or 2 when she dries out more. Im fairly confident its just a simple case of over watering. More details soon!
Day 37 she dried out pretty fair but didn't really perk up much so we gave her a small watering today. We will continue to monitor the situation and make further adjustments if she doesn't improve this week. However she is still showing good daily growth so we won't worry yet!
Day 38 she is finally starting show signs of perking back up! Lets hope she gets back to being happy soon!
Day 39 she is looking much better! Still could be a little happier but she has definitely perked up quite a bit!
Day 41 she is looking fair still and really starting to flower now! She also has a very intense gassy skunky aroma. It over powers the entire tent right now and she is just getting started!
Starting week 1 of flower on this Bruce Banner Auto from FastBuds! She has been a pleasure to grow so far! Had some minor issues dialing in her water amounts last week but she is starting to look better. Im sure last week put a hurting on growth rate but she will still produce nicely. More updates soon!
Day 45 she is starting to perk up more and finally stretching out some! Still monitoring her situation closely though as she does have some slight yellowing around the edges but it may of just been watering issues. She is also incredibly compact and bushy right now. In about a week or so after stretching I'm gonna have to defoliate and open her up some most likely.
Day 47 she is looking better yet! She is really showing signs of perking up fully and bouncing back! She definitely took a beating with these water issues but I think I got her figured out now. We increased airflow around her pot even more so she can dry out better. I suspect the bottom of her pot was staying too wet for daily watering causing issues. Now she seems to be drying out quicker and looking much happier.
Day 48 we removed some dead and dying leaves that she had on her lowers. Looking nice and perky today and starting to stretch out a lot more.
Starting week 2 of flower on this super stinky and bushy Bruce Banner Auto from FastBuds! She has been doing a lot better the past few days but still showing some slight yellowing and burnt tips. We are gonna have to keep a close eye on her and make sure these problems don't progress. Other than that she looks perky and happy today so no adjustments yet. More updates soon!
Day 55 she is still chugging along nicely! She has been pretty perky this week and been stretching out a lot better! Its about time to defoliate a little as well. We will probably clean her up in next couple of days and remove some lower bud sites in the process. She still has some slight yellowing but it appears to mostly halted and not affecting any new growth so we let her ride it out on rain water only!
Starting week 3 of flower! She is extremely bushy and squat! We did some minor defoliation today to open her up some. Her flowers are extraordinarily pungent and starting to produce a lot of trichomes. Looking like she will produce a very nice quality flower despite her rough grow! More updates soon!
Day 61 we removed a few more dead and damaged leaves.
Day 63 she is looking very thirsty! We will water her good and probably up her daily water dosage just slighlty.
Starting week 4 of flower! This Bruce Banner has had a slightly rough grow but still producing some super frosty and stinky flowers! We definitely under estimated her needs when preparing the soil. Next run she will get 100% fresh soil and ammendments along the way if needed. This one we will let finish with rain water only. Stay tuned for more updates!
Day 66 she is really packing on the trichomes now and the smell is intense!! She has a very pungent chem aroma with sharp diesel hints and some fruity kush notes on the back end. I can't wait to extract this one!
Day 69 we cleaned up some lower leaves and bud sites as well as a few damaged upper leaves.
Starting week 5 of flower on this beauty! She is really packing on some nice trichomes and starting to produce some compact flowers. The smell is very powerful! Has a pungent chem smell with some beautiful fruity and sharp berry hints now. More updates soon!
Starting week 6 of flower on this beautiful Bruce Banner Auto from FastBuds. She has been a pleasure to grow so far! She is very compact and frosty and starting to swell up. Her aroma is getting more and more complex as well! Still a very pungent chem but the sweet berry smell is starting to grow stronger. More details soon!
Day 81 we removed a few damaged leaves. She is still going strong and finishing up beautifully!
Starting week 7 of flower! This might be her last week! She is swelling up some and really packing on the trichomes. Her aroma grows more and more pungent with that deep chem and diesel smell. There are also some amazing fruity notes in the background like sweet berries. More updates soon!
Going into the 8th week of flowering! This will be her last week and plan on chopping this Sunday or Monday! A portion of the harvest will be immediately frozen and processed into live resin. The rest will be dried and cured.
We have been slowly lowering the temperature inside the tent and also on the rain water slightly. Thursday will probably be her last watering and when she is good and dry on Sunday or Monday we will chop.
Her smell is very intense right now! Extremely pungent Diesel and Chem dominate her profile but there is a beautiful sweet berry smell in her background. She should make some very tasty extracts!
More updates soon!
Day 98 she is looking amazing! Still not fully dried out yet so we will give her another couple days before chopping.
Last couple days before chopping! Just waiting for her to dry out some more then she is coming down.
Day 101 she is about dried out now and we will probably take her down tomorrow! We will post extraction results in a few days followed by a full harvest report soon after.
More updates soon!
@SwissKush, that's a good one! I'll keep that in mind for future use. I was going over some numbers on the sohum soil and I should have plenty of available calcium even with half the soil being from a previous grow. I think I just put a hurting on her with too much water sadly. She's is bouncing back good now though! Living Soil seems to be extra touchy to over watering or under watering I've found but I love the results and the simplicity!
@PsiloNoid, a few eggshells blended up very finely will typically take care of any calcium issues in living soil. I appreciate the all organic efforts. 😍
@SwissKush, Noted! That's was actually my next step if she doesn't really start to perk up and look happy soon 😅 I try to keep them rain water only but I'm pretty excited about this one so I might just work a little extra into her schedule!
@Bubble_Budz, Thank you! We have had a bit of a rough grow with here and she definitely ended up a little stunted. However she is producing some really nice flowers! Going to be very pungent and frosty!
@@Tommybarebacker, Thanks bud! We had a few issues along the way but she really powered through! Definitely ended up a little stunted but still producing some dense bud sites and getting really frosty really quick!
