I germinated the seed using a water glass in a dark corner. Simple, easy, and effective.

Topping appears to be working well. Began some LST via tie down to encourage growth to other branches.

The plant took off this week. I am relatively new so was working through getting my PH measuring/balancing down. Now that I have established a better method the plant responded well. Put in a scrog to help even the canopy for the future. The other plant I have running is a bubblegum autoflower that is a few weeks older (right). Personally I really loved the look of the gold leaf at this point, it had a very nice spiral look to it almost like an xmas wreath.

The plant is just "keep on keeping on". Looks beautiful and is nearing the scrog. It is also nearing time for a second round of topping. I plan on keeping the Gold Leaf in veg for a while as the auto is running on 24, so trying to get close as possible to harvest for the auto before I flip the lights. Aiming for an xmas yield for the gold leaf. I also performed some super cropping this week. Wish i had take close up photos on the branches, it work like a charm. The plant growth really took off. In some of the photos you can see the branches are a bit twist and recovering from the super cropping.

Performed another round of topping as the auto on the right is still doing its thing. Also did some more super cropping on the new growth. Canopy growth has made it through the screen.

Didnt take a ton of photos this week. But flipped the light schedule to trigger flowering. The canopy has filled out beautifully. If i was more patient I would have vegged for a week or two more.

The buds are forming! Changed to a nicer light recently, light is great, although my mars hydro 600w did me justice. This new one I got of amazon for under $100 is 1000 watt led and crushing it. It has increased temps significantly which is a bit tough for me to control given my tent is in a closet. Also it is starting to getting less humid outside, so I reduced airflow in the tent to keep the humidity at 50. I have a small humidifier coming soon (oddly a Corporate work gift lol).

It has been primarily smooth sailing minus accounting for low humidity, but that doesnt appear to have bothered the plants. Finally taking some up close bud shots. I have never been much of a picture taking person (a bit of a shaky hand lol), so bare with me in future weeks.

Santa has been working hard so he can give out lots of smelly xmas presents. He has also been working on taking better pics of the buds. Ps. My tent is in my closet in my office (I have been WFH for 2 years). Nothing better on a stressful day than opening up the tent and staring into the green, my type of therapy. Has helped me get through my last semester of gradschool while also working full time.

Cant take my eyes off my plant. This is my second round of growing and I am the type of person who learns through failure (not gonna upload the pics of the first round plants lol). The buds are thickening up very nicely. Hoping to get between 3-4oz , the strain is high yielding but I have a smaller tent. My auto yielded 2oz with the same space (2 plants in one tent splitting the space), but the buds definitely didn't develop as well as these buds.

Graduated, and am off from work for a few weeks, so went overboard on photos. Plant is doing well, leaves are starting to turn yellow (strain trait). Can't wait for the harvest and being able legally gift my xmas ornaments to my cousins during our "cousins walk" at our family xmas party.

Getting close to the end. Buds are thickening up. I have been a bit loose on measuring PH these last few weeks, so not sure if fading color is ph imbalance or just the plant nearing the end. I lean towards the latter as my feeding and watering process has been consistent. There looks to be a XMAS decoration contest for a our local grow community. Unfortunately I cannot post on my instagram as to avoid awkward conversations with older family and work people. So I will make sure to share on here for those who stumble on my diary haha.

Looks like we are getting towards harvest. Excited but sad to see this end. This was my first photoperiod (i know a bit odd to not start with a photoperiod), and even though it required alot more patience, I found the entire grow process much more rewarding. The additional forms of training really made a difference and gave me control over my plants shape. Now its all about trichome monitoring for me and making sure I dont get too much Amber (my preference). Question for anyone out there. I have struggled with RH in recent weeks. Has anyone experienced significant side effects on yield when you drop below say 45 rh? I have been running a humidifier but doesnt always get me to the ideal range based on what I have read.
