First photoperiod. Very small leaves, not what I'm used to with Autos!. Defoliation, probably took off more than I should have! Retied her down, probably going to flip sometime this week.
Started 12/12 on Friday, a little bit of growth since then. Stores were out of distilled water and I ran out of tea, used Spring water. Leaves have great color.
Grew a few inches, started to show preflowers. Looks like I need to feed her more! Defoliating about every other day. Took off the LST ties, and raised the light a bit. Accidentally had the tent slightly open one night during lights out.
Still stretching.... using tap water now. Added more soil and DE. I think I read the TDS meter wrong last time, so probably way overfed.
Finally had some time to retie down, but there are so many!!
Week 3 of flower. The smell crept up over the last few days. Smells like grape! Wasn't expecting the training to work so well, but great canopy. Almost all at the same exact height. Very excited to see how she turns out.
Raised the light a few inches to try to get more to the middle buds. Also retied down a couple branches for the same reason. You can tell where the middle and bottom ones are not getting enough. That smell!! 💜
Did some rearranging of the plants this week. She is now in the Alphapar 3x3 , with 2 Autos. Still under the SF1000. Incredibly sticky and pungent. Don't think I'm going to be able to get enough light to the bottom and middle buds. Still beyond excited for this one to be done!
Not much of a difference. Watered a gallon of tap water, no nutes. This is the temp and rh when the tents open. It's been a little higher than I'd like with the lower temp. Smelling fantastic!
Still going strong, leaves are very frosty but also a deep dark color underneath. More cloudy trichomes. Contemplated giving a tea, but watered plain tap water instead. Hoping she isn't ready until Purple Punch is dry so I can just use that tent. So close
3/8) Thirsty!! Changed my mind, gave two cups of tea when watered. Veins are purple ! Possibly the last time I water. Added a dehumidifier yesterday. Temp is low so trying to decrease RH , seems to be working. Doesn't help when I get 3 different readings!
Just realized I missed a week, been dealing with some shit.
She's drinking about a gallon of water every 3 or so days, way thirstier than any of my others. She's back in her own tent, Spider Farmer 2x2 with SF1000. The temp and RH is with the tent open for awhile. It's been getting too humid in there so keeping an eye on that. Gave 2 cups of tea, have no idea what's in it besides Pineapple tops( can't remember the word🙃😅😁!)
She seems happy
Week 14 of flower..She is very thirsty, drinking a gallon every 2 to 3 days. Watered and gave tea yesterday . I copied the details above from last week, didn't check this time. Getting very, very close. The purple is really starting to show now, very pretty!
Lights out on Saturday March 26th , shooting for 72 this time.
I fell in love with Purple Ghost Candy on Seedsman Discord page ( with 1 picture!) Have never been so excited to try a strain..Everyone should grow this. She made me nervous, but did NOT disappoint. I'm going to miss the smell every time I open the tent, super sweet, smelled exactly like grape Candy ( which I don't even like!) The colors throughout the entire plant were stunning, my pictures don't do her justice. Several different shades of purple, contrasting against the bright green. 💜💚 Pretty simple grow, predict PGC will be in my top 3, if not #1..
Day 163
Day 92 /week 4 of flower This lady made me nervous, but did not disappoint! The colors and smell have me wanting to start another, possibly outdoors..Have never been this excited to try a strain. As long as I don't mess up the dry and cure she should be amazing!!
Dried for 6 days, trimmed and jarred on 4/4
This honestly sounds like the best strain I’ve heard about in a while , I had ghost train haze a couple years back and grew it outside , the ghost aspect is so cool lookin when they get near the finish line , I had to wait 11.5 week for flowers to be done , I need this candy variety of ghost!! I’m so excited for you ! Stunning plant made my morning to see. I look forward to smoke report from you. Take care
@Kayotic, haha, yeah. The moment I realized they’re smokeable once dry, it really tests my patience. That’s why I set out to grow so much that it doesn’t matter if i consume some a little early :) your set to have a great grow! I’ll be following it to see how it turns out!
@maelxich, happy to see another one, there aren't many of them on here! Both our first photos. Appreciate it. I got a late start on this one , was already on week 7 orb8 when I started the diary. Also , I have a habit of skipping the seedling stage and start counting as long as soon as they germinate.
I love opening the tent , the scent hits ya immediately. I hope your harvest is great! Trying to be patient and wait until end of cure.
@Kayotic, to respond to your comment on mine, yes thats her!
and ah yeah she does have a bit. I just counted your flower weeks on here and thought we were neck and neck! You should start counting it as Flower once you see pistils forming, not from flipping to 12/12. I see it's your first photo, just trying to inform best practice😀!
in any event, the smell for sure is NUTS! purple gasoline. i popped off a lower nug and dried it for a few days and threw it in the PAX and it was nuts. cannot wait for the final cure. 60F/60%rh for 16 days is what i'm going for!
Look really good. Don't worry about the bottom guys. Just do a multiple harvests. Cut all the mature buds off and excess plant them let the inner smaller bud mature and harvest the rest.
oh man, looking good!
so close!
I discovered that my timer was fucked up and was keeping the lights on for 2+ hrs every day for 2 weeks, and i noticed reveg on all plants. ended up chopping them and prepping for the next run.
I'm 7 days into dry @ ~60F/60% and i've taken a few samples and oh my gosh you are in for a treat!
@Kayotic, just had my first smoke of the day with some PGC and man is it good. I am yet to test the THC on my home test kit, but even if it’s not too high the terp profile is insane and makes up for
It. (Not that it’s not potent, just saying the flavor is insane)
All your gardens are gorgeous! 😇. Super, Super job. I came to you via a Seedsman post you made for this particular grow. Gosh dawg... that's beautiful. Ok... you made me smile 😅attempting to use those "hedge trimmers". I may be a Newbie but those are gonna very rarely "cut it", as they say. If I never see a pair of those again it will be too soon. 😬😬😬. Now moving up to the saw... CLASSIC! However, lopping shears do adequate or you could use a bolt cutter. 😳😂. Jokes aside... (I'm stoned) you're a great grower. I will be beginning my second indoor grow soon. I grow for fun and personal use so.... I would really like to try some "cool", beautiful strains and I can see you have a flair for them. Hope the humor didn't offend. Wishing you Happy, Heavy and High returns. Cheers!
@Wyregrasser, I appreciate the kind words AND the humor!🤣 The Seedsman Discord is wonderful, look forward to seeing ya over there.. Growing for the same reasons, and because I desperately needed a hobby. The whole process is quite therapeutic .. Happy growing!
