Germination went great!
Gorilla Cookies from Fastbuds was my favorite strain last year.
I hope these are just as good.
I've started these under the Mars Hydro TS600 24" above the seeds.
They're all looking good.
They're 24" away from the Mars Hydro TS600 LED grow light in a 2 x 2 tent with a 4" can fan for air exchange.
One seed was a little slow to emerge because the soil was too dry. I caught the wilted seedling just in time!
I think it might even catch up to the rest. We'll see.
They're looking, and growing good.
They were looking a little pale, so I started feeding them yesterday.
Today I lowered the light to 18 inches from the tops.
It's week 3, and they're growing super fast now.
I just transplanted them today, into 5 gallon fabric pots, watered them into my recycled soilless mix, and moved them under the Mars Hydro TS3000.
I just harvested some 42 inch tall autos called Grand Daddy Monkey"(see my youtube channel- https://youtu.be/zG7RfrxAIsE ), so I'm just leaving the light up high for the next 24 hrs., so the roots don't become stressed at all, then I'll lower it down to 20 inches from the tops.
The lights will be on for 24 hours from now on. From seed until they're 3 weeks old, I keep them on an 18/6 light schedule. I've stressed seedlings out by starting them off with a 24 hr light schedule.
The plants are only 6 inches tall, but probably 9 inches wide with big, fat leaves, stalks, and good branching.
I wont have to water every day, or feed every time either.
I'm using recycled grow media, and even tho I know the last 2 weeks of it's last use was only water, and no fertilizer, I wait until the plants look like they need fed before I start giving them Jacks 321 again.
It will only take a week or so before they are hungry :) Gorilla Cookies are big eaters!
They're growing right along.
I have some that are pollen donors 7 weeks old, that are covered in male flowers.
Soon I'll be pollinating these sisters for the next generation of super frosty plants.
This is the R2's and there's a few phenos to pick from.
I'm getting pollen from the reversed sisters that are 3 weeks older than these.
I picked the wrong phenos to reverse. It was actually the tall, stretchy ones that turn into plants like the original Gorilla Cookies, but this pheno is super frosty, so I guess I'm going ahead with pollination, and I'll have to wait to see what the R3's look like.
It's been a busy week for these.
I was able to give a couple away, that didn't look right for seed making, and I disposed of all but 1 reversed female.
She was the most resistant to turn, and super frosty. She's the shorter pheno though.
She is being treated with Smoking Monkey's STS spray (silver thiosulfate), and Gibberellic Acid (GA3).
I defoliated the bottom 1/3 on these younger seed mothers a few days ago.
They've grown 8 inches this week.
Moving right along. I'm still amazed at how fast they flower.
I got em thinned down to 4 keepers, and some light pollination, making fem seeds for the future.
Sorry I missed a couple weeks.
These are 10 weeks old now, and I'm feeding only water for the last week, until harvest.
They're looking good and frosty, and should have a couple hundred fem seeds for the future.
I'm only keeping seeds from the front 2 plants.
