Starting week 3 of Veg. on this Forbidden Runtz Auto from FastBuds! She is growing pretty well so far despite having a slightly rough start and lower than recommended humidty levels. She is a little on the pale side I've noticed so were gonna have to keep an eye and see if that improves or if not i can ammend in some more fresh soil or add some Mychorrhizae concentrate to give her a boost. But for now we will let her go and see what happens. Stick around for daily updates!
I usually start LST on the main branch around this time but will let this one go a few more days before we start training. I like to keep the training minimal on Auto flowers. I'm not a big fan of topping them either but some strains definitely seem to respond well. In a few days we will tie back the main branch to allow more light to the lower branches and also even out the growth. The main goal is to create a somewhat even canopy with the least amount of effort or stress possible.
Around Day 25 we notice the first female hairs start to appear right on schedule! Im still going to give her another couple days and then I will start training.
Day 27 we start training! I will use only 1 tie strategically placed on the main branch bending it back allowing more light to the rest of the plant. This 1 tie is loosly placed to ensure no harm to the plant. It will need readjusting every few days and moved further up the branch as she grows. I will keep bending back the main branch untill the lowers are almost even with the main cola then secure the tie and leave it alone till harvest. I find this 1 tie method to be extremely effective and very low stress. Check back daily to see the progress!
Looks great, Nice and healthyπ
I will follow along to see the difference, as I usually top every auto
and pin or tie the branches down. I've been consistently harvesting
3-4 ounces per plant(auto) like this, you just don't get the big main cola,
but you get way more buds and sometimes you still get really big ones.
Have a great day!!!
@northernMike, This is something I have been back and forth on for a while! I've produced and seen amazing results both ways but for some reason maybe even just simplicity I decided to stick with minor LST for autos. Photos are different story though!
