New week D91 foxtailing starting to happen on the top sugar leafs, not much but it's a sign she is done, maybe a few days ago even. She has about 10% clear left rest are amber cloudy with a few milky turning cloudy. Have her the last feed last night and that should pull her through the week. Will add maybe some cal to continue to break down the nutes, but this will depend on her PPM reading during the week, I'll give about 800ml which should give me 50-100ml back in water I can test. RH is steady in my room at 48% 55-60% in the tent gets higher when the lights are on. Temp is 21.7 in the dark goes as low as 21c as it comes close to being in the dark for 9 hrs. Reaches 27c and stays there after about an hour of the light been on can jump from 27-28c no higher. 19/3/22 As you can see I have the RH as best as I can get in my grow room, I've installed the smart fan and inserted the sensor giving me 57%RH, 75F in the tent with the light off, it's rather hot today, much hotter than normal, it's normally 21c in my room it's 24.5 today. RH is at 50% in room, hopefully by installing my old intake fan in the lowest part of my tent and suck out 80% While 100% gets blown in on top will bring the tents RH to the same as the room, that's the hope anyways. But 57%RH is still okay, not optimal but not too bad neither 21/3/22 So, I tried out my new method. Of having my smart intake fan suck in 50RH and a bottom intake fan at the end sucking out older air at a lesser speed had it running for 8hrs, no change in humidity whatsoever just dropped the temp by 1.5c. I think the fact I have a 70x70 with so many plants has set the RH and thankfully it's not what it was which was touching on 80rh at some days. A bigger tent and I'll really be able to dial in my grows now I have all the tools to control RH/TEMP from S/H. For now 57%RH when it's low and 62% when the lights are on for a few hours. Stays around 57-60% atm for around 85% of the time. Temp is constant and doesn't change without my control within a range of 4-6c change difference, this number I have no problem in changing and I'll be making my tent a lot cooler after this wk ends. I'll be keeping her at 18c with lights off and 28 with lights on. As for this plant, because of what it was grown in, humus/topsoil and all the micro nutes from the big bud I want to make sure I'm flushing out all those harsh metals that'll ruin my smoke, we don't want that. So, every 3 dat for the next 2 weeks I'll be doing a hard flush of 6l, I have excellent drainage on this plant, so only do this extreme flushing iif you are sure you can get back at least 5l of water out of your pot. Or whatever she normally holds she can leave that behind from the flush and count it as it's watering, but say your plant drink 2l and you hard flush with 10l you are wanting to drain 8l of water back to avoid overwatering and other issues and then not go near it again till it's due it's regular watering feeds. I felt I had to go to this extreme as doing normal flushing that should be done would have been able to break down the nutes in the soil quick enough and it would have been prolonged. For example I did a flush and gave a little over what she needed her PPM was 2300. Tonight was her 2nd hard flush she done her first on day 30 her next will be day 96. Got some run-off from the last 500ml and it was 900ppm really good, the the reading from the first 2l was 1090, but 900ppm reading from the last 500ml could be back up in the 1500 or whatever, it could sky rocket up on the next hard flush first run-off back up to 1500 who knows this is the thing about growing in supersoil, the flush is so hard to do. Have also dropped the PH to 5.8-6 ad to try continue nute uptake and drain the goodness from the soil. And I want to keep it organic so I'm holding off using flawless finish. 22/3/22 Soil is still very damp today after last nights 2nd hard flush. Think I'll have to leave it for at least another 48hrs before doing another hard flush, as I need to know the real ppm of the soil and I'll only know that when the soil dries out and when the first 1l goes in I need to be able to catch what ever comes out and that will give me it's true PPM reading. Which hopefully will be 8-900, need to get it down as low as possible, which is very hard to do in soil. If I had of started this process 1-2wks ago, (flushing), I think it would have been better. It's only been in the flush 5 days now. I'll see how the soil is in 24hrs and if there's no comment update then you know I decided to let her drain her soil dry. Fingers crossed she'll drink up over the next 24hrs, am dying to know her PPM. 22.5/3/22 Checked the soil when I got up, still very damp, a little too damp, just shows her drinking has slowed down by at least 30-50%, hence the foxtailing. Nothing much I can do about it. Gonna have to leave her for 36hrs I reckon, will check tonight but I can't see her drinking this much. 24/3/22 Ran a bud test to she is she ready to bring to harvest and what kinda smoke will she be like with the supersoil that's never been used to grow weed as far as I can tell. Did a 2l PH6.3-PPM78 of distilled water hard flush, caught about 1.1l back and PPM/PH were acceptable. Few more days should cut in half again. I took best part of a node weighed back in at 10.7 grams of wet 3g smokeable trim maybe .3-.5 back of trim and 1.7-2grams of bud. Looking to get 10-15% of mostiure so around that of 10g is roughly 1-1.5g and then you take in the weight of weed which is usually half the of the 10-15 mostiured bud. So roughly you look to see back around 20% when all said and done, clearly this number would vary wildly depending on how much you like your weed dry, but it cant be anymore than 20% mostiure or you won't be able to smoke it let alone grind it. There's 14 nodes like that that was the smallest 1, and I only took 2/3s of it as there was to side bud stems coming off cut node for smoke test. Will keep her in flush till that PPM number drops to around 150-250 and then harvest. 25/3/22 Glad I did a test chop. Little bit to harsh for my liking, would have been ruined in the cure, thing is, if you have chemicals in your bud and cure, the smell won't just get more intense the harsh/chemical cough will also intensify. Did another hard flush. Surprisingly was still high 550. Waited and hour did another, the repeated twice more and 2 hours later i poured just 500 ml got around 400ml back as soil still couldn't hold water, ppm was 253 PH was a little lower 5.78. Final report for this grow. Didn't go to bad for a first grow. And first time ever this supersoil formula was used. Great at regulating nutes and keeping plant in decent range, more of a ORGANIC PK booster early on would have been nice. overall I'm happy and will report on harvest soon. 1.5 week 4 hard flushes later and 253ppm hopefully that'll drop to 150ppm but either way she's coming down soon. Final update on this as for flowering/flushing. Did her final test 38hrs ago she hit water PPM or just about 97ppm 19 above what the water Is. PH was low though, 5.71 compared to her 5.85-5.9 throughout the whole grow. She has been in the dark 38hrs when it hit 48hrs she will be fully chopped so far she has given 10.7 bud and a 4gramer I think, (earlier test) got like 3g back dry. Was nice smoke first gram was harsh of course but this one I took last week was just a tad stronger so I left her for a week's extra flush. I'm sure after the cure them chemicals would have really came out. Thanks for reading and following my first grow, drop a like and I'll look at your page. Took her height again topped out at 48cm 15 solid nodes with nodes coming off them, rough guess each node weighs from 15-25g wet. Will give wet results after rough trim, in a weeks time dry weight..1 month later cure effects. Will update on smoke quality weekly. At the moment it's light, earthy, wood and small taste of critris/fruits, very mild though. Resin/trichomes could of been better, this was down to me learning as my other grows who are wks behind are totally different even the zkittkez hydro is 3 times as sticky/smelly/And trichomes are all over the sugar leafs. You can see the buds in the flash look white as opposed to the colors we can see on this grow. She is still nice, give a nice head high, as she stands without the cure she is a nice day time smoke. Hopefully she'll get stronger as the cure goes on, I know I'll get her real taste in a few weeks. As for effects that'll be partly down to luck and steady curing envoirment. Again, thanks for taking the time to read/drop by my diary, drop a like and I'll drop by yours. Thanks for reading, keep her lit. gottagrowsometime TO THE PEOPLE OF URAKINE YOU ARE IN OUR PRAYERS. Grow Questions

So, I seen all my seeds were popping, so I checked out zkittlez organic and I could see the brown seed shell and was on its side, so I poked and proded and pult out a bent over stem, with a part of the shell husk not apart of the process, how will this effect it?

Never touch a sprout. You risk damaging the very tender sprout when you "help". If the seed/sprout is healthy it will do everything it needs to. It doesn't need help shedding the seed husk and needs no help emerging from the ground.

Is it too early for LST? I'd like the 2 main colas to be sticking up more, will I leave that to the growth or should I start training it now? I have the right stuff for lst, ties and that green sponge wire. Or will I wait till it finishes it's 3rd week at least. New to dis, so...

gottagrowsometimecommented3 years ago
@Percy, yeah she's taken over the tent completely. I just tied down some of the colas to show their bud sites to the light. Also it allowed me to be able to bend them out of the way as the growth was blocking out so much light in mid to low canopy. So, I bent them out and took about 30cm of height and by doing so it's allowed all the bud sites to catch up. Yeah 15 days maybe even 30 but after 15 days I'm hoping I'll have to tie the colas up to give it support rather than down. She should be a fun 1 if I can bring her to harvest.

Hey friend clean looking setup. Congratulations on getting into growing cannabis. I hope it is okay with you if I offer you some pointers? So cannabis plants love heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it, We can exploit this in veg and early flower to get more vigorous growth from our plants. Veg & early flower temps of 79-84 MAX lights on are good and no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. If we allow for more than 10 degrees less with lights off we will stretch our plants a lot we do not want that. Keeping our temp gaps tight through veg and early flower is important. With autoflowers you need to watch for it, But with photoperiods once plants finish growing vertically by weeks 4-6 of flower THEN we want to open up our temp gaps to allow for more than 10 degrees less with lights off. I notice you have not done this I would recommend it. Now at this stage instead of stretching it will send extra energy into the plants budding process and resin production. As each week passes drop the temps slightly more widening the gap between lights on and lights off temps. Also if you have not done so yet get yourself a PAR meter & a thermal laser temp gun to better read your plants and grow to their needs. With that low wattage of LED's you can get them closer for sure, But these 2 pieces of equipment will help you do it safely. We want to get the most potential out of our lights as possible. Check out VPD, Vapor pressure deficit and how it relates to growing cannabis. All new growers should learn this and get used to using a VPD chart to go off. If you ever need help or have any questions please feel free to ask I am always around to help out. Check out my 200 light 7,000 plant diary & follow my profile! I am currently producing a tutorial series for youtube if something like that interests you hop on over to my youtube and subscribe. It is linked through my grow diaries profile. @LegacyMarketFarm, man, this is solid advice. Very good read. Will defo be applying this in my next grow for sure and adding these steady temps. Well my temps aren't spot on but witj light on compared to off it stays within 6-7c. I live in EU, so humidity is very high, I have dehumidifier to keep it between 60-70 But it's hard. Once I open my door it messes it all up, lol. I'll DM u if I need more help wit u what you said. Im actully going to put this down as I keep tips and stuff that makes sense for the next grow. So very much copy and paste. My mem has taken a tole thanks to that lovely grewn bud we strive for. Thanks very very much bro. Delighted with any advice/info from very experienced growers like urselfs. Talk soon.

Very NiceπŸ‘.. I noticed you said you don't have organic sugars. I use an organic molasses which has calcium, mag. and a bunch of stuff your plant needs and I also make a banana peel tea once in awhile to promote flowering. I've had great success growing like this, since I'm trying to keep it organic, check out my Strawberry banana and Cindy 99 diaries, 100% organic.. Have a good Day!!!

@northernMike, hey pal. Yeah I got loads and loads of expensive nutes. I should have focused on more organic nutes. Supersoil done a lot. Got some organic raw NPK mol off a friend. Have me an N mix and a PK mix Sep and he also put some trace elements in there 2. Wish I had them earlier. Thanks for the comments. GonnsGonna drop by your diary now.

I just recently purchased one of these seeds. Looking forward to growing it. Yours looks great so far. Any pointers?
gottagrowsometime
gottagrowsometimecommented3 years ago
@Granddaddy_Terp, hey buddy, sorry only seen your mes. They love big pots. The bigger the better. I let my hydro grow through the grate and was like a mini DWC after that happened it literally transformed my hydro zkittlez not this 1. See how low down the soil is. Still 1/3 of the pot left without soil. I'm sure if I had filled it up she would be much bigger. This plant has lots of ruideraills or whatever it's called and plants that have high amounts of that need extra micro nutes as compared to photos. Loves lots of cal and all the other micro nutes when moving into stigma. Good luck buddy.
