This turned out great and is my second harvest ever so, 10 stars it is! This plant is a strong grower. The buds are heavy and tightly packed. Has a great citrus and ester (not the person) smell. The plant was no trouble at all and survived newbie mistakes. I cannot wait to dry, cure and try.

Drying is almost complete. Im trimming and curing in the next day or two. I will post some close ups. It has some nice color. I still have half the stalks to trim and all the leaf clean up to go Buds are a week into curing and it is a really sweet smooth smoke, very stone. Buds took a bit to dry as they were thick sticky The dry harvest break down is 68g of really nice buds sized between a remote control and an inch across (that is around 43 hectares for those using the metric system) 91g of buds smaller than an inch and down to a pea (gazelle sized in metric) It looks like a light cycle issue in the last 2 weeks of flowering forced it to hem. Luckily, it was in a small area and I harvested right after w/o realizing it. I have seeds in a few buds next to each other but the other 97% of the plant is seed free. I think I got lucky. After looking at my tent after harvesting the marty and JR, I left a bottom vent cover off the tent a month or more ago and I think that is what caused the lower branch by the vent to herm.

I can use some help on this one. I am pretty new. The variety is called Hawaiian Staycation. It has done well and we are in the last week or so of flowering. It got a bit dry in the tent and the leaves really yellowed. I plan on harvesting next week, should I be concerned?

The pre harvest fade. Your plant is far enough along you don't have to worry about the leaves now.

I am using 10 gallon pots on this grow with a mix of soils including some from the chicken coop (aged). As a new grower I see a lot of advice to go smaller. To me larger systems are more stable, am I off?

As long as you veg the plant long enough to fill the pot out with its root then your all good ๐Ÿ’ช pot size is preference. I use 3 gallon on auto flowers cause of the shorter veg times. Then 5 gallon pots with plants veg for roughly 2 months or 7 gallon for 3 months. Good Luck Bro ๐Ÿ’ช

We have chickens and ducks which provide all kinds of poop. I have a pile I use to age it for about a year. It is a mix of poo, oyster shell and broken down leaf mulch. I am not sure exactly what it adds as for as nutrients. Does anyone have a guess?

Chicken manure is the feces of chickens used as an organic fertilizer, especially for soil low in nitrogen.[1] Of all animal manures, it has the highest amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.[2] Chicken manure is sometimes pelletized for use as a fertilizer, and this product may have additional phosphorus, potassium or nitrogen added.[3] Optimal storage conditions for chicken manure include keeping it in a covered area and retaining its liquid, because a significant amount of nitrogen exists in the urine.[4] Fresh chicken manure contains 0.5%[5] to 0.9% nitrogen,[6] 0.4%[4] to 0.5% phosphorus,[5] and 1.2% to 1.7 %potassium.[5] One chicken produces approximately 8โ€“11 pounds of manure monthly.[6] Chicken manure can be used to create homemade plant fertilizer.[6] Oyster shells are useful for your garden. Their calcium content helps to balance soil pH levels, improves nitrate uptake, aids enzyme formation and strengthens plant cell walls Leaves are a significant source of nutrients such as Carbon, Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potassium.

If anyone knows what "Marty McFly" is, I'd love to hear it.

@FreshCoastOrganics, Thank you! It looks interesting...maybe it is the mystery
FreshCoastOrganics

@Lucky2Times, All I was able to find was that it was a strain from a drop released by Twistyโ€™s Seeds based out of good ole Oklahoma, USA. Thatโ€™s really it though, nothing else came up about that specific strain.

Wow. The Jelly Rancher looks absolutely amazing. I am definitely looking forward to seeing mine grow some super frosty buds like yours. Humboldt Seed Co has some killer genetics. After I finish this Jelly Rancher and Pineapple Muffin run, I have four other Humboldt strains I plan to grow in a larger tent. I will be growing Raspberry Parfait, Old Growth OG, Vanilla Frosting and Blueberry cupcake. After that I will run Pistachio, Strawberry Cheesecake, Vanilla Cream Pie and Nutter Budder. I already have the seeds in hand, ready to grow. I live in a prohibition state on the east coast, and got tired of paying premium dollar for weed, and still being limited by what black market dealers happen to have on hand, so I decided to start growing my own, and be my own dispensary, lol. I also like variety, so hopefully a few months from now I will have jars and jars of all the flavors and variety that I want. Starting go grow my own is one of the best decisions I have for myself and my health, because my weed is my medicine, just like it is for so many of us. Anyway, sorry for the long message, I just thought I would share. I will check your grow as it goes along and see how your harvest turns out.

@FreshCoastOrganics, I wish mine had had more room in the tent. The buds are between a pine cone and rose and keep a nice red center. Super nice smoke. If I can grow anyone can grow it.

@FreshCoastOrganics, Thanks! I have a few friends who are growing it as well (a few weeks ahead of me) so far everyone is having real good luck with this strain.
