Another beautiful seed from FastBuds! This one will be really interesting to run. Just starting soaking today and after she pops I will move her into her final home. Planning on a 3 gallon pot with Sohum living soil and only rainwater the entire cycle. Can't wait to see what this one produces!
While seed is soaking I have prepared a 3 gallon fabric pot with a 50/50 mixture of fresh Sohum living soil combined with used Sohum living soil from a previous grow. The mixture is extremely dry at first so im going to slowly adjust the moisture content before placing the seedling in. I'll do this by slowly adding small amounts of water over a several hour period. I don't want to add water too fast or I could flush vital nutrients and stuff needed later. I always leave a few extra inches at the top of the pot incase I need to ammend in more fresh soil later. I also keep some Big Foot Mychorrhizae concentrate and Cal-Mag plus on hand if needed but plan to keep this run rain water only and see how she produces!
After the 36-38 hour mark I remove the seed from water and place it gently into the soil of the 3 gallon fabric pot I have previously prepared. I also make sure to label the pot to avoid any confusion later on. Always label everything!! Then I gently water the seedling and cover with a makeshift humidty dome and wait.
Off to rough start but still growing fairly. Winter presents a few challenges with wild temperature and humidity swings. The humidity levels under the dome seem to of stayed too high the past few days causing minor issues. I should of removed it a few days ago. The Sohum soil can also be slightly hot for some seedlings but we will make a few adjustments and get this gal back on track!
We choose Sohum Living Soil and rain water for autoflowers. It is by far the easiest grow setup I have done. Its far from perfect as I usually run into a few minor issues throughout some grows but it's basically self growing. Only have to water little bits daily or every other day. No mixing anything! No PH or PPM adjustments just water and watch her grow. The results so far have been extremely impressive and I have high hopes it will work wonders on this gal.
Week 2 of Veg. is going fairly well! Got the temperature swings under control but still battling humidity issues. Currently looking into replacing my in tent humidifier with a larger one for my entire room. But might have to just ride this one out. As long as we can keep humidity above 30% we can still produce some beautiful plants. Stick around and see how she turns out!
Starting week 3 of Veg. on this Forbidden Runtz Auto from FastBuds! She is growing pretty well so far despite having a slightly rough start and lower than recommended humidty levels. She is a little on the pale side I've noticed so were gonna have to keep an eye and see if that improves or if not i can ammend in some more fresh soil or add some Mychorrhizae concentrate to give her a boost. But for now we will let her go and see what happens. Stick around for daily updates!
I usually start LST on the main branch around this time but will let this one go a few more days before we start training. I like to keep the training minimal on Auto flowers. I'm not a big fan of topping them either but some strains definitely seem to respond well. In a few days we will tie back the main branch to allow more light to the lower branches and also even out the growth. The main goal is to create a somewhat even canopy with the least amount of effort or stress possible.
Around Day 25 we notice the first female hairs start to appear right on schedule! Im still going to give her another couple days and then I will start training.
Day 27 we start training! I will use only 1 tie strategically placed on the main branch bending it back allowing more light to the rest of the plant. This 1 tie is loosly placed to ensure no harm to the plant. It will need readjusting every few days and moved further up the branch as she grows. I will keep bending back the main branch untill the lowers are almost even with the main cola then secure the tie and leave it alone till harvest. I find this 1 tie method to be extremely effective and very low stress. Check back daily to see the progress!
Heading into week 4 of Veg. for this lovely Forbidden Runtz Auto from FastBuds! So far so good! She has been handling the LST nicely and we just started tucking leaves today to open her up even more but she is branching out beautifully. In a day or 3 we will have to readjust the tie on her main branch and maybe move it up another node as she continues to strectch. Things will be getting interesting really soon! Stick around for more updates!
Day 30 we notice the lower branches really taking off and stretching beautifully! They are practically the same hieght as the main now. Things are looking promising so far!
Day 33 we adjust the tie on her main branch and carefully move it up another node.
Starting week 5 of veg! She is still going strong! Branching out and stretching nicely. Should be going into to full flower really soon! More updates to come.
Day 39 she is still going strong! She has been a pleasure to grow so far. She is really starting to gear up for flowering now. We also notice she is producing a beautiful fruity and skunky aroma especially on a stem rub its quite intense and pleasant!
Day 41 she is really stretching out now and starting to flower more. Things are starting to get exciting!
Starting week 1 of flower on this Forbidden Runtz Auto from FastBuds! She has been a pleasure to grow so far! She hasn't shown many signs of issues at all. She is definitely a little thirsty right now so we will take care of that immediately. More updates soon!
Day 48 we removed some dead and dying leaves from her lowers. Still growing awesome though! Haven't had to adjust the tie on her main branch or anything. She has been basically maintenance free! She even spread herself out beautifully!
Starting week 2 of flower on this lovely Forbidden Runtz Auto from FastBuds! Still going strong! Stretching out more and more daily and slowly starting to stack flower sites. She has some yellowing and yucky looking lower leaves but that seems common with my soil setup and nothing to worry about yet. Usually just a minor watering issue as each plant requires different amounts daily and it can be hard to get them exact. More updates soon!
Day 54 she is looking and feeling a little over watered so we will dial her watering back over the next few days. She also has some minor insect damage but we have lots of spiders and other predators in the tent that should keep them at bay. We will defoliate any damaged leaves and will not spray anything on them. She needs cleaned up good anyways! We will also remove some lower bud sites in the process.
Day 55 we removed some damaged leaves and some that where blocking lower bud sites. Didn't remove any lower unwanted bud sites yet but they will be next!
Starting week 3 of flower! Still going strong and stacking fair! Starting to produce some nice trichomes and a very alluring fruity and skunky aroma! One branch is showing some odd yellowing but it appears isolated to that branch and not spreading. We will have to keep an eye on this and hopefully she grows through it without issue. More updates soon!
Day 63 she has been slammimg through this week great! She does look a little thirsty so we will probably up her daily water dosage again. Still have 1 branch displaying some odd yellowing but it hasnt spread. Almost looks like a plant disease but its not effecting the big branches so we wont worry about it yet.
Starting week 4 of flower! This Forbidden Runtz Auto has had a slightly rough grow but still producing some super frosty and stinky flowers! We definitely under estimated her needs when preparing the soil and you can she is definitely not the happiest. Next run she will get 100% fresh soil and ammendments along the way. We will let her ride out this grow on rain water only and make adjustments for round 2. Stay tuned for more updates!
Day 70 and she is still going strong! She is starting to pack it on now. The smell is very intoxicating! Its a strong fruity kind of berry like aroma with a very pungent skunky back. Extracts should be amazing!
Starting week 5 of flower on this beauty! She is really packing on some nice trichomes and starting to produce some fat flowers. This is gonna be an interesting week! More updates soon!
Starting week 6 of flower on this beautiful Forbidden Runtz Auto from FastBuds. She is really starting to look beautiful and has been a very easy grow so far! She is slowly starting to fatten up now and really starting to display some amazing fruity aromas! More updates soon...
Day 78 we removed some more damaged leaves and a few that were blocking lower sites as well.
Day 81 we removed a few more leaves. She is definitely yellowing faster than I would like at this stage but we are gonna ride it out!
Starting week 7 of flower! She is starting to ripen and swell up slowly. Her aroma keeps growing stronger and more pungent with a sharp sweet fruity smell upfront and an amazing sour kushy background. We are coming into the final week or two for this gal! More updates soon.
Going into week 8 of flower! This will probably be her last week. We will look her over good this weekend and possibly chop her down! A portion of the harvest will be immediately frozen and processed into live resin. The rest we will dry and cure! More updates soon.
We have slowly lowering the temperature inside the tent and also the temperature of the rain water she receives. She is starting to show some beautiful colors and finishing up nicely! Thursday or Friday will probably be her last watering and after she dries up around Monday we will probably chop her down!
Her aroma is amazing! Upfront is a strong sweet candied fruit smell with a very pungent sour kushy background. It's seems very complex right now and constantly changing! It will be very exciting to see how the extract taste next week!
More updates soon!
Day 98 she is pretty much completely dried out and coming down in the morning! She has been struggling and unhappy for sometime and probably could of went a little longer but we are gonna call it good! Her trichomes are starting to amber on some bracts and she smells absolutely amazing! We will have extract results in just a day or two so stay tuned for more updates and a harvest report!
