This is my new project attempting to make an autoflowering version of Freakshow By Shapeshifter.
His FS plant is Amazing, and resembles a huge fern.
I have a friend who grew the freakshow, and crossed a male with one of my autoflower strains, and he sent me some seeds.
I didn't store them properly, and when I got to them they were beginning to mold! Hence the LOW germination rate. I'm lucky to get any to survive.
I first put them in a cup of water with a few drops of bleach in it to kill the mold spores.
Then after about 1 minute of that, I spread them on a small screen over a fan for a week to dry, then put them in an air tite jar with equal weight of dessicant for another week or two, until I was ready to plant.
I floated 10 seeds at a time in water for 18 hrs, then put in a damp paper towel, and inside a folded over sandwich bag, in a dark drawer until I got tails, in roughly 3-4 days.
I planted in 16 ounce solo cups. I got 12 plants out of 40 seeds.
They are pulling through!
Only watering, no food yet. This is an old, re used, soilless mix, so there is residual food left over in it.
Some plants are behind a few days, as I wasn't sure of the germination rate, and didn't start enough seeds the first time.
We have 12 healthy seedlings.
I will run the light schedule at 18+ hrs a day until they are 3 wks old, so they stay short, and stocky.
Going to feed Jacks 321 for the first time today. Strength is 1100 PPM, watered to run off.
Small natured plants, all looking like normal, sativa leaning plants, and will all be photoperiods.
Will switch the lights to 12/12 on week 3.

I noticed the light was only 17 inches from the canopy, and lowered the plants to 18". I'll probably lower them another inch, but I don't want them to stretch much. They are not bleaching.
I left the light on 100%, and followed MarsHydro recommendations. I get less stretch than when following Viparsectra's instructions.
I'm watering straight Jacks 321 now, Drain to waste. It works really well for growing in solo cups.
I like to do seed runs like this in solo cups to save space.
I can grow 24 photoperiods in solo cups, in this fridge, without light leaks.
I'm only using a fridge instead of a tent because I've been using it before tents were cheap, and popular.
I would definately use a tent these days. I also have a 2x2 tent with a marsHydro TS600 for small plants.
I'm turning the lights back down to 12/12 today.
So the light schedule for this run will be 12/12 the first week, so as not to stress the sprouts.
18+ hrs. the second week, so they don't stretch too much.
And 12/12 the third week, and thereafter, because just like autos, they should become true adults any day.

They're 4 weeks old today.
I switched the light to 12/12, 7 days ago on week 3.
I only have 1 male showing, at the moment.
They are staying short, and growing very well in the solo cups.
They have a pretty strong smell already. Sativa.

The plants are growing vigorously, and were really branching out despite being in 16 oz solo cups. They have doubled in height since last week.
Yesterday, I defoliated, and pruned all the lower branches and leaves.
It will be much easier to feed now.
I use a 1 liter pop bottle to water with, and manage to water 6 plants with run off, before I have to refill.
I water with Jacks 321, once a day, with some run off, @ around 1100 PPMs.
I mix it in 2 gallon jugs in concentrated form of 1:100.
The recipe is:
In 1 jug is 378.54 grams of Jack's Part A + 98.94 grams of Epsom Salts mixed together in 1 gallon jug of warm water.
In the other jug is 252.36 grams of Jack's Part B dissolved in 1 gallon jug of warm water.
I add 38ml each of the 2 concentrates to 1 gallon of water, or 190ml each to 5 gallons of water. Always add part A first, mix, then add part B while still mixing. Never mix part A and Part B together.
Then check the PH.
I water to run off with each watering (Feeding).
If the plants get too green, I skip a feeding, or two, and use straight water.

Plants are flowering right along. Some are pretty frosty already.
The male has shot up tall, and towers above all the females, and is releasing tons of pollen the last couple of days.
I've been shaking it above all the flowers.
I should get at least a million Freakshow X Auto F2 seeds ;)

They're looking good, and getting frostier than I expected.
There is 3 tall, stretchy plants that aren't that frosty, so I'm cutting them down today.
These are the F1's full of F2 seeds.
It's the F2 generation that I hope to find some autoflowering Freakshow plants.

We're on cruise now. Waiting for the seeds to ripen.
The frost and smell is more than i Hoped for, so that's awesome.
I've never actually grown Freakshow.
My friend grows it, and they are perfect looking plants from the pictures he sends me.
The autoflower seeds that I sent him were a very strong, mid to high 20's THC, and these are the babies from that cross.

They are getting very frosty! I don't know how frosty the Freakshow was, but IK the autoflower it was crossed with was very potent. So I don't know if they are frostier than normal or not.
The terps are outrageous too. Strong and spicy.
I try not to say this every time, but I'm DYING to see the F2's, and PRAYING I get a good pair of autoflowering plants with Freakshow leaves. At least some Freakshow leaves. They don't have to be perfect, just so I have some autoflowering, and then I can back cross to the Original Freakshows to get better leaves, If I have to.

They look good, and the seeds are getting ripe.
They will be harvested next week, on Mon, or Tues.
They smell really strong, like menthol, or Vicks Vapor rub.
I can't wait to get the next gen going, and hopefully find some Freaky Autos!
It came out really frosty, and the smell is very strong, and smells like menthol, or eucalyptus. Smells like Vicks Vapor Rub!
Other than the terps, and frost factor, there's nothing too special about these, other than they have the Freakshow, and autoflowering traits hiding in these seeds!

I already have 30 of the new seeds planted.
If I understand things right, I should get 1/16 autofowering Freakshows.
