Most of the pics are from early in the week on the 43rd day of flowering. All plants except the BLTxBW are healthy and happy. I think the BLTxBW doesn't like nutes as much as the other girls and I had a period of low pH and low water level that locked out Ca and Mg intake. I reduced the nute concentration in that pot and she seems to have recovered. Temps are good and humidity is firmly control between 40% and 60%. The plants (all together) are drinking between 1 and 2 gallons per day at this point in the grow. I'm still running GH nutes now in the late bloom part of their DWC feed schedule. Another nute change this week. I'm running the BLTxBW at 2/3 full strength. I've come to the conclusion that DWC has great yield potential but it is a time-consuming pain in the ass to check pH/conductivity, top off and periodically dump and refill 6 reservoirs, each one requiring moving the plant and root ball around. I'm going to use hempy coco buckets for my next grow. So much simpler, and allows you to easily move plants inside and out. I'm done moving my plants in and out of the tent, BTW, too much potential for damaging colas and breaking stems. I've already had to use a couple balsa wood splints and used garden wire to train the flopping colas back toward the center of each plant. All the buds are nice and sticky now, The Vortex remains the most floral smelling with a more greasy resin while the bagseed buds are the frostiest and superglue sticky with a dank chem/fuel smell. The Vortex buds are large but airy and I hope they swell up. The bagseed buds are dense nuggets on their way to golf-ball sized that look, feel and smell great. Hopefully everything gets bigger, better and more dank in the coming weeks to finish!

@OldCoolSativa, I am by no means a pro, but I usually start lst week 3,4, maybe 5, so by flower stretch her branching is already moved and stable in the new way I have it growing. I would say just get in there!! You never know till you do, but it's a lot harder when she starts getting woody. Stresses em more I think. Your gonna love it!!

@HydroKitty, I've already done a little defol but should probably do some more this week. The internode spacing is small enough that I don't think I need much LST yet. But since I've never done LST before, I could be wrong. ๐Ÿ˜Š Thanks for stopping by.

BigDaddyKcommentedweek 48 years ago
Ideal day temp is 25C and the bigger they get the less humidity they like - the difference between the day and night temperatures will affect the distance between the nodes - all look nice and green ๐Ÿ‘

Nice grow Bro. Regarding ur week 5 update, I bought my whole setup from kingbriteled, you shouldn't have any problem with them. If you use 2 different fixture for veg and flo why didn't u choose 4000k and 2700k? Just curious.I stopped at cobs' basics but will research some info about adding 730nm diodes, maybe I'll add some for the next grow. Keep us update man!
OldCoolSativa
OldCoolSativacommented8 years ago
@Nutria, Far red only runs 20 minutes per day. Flower schedule is for COBS only.
Nutria
Nutriacommented8 years ago
@OldCoolSativa, same timing I saw on rollitup.org. By 13.5 you mean both cob+red or 12cob and 1.5red?
OldCoolSativa
OldCoolSativacommented8 years ago
@Nutria, I just looked on Ebay for 730nm and found a USA seller. Specs are 3W 20mm Star LED, 720-730nm, 1.5V - 1.7V, 600 mA - 700 mA, 40 LM, 120 degree viewing angle. I'm going to run them in a single 3-ft strip in the middle of my tent between my two lights. I plan to turn them on 5 minutes before lights out and turn them off 15 minutes after lights out. This should allow me to use more light during the flower cycle. I plan to go 600W 12/12 for the first week of flower or until the girls reveal themselves. Then I'll ramp up to 13.5/10.5 for most of the flowering period, then back it down to 12/12 for the last week or two to finish them off.

Hope you have a strong fan for room circulation because that could be another factor why they look squishy.Waiting anxiously for new updates.PEACE. :)

@@Kkkkkk, thanks for the heads up. I have a couple circulation fans in there and all the plants leaves move around in the breeze a bit so I think ventilation is OK for now.

I have a similar problem. I am on week 6. A bit slow for sure in the beginning. Temps are usually above 26 and up to 32 someone time. But my plants are stubby and wide. But since this is my first grow, I thought maybe it has to do with the strain? Can someone with experience check out my grow? thanks man.
Kkkkkk
Kkkkkkcommentedweek 48 years ago
Your guy is right. The temp is way to low! You need constant 25 grad celsius. And your air humandity was to low, thats why you leafs looking squishy. But at all it looks very good. Wish you much luck and awaiting interessted what you get out. ;) Keep on. ;)

Very cool bro๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป If you cross with a auto, are the results auto seeds? And are most of the seeds viable?

Where did you saving 10 years old seeds? How did you germinate them?
Blablabla
Blablablacommented7 years ago
@OldCoolSativa, you lucky bastard. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Mine are 1 year old and don't want germinate.
OldCoolSativa
OldCoolSativacommented7 years ago
@KonopCh, I found them in bags of weed from a Deadhead friend, reportedly grown in Western Massachusetts. They germinated easily...hardly any duds. I germinated them in Rapid Rooters.

How's the humidity ?
BigDaddyK
BigDaddyKcommented8 years ago
@OldCoolSativa,big grows generate a lot of moisture , filter out into the fresh air if you can, I have a fresh air in as well to keep it flowing ๐Ÿ’จ
OldCoolSativa
OldCoolSativacommented8 years ago
@BigDaddyK, good question. It has been pretty high, like upwards of 80% at the end of the day. Condensation on tent walls, etc. Today I finally set up a blower and charcoal filter and humidity is down around 60%. Running a dehumidifer in the basement to help keep things under control.

hey man nice grow. i tried a bagseed in my grow, it's in my current journal. it was a herm :(glad you got away with it. this is twice i had bag seed herms so be careful using bagseed in with real genetics. i don't think my other girls were effected and i got some wax off the 4-5week old herm so not the end of the world. nice job though keep growin'
