Great week where I was able to accomplish several tasks required prior to flipping to flower. As the plant resembled a hosta, I needed to defoliate, and top. I also was able to provide a "pre-flower" top dressing that consisted of Build a Soil Craft Blend, freshly milled sprouted Gnarley Barley, Build a Flower top dressing, earth worm castings from Michigan Worm Works, and an innoculation of Beauveria Bassiana. It's a first to try this to further prevent pests from the soil disturbing the plant. When the microscopic spores of the fungus come into contact with the body of an insect host, they germinate, penetrate the cuticle, and grow inside, killing the insect within a matter of days. Afterwards, a white mold emerges from the cadaver and produces new spores. A typical isolate of B. bassiana can attack a broad range of insects. Added additional information with the pictures. Will start training this week and throw into flower, next week.
hey bud im also growing grandpas stash, just finished its second week! i agree its growing extremely vigorously, i have a feeling it will end up being a favorite!
Good luck brother 🤞 🍀 , I’m doing my first ethos grow and hoping for good results
I’ll be watching this grow , I was interested in this strain but didn’t get it
@MarcGrows, just smoked my first bowl of it, smoke was smooth and floral, a gassy exhale, the stone is very balanced indica, very relaxed but not tired. overall i am enjoying it, very stress relieving evening smoke.
@Drgreenthumb627, Thanks buddy! I appreciate the info. I am a little disappointed. I like tight thick dense buds that break apart at the bracts, and stay put in a pipe! Thanks again!
@MarcGrows, i also was disappointed with the amount if airy buds i had, other than the top colas of each plant most of the buds below were quite airy. i only ended up keeping about half of the total buds. i think in order to make this strain yield quality flower i will have to defoliate everything below canopy as it doesn’t seem to grow quality below that.
jus popped some gpas stash. two. going to be put in two earthboxes eventually when its their turn. these SIPs put out some KILL on autopilot. subbed to your grow. looks like you and i have similar styles.
@Gas_Pharmer, Good luck! They are voracious growers! I noted that when I used some vermicompost as a top dress on a second run earthbox, it was like adding gas to a fire!
@Drgreenthumb627, possibly... if you note in the pics of buds, it appears she has multiple axillary buds on each branch. 😬 I believe she will yield higher than 8 oz.
