Should have started week one but here’s the lowdown. Started seeds in a cup of water. All cracked by next day. Placed them in coco cups (love these things) with fox farm frog soil for some nutrients while seeding and a shot of root blast 2 cm below seed. Week 2 healthy roots burst through the cups and fems were transferred to 3lbs fabric pots and Washington coco medium.
Topped week 3 when 6-8 laterals were showing and used LST training throughout vegetation. Broke a couple branches and more lateral branches shot out. Week 5, 7, and 8 defoliated heavily and they just keep springing back healthier than ever. So far only adjustment I had to make is White widow is sensitive to watering so had to split feedings to two times a day by week 5 to not overwater.
I built a regulated room so temperatures range between 72-75 F and a dehumidifier runs constantly blowing dry air into the oscillating fans keeping humidity at 45-50% in the veg stage and 35-37% in flowering. The lights are overlapping for the best coverage and wattage per square foot. The floor is laid with porcelain to not give mold a home to grow in. Only thing missing is a trellis net but it’s too difficult to reach the center plant. Feeling good. No issues to report and girls are large and filled with tops and strong lateral branches.
Girls are forming up nice. Was hoping the defoilation would slow the stretch down but as you can see a burst of new foliage replaced the cropped plants in a matter of a few days. One gold leaf in the corner was growing incredibly fast almost touched the lamps at 5ft so I had to break two tops and tie them to the base of the plant. I've done this before and as expected the branch rebounds and lateral branches stretch upwards. Not a pretty look but effective. Only real issue was a bit of wind burn on the white widows. Readjusted the fan and added a couple smaller blizzard oscillating fans and they are doing just fine. Another week down cheers!
Some super cropping. First week beastie bloomz. Took some nice blue dream clippings for a few clones (she smells so fucking good). White widows frosted over at 16 days and are now smelling like a bakery. Going to be frosty phenos. Two gold leafs are lagging behind but the center plant is in beast mode with THICK branches and buds are already showing good mass and density at 3 weeks. If only I had a trellis installed I may have been able to train better saving some of the lateral colas but they formed up nicely after heavy pruning. Whit widow seems to a little sensitive to the nutrient switch and I'll have to monitor and possibly flush off schedule (currently every 2 weeks). All in all looking great.
Pros: Well bouyz after 2 weeks of beasties and following a good flush the nugz are stacking up nice and dense. Blue dream have awesome, thick towering branches and no doubt will lead to some monster buds. White widow had some good growth but slower than the others but the trichrome production tops the others. The center gold leaf is still taking the lead on size and will most likely produce the most.
Cons: the behemoth gold leaf in the corner would not slow down and is now, I believe, rootbound and possibly suffering from some rot. Select leaves in the center are turning yellow with brown spots and falling off. It doesn't seem to be affecting flowering but I took precaution by giving it a shot of root doctor. The white widow in the center is showing similar signs but at a way lesser extent. Could just be me overreacting but a few of the leaves are yellowed and wilted with small black spots (usually a sign of root problems). I usually leave some foliage randomly hanging at the lower section of the plants to remedy any problems that may arise before it gets out of control. Hopefully these issues don't progress and I can reap the rewards of a bountiful harvest. 4-5 weeks remaining.
Well the gold leaf in the back hermed so she got the chop. The blue dream did not like the cha ching and got a little seared so had to rebalance nutes and reconfigure an EC of 2.0 give or take. Other than that nugs keep getting denser and some of the branches are starting to bend over due to the weight. At week 5 not bad. Only a few of the plants pistols are starting to turn and may add another week of flowering.
The foliage is starting to turn yellow. Tricromes became milky on the seed brachs and a few amber tricromes on the outer leaves of the white widow and gold leaf. The blue dream is still growing and probably has 2 weeks or so left as expected with sativa. Will start flushing the widow and gold and most likely harvest them at the end of the week.
Just stacking. Another gold leaf hermed 8th week flowering. Disappointed in ilgm gold leafs genetics this time around but still looks like a heavy haul. Took down a white widow and gold leaf and looks to be a good yield. Definitely not unhappy with the widows.
Looks like they were dipped in sugar and smells sweet. Easy to grow. A little sensitive to wind burn but that may have been contributed to dry temps. One ripened early 2 more hanging. Will update when dried and cured.
Not a good experience this time around. Culled one at 4 weeks because of herming and a second one hermed at week 8. Luckily enough the second one was far enough into flowering it was able to finish but not happy with the genetics. Normally gold grows some monster plants with a great balanced high. I did however make out with one monster plant with no problems that yielded some nice nugs. Will update yeilds once dried.
Plant 1 flowering 56 days (no problems) 5.0 oz
