Hello GrowerZ, First of all, Merry Christmas to each and every one of you !!! 🎁 🎄 🎉 …. hope you‘re all spending time with your loved ones, appreciate the time with them and you‘re enjoying your holidays….. ….There are some pretty good news ,which I’m really looking forward to share with you guys …. 📰 💚 …… 🥁 drumroll…. …..We finally made it trough the germination stage … 🔥 🔥 🔥 🙏🏻 …..Thank God!… ……yes ,you heard right, we made it… 💪 Most of the planted Seeds germinated (even though,it really took a while for them to sprout…..was a little bit nervous, but in the end - all good ! )….. Actually ,this is where we stand right now……: PEBBLES BERRY - 10 out of 10 Seeds germinated 💪 💪 💪 WEDDING BERRY CAKE - 8 out of 10 Seeds germinated 👍 FORBIDDEN BERRY - 8 out of 10 Seeds germinated 👍 ……..Not too bad, but as you can see, it could be better…..there’s still a little gap to close,so I‘ll try my best to make it better next time……progress is everything ! (👉 basically learning from the mistakes and experiences you’ve made along the way…) There you have it…. - These are the plants which we will work with, over the next couple of Weeks….(👉 I will have an eye on these sprouted ones ,to see If they develop like they should and I will be on the look out for any viral infections or mutations or deficiencies ,that can occure ,aswell…)… I don‘t think that the rest of them will sprout,they really had enough time to germinate ,and even if they would,I wouldn‘t use them for this run anymore….mainly ,because they would never catch up with the other ones (I am pretty sure they would lack behind in every aspect (vigor/growth/rooting/overall health,a.s.o…)and they obviously having some troubles ,which I can see ,through them not germinating…so time to move on….! So how exactly did I manage to get trough this crucial time of germination…? ……well,this is what I did over the last week…. First ,I gave the soil a little bit time to dry out a little bit(not completely),because I thought maybe I overwatered ,that’s why I had removed the foliage wrapping before aswell…. Like I said in my previous post,my main focus was on the temperature ( had it around 23-24 Celsius continuously) and the humidity levels (as my lights are on for 24 hours continuously,it’s easier to have good, continuous conditions)….for the first couple of days (let’s say 5-6 days max!) I had the domes on the trays and I managed to have a humidity level around 70%(used a pumpsprayer over the day ,to raise the humidity level under the domes; sprayed with a light solution of seaweed, GHE Pro roots and URB - little foliar feeding included )…In that time ,I continuously opened up the airration wholes on the domes ,each day a little bit more,to let in more air for the plants(note : this happens over a couple of days!) until I finally removed the Domes completely on the trays (max5-6 days!)and managed to set the humidity level around 60% inside the tent……time to put the domes aside…… I also took care of the watering process…. I strictly used a pumpsprayer to water my plants, and had an eye on the ammount I gave every single one of them….Like I said before,it’s good to lift up your pots ,so you can figure out ,if some of them need water or not….this way you get a feeling for it and it helps to make decisions ,like should I water or not….I also tried to not let the soil dry out completely…..mainly ,because I want the bacteria to like their new home and the fungi to develop a big „Fungi-Web“ in the soil….. we now have our little plants… 💚 the goal is to to develop bigger and stronger plants and a strong rootmass over the next weeks and get them to thrive ( I think they already enjoying their new home… 👍)….. till now ,I haven‘t adjusted the ph of my watering solution…..as I said before , it’s not really needed in the early stage of germination , but I will check it from now on…if really necessary , I adjust the PH of my solution , but normally I’m in a good range( between 6.5 - 7.2 PH - Note: I am growing in soil ! ),so mostly I don‘t need to adjust anything, thanks to the products I am using…... 💪 I will mainly rely on the Microbes( Bacteria/Funghi )around the Rootzone ,to go to work and do their Job….. I‘m using a few new products to the already being used ones….each one of them has their own specific purpose and assignment to it…. First we have GHE Pro Roots…this is my rooting stimulant of choice , and will help them plants to develop a strong rootmass….it is high concentrated, 100% organic and with a bottle of 60 ml (like I am Using), you will get trough a lot of rooting stages…trust me!….and the best - it does the job !…no more words needed…. Next in Line is South Cascade’s Organics - SLF-100…This is an AMAZING Product.!…. it’s a plant- and Microbe based Enzyme Product and 100% organic ….it is full of beneficial Bacteria and Enzymes and it helps to create a balance in the soil..it also helps to balance out the Nutrient uptake(as a reason of the Microbes and the microbial activity in the soil)and it helps to prevent and it even Break Up Soil Build Ups / Salts/ helps with the Calcium uptake,a.s.o…...due to this fact,it makes any locked Nutrients in the soil ,for the plant available…part of that,it stimulates Root Health,and that‘s one of the main reason ,why I‘m using it ,in this early stage of plant growth….it also contains H2O2 (Hydrogen peroxide) it‘s seems quite expensive for an Enzyme Product (if you compare it with other Enzyme Products on the market) but from my point of view it‘s truly worth every single penny…..!!! I think I paid around 50 bucks for 1L… like I said ,quite expensive for an Enzyme Product …. But it really helps on so many different fields simultaneously (it helps even in pest prevention (especially Fungus Gnats and general plant Health !)and it is usable with your regaular Nutrient Line (compatible with all Nutrient Manufacturers…!!!….).one bottle of 1L will last you for quite sometime( low dossage rate!)…..I use it trough the whole grow cycle (at a dosage of 5ml per gallon of water,except at seedling / rooting stage - half of the dosage per gallon of water )and for flushing (if needed) …basically the recommended dosage rates on the bottle……at least once a week I normally do a „only water and SLF-100 day“ with the recommended dossage…(5ml per gallon) There are a lot of reasons to to use SLF-100….Go for it and give it a try , you won’t be disappointed!!! Next one is BioTabs - Bactrex….it‘s an microbial inoculated for the Rhizosphere,which helps to bring life into the soil.it contains a lot of different Bacteria and different fungi (f.ex. Mycorrhiza) .mycorrhiza ,is a special type of fungi,which normally settles on the Roots and develops a Web. Mycorrhizae takes Food for the plants from places where to roots normally don‘t have acces to and deliver it directly to the roots,in exchange for sugars(👉 symbiotic relationship) Trichoderma (another type of fungi) kills Pathogenes (Bad fungi/bad Bacteria),it colonizes the root and builds a shield around the roots.when trichoderma is on the roots ,there’s no place for bad pathogene (bad bacteria and bad fungi)to attach on to the roots,because the place is already occupied by the trichoderma.it’s really important to use bactrex in early plant stage.(as early as possible),so the different Bacteria and fungi start working early… I use it every 2 -3 Weeks to boost and increase the bacterial and fungal Populationen and Activity inside the soil I use a dossage Rate of 1 gramm per Liter of water(recommended dossage)….. when I am mixing up a solution of Bactrex with water,I add some molasses to the mixture,to have some food available for the Bacteria and fungi inside and I add some Urb Natural aswell…from my point of view it‘s really good to combine these products together inside this solution….URB natural is loaded with benefical bacteria and fungi,humic-and fulvic acids . (Note:👉 It‘s important to give the bottle of URB Natural a Good Shake(15 -30 sec.),before using it, because the microbial Life settles on the bottom of the bottle …you want the microbial life,so shake it well) Last but not least is Molasses….I think most of you know the benefits of using molasses…..you can call Molasses an „Indirect“ Fertilizer, because it’s not feeding the plants directly,it helps mainly with the symbiotic Relationship in the soil(…the high sugar content inside the Molasses ,will be used as a food source for the microbes (Bacteria/Fungi) inside the soil(aswell as f.ex. liquid seaweed, which also has other benefits)……beneficial Bacteria and Fungi Love their sugar source….. Just keep in mind ,that you use an unsulphered product….(👉 if u use „sulphured molasses“ , it can raise the ph level and the acidity level in the soil and harm the beneficial bacteria !) These specific beneficial Bacteria’s live in a symbiotic relationship with your roots(around the rootzone) and provide the plant with trace minerals, which are locked(not easy accessible for the plant)inside the soil, in exchange/ trade for sugars,which the plant is giving them(from the leaves- basically any excess energy which is left over from Photosynthesis,is sent from the leaves down to the roots in form of sugars …..A true symbiotic relationship between the plant and the microbes….Even Phosphorus an Nitrogen can be obtained by specific types of beneficial bacteria….so it‘s obviously really good ,to apply these beneficial bacteria to the soil and to feed them ,so they can go to work 🏗️ Molasses gives the microbes basically everything they need ,to survive and massively expand the microbial population inside the soil. I use Nortem Bio Sugar Cane Molasses…..there are several different products on the market ,which you can use….. I just wanna say ,that I am not sponsored by any of these companies mentioned above….. The only reason , why I am mentioning them,is that I truly believe in the benefits of using these specific products and that’s why I am using these products and mentioning them here…. !!! I also want to mention, that I am not applying all Products all together at the same time….! Finally ,I want to encourage you to do your own research on the Products you‘re currently using - knowledge is key to success….!!! you can spend a lot of money on different bottles and products but if you don’t know how to use them the right way or when and why to give a product at that specific time, than it can get quite frustrating very fast…..do your research !!! Over the period of a growcycle ,it’s almost sure that several different problems will occure in that time ,and it depends mainly on your knowledge ,if you will be able to overcome these obstacles…. One last thing I forgot to mention……The plants will soon be topped ,transplanted into bigger Growbags (4L)and move into their new home, which will be a Secret Jardin Darkroom 240 x 120 x 200 cm ,but that‘s another story …..
