These little ladies were started in a cup of seed and root by Dutch Science Nutrients, they cracked within 24 hours and were then put into paper towel for another 24 hours. The roots were good and long so they were planted in solo cups filled with Stepwell Soil. We are excited to see what these two have in store for us, I guess we are taking auditions in the grow room to see who gets a spot in the yard next season! We will take a few clones when the time is right and than they will bloom. 💚✌️
*Note, we started three seeds but lost one. The root may have needed more time in the paper towel but we believe it was one of those twisty girls who got herself tied up in a knot below the soil. I myself, can relate!
These beautiful little girls are doing very well, they were transplanted into three gallon pots and have already adjusted themselves. Our Candy girls are hearty and healthy which is what we hope to maintain for them all the way through. We had to give them a treatment of the Stepwell larvicide because we noticed fungus gnats and it seemed to help immediately, the last thing we need is an annoying infestation so the hope is to gain control of this situation before it gets worse. Aside from the gnats there are no issues to report. One thing is for sure, If they keep this up they will definitely earn a place outdoors!
As you can see these girls are doing very well, the only difference between the two so far is the height. We used MYCO 4 on the last transplant, they adjusted quickly and without a hitch. We are happy with the heartiness of both plants and look forward to seeing them in bloom.
Well these two girls are beautiful and lush, we very much appreciate them already for the strength they seem to carry. The only big difference between the two is the height, we don’t find that to be an issue at all so for them it has been a great week. We haven’t had to fuss with them to much although we did manage to take a couple of clones from each, as soon as they are rooted we will move these girls into flower mode and see how they bloom. Already they have a strong scent to them which is quite pleasing to us and hopefully, it will only get better.
Absolute Love for these ladies so far, they are gorgeous. The only difference between the two up until this point was the height but as you can see there are some abnormalities in the tallest of the two. They have both been topped all round and we wait for roots to appear on the babies, once that task is in hand we will see what flavour these Candy Girls are made off!
We are very excited to see these girls bloom and I believe this will be their last vegetation diary log. The clones we had taken have rooted so these two are good to move on and show us what they are made of. It is safe to say we both hope to have one of them stand tall outside, so far they have kept a great health system which is one of the things we are taking notes on. For these two, the show is about to begin! On stage please!
These girls very much enjoyed their tea and they had a shot of the Biolarvicide to take care of the nasty gnats. It works wonders to say the least and after last years gnats, we appreciate it.
On stage please! We have flipped the light schedule and it is time for the show, so far they are happy plants but we will have to take care of the powdery mildew that seems to be starting. This may seem awful yes, unfortunately it started on another plant but these girls took quite a while for the spores to rest and live on them, oddly enough these are the signs we hope for because they help us learn more about the strain itself. On a side note we have been trying a very tedious home remedy for the mildew (on other plants), it does seem to kill it although it takes a good amount of time. We have found that the strong sites leave a tan line once it’s clean but looks are not everything when you consider the waste it would be to lose the plant completely. Spraying the plants when in bloom makes me (the other half) cringe so we figure it is worth a shot but this is not something we would be able to do to an insanely leafy plant.
As for their diet it is almost ‘tea treat time’ which they have been enjoying every other week, they have had their first feed of bloom and now we wait for them to show us their moves! 5 6 7 8, work it ladies!
These two girls are doing well and they are both quite beautiful. They are moving at a fast pace which is a great quality and it is also one we appreciate especially when growing outdoors. At this point it is hard to say which of the two we like more, they are both setting themselves up nicely. We did remove a few of the lower branches once they found their form because we do not want any little bits taking from her tops. So far the Candy Girls are looking sweet!
These lovely girls are doing well and they smell as sweet as their name! The bottoms have been well cleaned and it is nice to see them filling in the way they are. Candy 1 has a noticeable amount of more leaf throughout her flower which is beautiful although it may cause a bud rot issue towards the end of the outdoor season. Regardless, it is safe to say that one of these ladies will have a clone of their own sitting outside very soon!
The Candy Girls are quite beautiful and we look forward the their harvest which will take place within the next week or so. They did very well considering all the circumstances and we will definitely have A Candy Girl outdoors! #1 is the larger of the two but she was more susceptible to the powdery mildew, #2 is a small producer but WOW to that bud! Decisions, decisions! 🍭🍬🍭💚✌️
As you can see these two were looking bound and bent by the time they were harvested. They are both a leafy plant but one (I can’t put my thought to number of right now) had a lot more, the bud itself was somewhat fluffy but it smells absolutely mouth watering. Please note- we do not have a working scale as of yet so that is in no way a proper weight. Cure on ladies, cure on! The end result will decide if the offspring will go outside. That smell kinda tilts the scale in her favourflavour though! 💚✌️
OHH!! .. nice to see you back!! Just as yesterday I was making a little *clean up* on my following list, could not remove you... I know what you did last summer 😍😋!!!!
Good luck with your phenotypes!
@sativaman, What a nice comment, we appreciate the consciousness and thank you so much! Last Summer! 😂 🙏👏
It has been quite a busy time and there is much growing on as always, we can get a little lost in the preparation for next summer. We will definitely be adding more diary logs as things ween themselves out of thy tents! Many cheers, 👊💚✌️
