Critical White

FarmerFred So this one turned out to be a total mutant lol. It grew like 5 leaves as the first set in all directions. I’ve been trying to find similar situations online but haven’t found much luck. Gonna ride it out to see if it also has mutant buds. I’ll kill it if it ends up being a dud.

FarmerFred Seems to be growing like a normal seedling now. The first few leaves were sets of 2 fingered leaves which was odd. Now it’s growing 5 and 7 fingered leaves like the other seedlings. I also transplanted it to a bigger pot.

FarmerFred Just topped this one as well. It’s growing about the same speed as the PG X SD next to it. ACDC will be moved to a new tent soon, just waiting for a light to deliver.

FarmerFred Day 8 of flower, but I’m gonna be pollinating this one to hopefully make my own batch of seeds. It will be crossed with the regular (male) purple gorilla X sour diesel plant I’ve got in the same tent.

FarmerFred This one likes to stay short. I just topped her once and she’s been training herself to have a flat canopy. Day 12 or so of flowering so probably 6-8 weeks to go still.

FarmerFred This one has been super easy to grow. It’s kind of been 3rd in my order of priorities of taking care of these plants but it doesn’t seem to mind. Flowers are just starting to develop so I would guess I’m at least 7-8 weeks away still.

FarmerFred Trichome development is starting on this one. According to Weedseedsexpress this cultivar has a flower time of 49-55 days so I won’t be surprised to see fast development. I’ve encountered a bit of a manganese deficiency but that’s easy to fix. Smells interesting, like I recognize it but it’s new at the same time.

FarmerFred Day 47, looking and smelling good. I’ve been a bit busy lately so they don’t look as healthy as they could have. Apparently this cultivar takes 49-56 days but I doubt it will be ready by then. It’s got at least 2 weeks to go still.

FarmerFred Day 54 I think. Just about done, waiting for more pistils to turn brown and for the calyx to swell up. Will probably chop in a week or so.

FarmerFred Day 61 I think... this will likely be the last update before the harvest post. Trichomes are mostly cloudy, some amber and some clear. I have to be functional for my job so I’m not a fan of high CBN. Pistils are mostly orange as well and buds are looking swollen. I must say the smell is something else. I remember ordering Critical Mass from a dispensary years ago and it was some of the nicest weed I had ever smoked at the time. This smells just like that critical mass did.

FarmerFred Been really busy starting a new job in banking, so I haven’t been taking pictures of the harvest or my other grows lately. This is the one photo I have after I chopped it lol. It fills a 2 litre jar in curing so I’d estimate the final harvest was around 3 oz. I’ve smoked about 1/3rd of it already so I’m not gonna bother weighing it now. This is hands down my favourite grow so far. Definitely not as pretty as Pineapple Express but the smell and bud structure is much more appealing. I’ll be growing another seed of this again soon.
