She's out and about .. I'm hoping I can recreate the circumstances of my first girl as she's doing amazing. This is another orange cookie strain, the second seed I got, and I really love my first one .. so here's hoping!
Nothing to say yet really.. she's grown her first little leaves and she's ready to start.
12/19
She's spreading out very similar to the way the first one did. I'm watering her in a wide circle to encourage root growth and trying not to overwhelm her with light. She's growing a lot and has her first bigger leaves starting up. The last grow I used the pot to pot to 7gal. This time I'm planning to do the pot to a 3gal. I'm using air pots for the 7gal and the 3gal. I want to see if it makes a difference for these two girls. People have told me contracting ideas on the pot. That autos couldn't or shouldn't be put in such big bags because time is short vs screw it.. time is short .. bigger roots bigger harvest.
I'm still doing the smaller pot first for a couple of reasons. The larger pots are too heavy for the little shelf where I put the smaller light and they're too big. Also I think letting the roots hit the wall and put effort into making a web is good for her. I just kinda like seeing that moment when you transplant them and that web just shoots out. Plus it keeps the soil fresher and reduces the nutes you need to add to water.
She's not getting any nutes at the moment because she is in fox farms ocean floor soil. It seems to have a good amount of nutes for the starting plants. With her older sister I just gave her nutes for the first time this week and she's in flower... so the soil seems really good.
She's spreading herself out and reaching for the sky. I left room to add soil if she stretched but the fan seems to have done its job. She has a good strong stalk to start. When I transplant her I'll see for certain but she has a good start.
I have her under the VIPARSPECTRA P600 2x2ft 4x4ft 300pcs LEDs. I'm not too sure if that's a really good light or a good enough light .. in the past I used the little blurple lights so we will see if this changes anything.
I'm planning to put her in a 3gal instead of the 7gal and see if there is a significant difference between their growth. Though, to be honest, there is no way I can recreate the growing climate of the first girl.
Except an accidental drying incident she's had a good life

She's spreading out good .. I am looking at the node spacing and she seems really happy where she is to the light. I think she's doing great
A lot of growth this week, I decided to top her and pull her down a bit. I wasn't going to, but I want to compare her to her sister . And that's how it worked out.
The main difference between them is the size of the pot and I wanna see how big of a difference that makes.
She's doing good though, healthy and green. I worry the fan is too strong but the girls seem to take it in stride. I swear they like it to be hard.
I put her in a new pot, originally I was going to see if she would grow as big in a 3 gallon pot as the one in the 7 gallon pot. However I just could not bring myself to leave her in there, not when she could do so much better in a bigger pot.
At 1st I thought the yellow leaves were from transplanting but all of the plants in the tent suddenly had yellow leaves. That's when I learned about light burn.
It had never occurred to me that a plant could get too much light. Again. I guess I understand the idea that it could have too many hours of light, but the idea of too much light I didn't understand. Too much heat, sure I can get that period but they're not too hot they just simply have too much late
With my 1st plan I did LST every single day, lots of pulling down. This one I went back to work and didn't have as much time. d as a result it's just about as tall as the original plant.
I went ahead and did some LST today. I also topped this plant several times as it was growing
This girl is massive! Originally I had her in a smaller 4gal pot but I couldn't resist and put her in a 7gal like her sister.
I'm not sure why .. maybe I am not being as aggressive with the LST... maybe she was stressed less or had more time with the good lights... I dont know .. but her sister is on day 69 and she only on day 48 .. .but she's as big and slightly larger. It's highlighting one issue I didn't expect in my tent .. which is the issue with growing different plants every few weeks ... she's so big she is shading her sisters flowers. I have to keep moving them around in the tent.
Who would have guessed just two plants would fill and take over the 3 by 4 tent ... not I! Maybe you would have known but I'm surprised.
This girl was doing amazing .. a week and a half ago she was green and full and would spill out of the tent when I'd open it up.. .but she turned yellow and her leaves burned up and fell off suddenly.
I'm giving her nutes and it's affecting another plant in the room so the only thing I wasn't controlling was the ph... so I am buying a kit
I have a soil reader and brought the soil down a bit and hope that does the trick. Then I fed a little too to make sure they could absorb the nutes.
Hopefully she rebounds. I'm kinda sad seeing her like this.
Sorry I've been behind but this plant has been giving me a lot of trouble. I don't know exactly why, my 1st grow used tap butter all the way through with no problems. It wasn't until the very last couple of weeks that she started showing any signs of ph in balance.
This one however started showing signs a lot sooner and lost almost all of her leaves which was quite scary because 1 day she was literally spilling out of the tent when I opened it in the next she was stick skinny.
I'm not exactly sure what happened the only thing I can get is that now that I'm using nutrients it's changing the ph and I had messed it up somehow. So I started checking my soil ph and it was close to 7 and a 1/2 which I know is too high. I also finally started checking the water and realized that While sometimes it's around 7 it can go as high as 8. And I'm sure that's a big part of what was messing me up.
I really struggle with the nutrients, I just don't know if I'm overdoing it or underdoing it any given time period the plant always looks like it's having some kind of issue. My solution is to try to keep better track of the nutrients versus the water versus the ph channel of the things in a notebook. I. I kind of thought I could get away with skipping that stuff. And before you laugh your a** off at me be aware that my whole 1st grow I did skip all that stuff and came out with almost 2 oz.
Damn it!
I forgot to do the ph down and she's yellow again .... drama queen
At 93 days (I think) I hope I can hang her soon .. she's having a hard time unlike her sister.
I really enjoyed this strain. If you want something for social gatherings this is a great strain. Once you smoke it you can't shut up. It's got a great mental high and it leaves me making new things.
