12/12/21: placed seed in water today 12/13/21: no change yet 12/14/21: seed split open, and planted inside a 2 gallon smart pot 12/16/21: no sign of anything going on, starting to make a new plan if this goes south. 12/17/21: and we have liftoff. went down to check on my other seedlings and noticed there were some leaves poking out of the soil. Today is officially Day 1. I monitored the plant throughout the day, and he was definitely on day 1. He had emerged not long before I first saw him, so I knew he would be fully upright soon enough. I was right, a little while later, all three seeds were officially fully germinated
