Germination
The seeds were germinated about a week apart. They are the 3 center solo cups, the bottoms is the oldest and the top the youngest. The 1st one was a runt and slow grower, but is going strong now. The 2nd is the same size as the 1st, just with a bigger 1st set of leaves and a much smaller 2nd set. The 3rd is starting a promising ascent. I ran out of my soil mix, so at the last minute I amended some of my old soil, where the roots haven't fully decomposed, with some Dr. Earth 4-6-3, kelp meal, and some Coast of Maine Lobster Compost. It never had a chance to cook, everything in that tent is using that mix and you can see the deficiencies.

Watered lightly with some unsulfered blackstrap molasses a couple days ago. Once the soil completely dries, going to water with some recharge. Tent these are meant for, won't be ready for at least a few more weeks. So they will be sharing this 2x2x3 with a cheap bloom plus quantum board. #1 is very noticeably lighter green and shorter than the others. Too early to really note any differences as I started these at different times at different stages of soil development, and they are just a little too far away from the light. When these are ready to be transplanted, I will be putting them into 1/2 gallon fabric pots with Coast of Maine Stonington blend, while I veg them in this little tent. Lights just turned on in the pic, temps are normally in the high 70's and rh in the 40's.

The girls responded well to the recharge and are looking ready for a transplant. I didn't get Coast of Maine as planned, as my local store was out. Instead I mixed up a quick batch. The mix is 1/3 buffered coco, 1/3 perlite, 1/3 castings/compost (Bu's Blend/ BuildASoil castings). For fertilizer I used Dr. Earth 4-6-3, Dr. Earth Flower Girl, and some kelp meal. I used the BuildASoil mineral pack for coco, which is basalt dust, gypsum, and langbeinite. I also added some BuildASoil charged biochar. I'm nervous it's going to be too hot. I mixed in a 15 gallon pot and used a 1/2 cup too much fertilizer. Going to transplant into 1/2 gallon fabric pots sometime this weekend, and water with more recharge.

Just letting them veg out a little, going to do some high stress training soon. They have some nute burn on the tips. This strain is suppose to have 2 different phenotypes, #1 appears to be different from #2 and #3. *update: Topped and removed side branches.

Been bending my tops over and removed the new side branches. Unfortunately I split a top on #3, I probably could have taped it up but elected to remove it. Tied them all down and going to top again when I'm able to.

The girls were all topped again. Still showing signs of nute burn. There are some white dots on some of the leaves. I couldn't find any signs of spider mites, but I did see a thrip a couple weeks ago in a different tent. Not planning on doing any IPM yet, but I do have some neem oil ready to go. I've seen a few predator mites in the soil mix, I don't want hurt them yet with the neem, but give them a chance to save their own lives. I'm going to have some more space in that tent very shortly. When I do, I'm hoping I have the space in there to transplant into some 3 gallons. *Update: I think the white specks are likely droppings from fungus gnats in the tent. The auto flower is in a small container and being grown organically, so I don't really let the soil dry out and there aren't predator mites in that soil mixture.

Girls are starting to get hungy and really want to be transplanted. I top dressed each 1/2 gallon container with 1 tsp of 7-3-1 bat guano, 2 tsp of gypsum, and watered that in with Recharge. Hopefully the bigger tent will be ready next week and I can transplant these girls.

Transplanted into some 3 gallons a couple days ago and watered in some recharge and molasses. The girls responded well and look a little healthier. Did some stem rubs, #1 and #3 are more sour, burnt rubbery with subtle hints of tangie. #1 has a slightly stronger hint of tangie than #3. #2 smells like tangie that I've had previously and has a subtle hint of the sour from #1 and #3.

The girls were slow growing 4-7 days after transplant, and then really took off. I would love to top them again, but I'm waiting for space so I can take them as cuts. Sometime within the next week the 2x4 will be ready, *fingers crossed. #2. The tangie leaning pheno is the easiest to train, she bends and stays where you want. #1 and #3 stiffen up fast and break easily.

Transplanted #1 and #2 into 10 gallons and #3 into a 5 gallon. Mixed my new soil with some of my older soil that dethawed enough for use, and I added buildasoil worm castings and charged biochar for the mix. My tent is short, so I will have to flip to flower pretty soon. All 3 are looking healthy and I'm liking how they smell.

Top dressed lightly with buildasoil charged biochar, down to earth gypsum and 7-3-1 bat guano and a generous amount of worm castings. Switched to 12/12 light schedule on Sunday, March 6th. I'm going to keep trying to tuck and weave the branches through the trellis.

#1 is the slinkiest. #2 is weaving very nicely through the trellis and has the most stretch and is also very stinky. #3 is the least impressive, but also snapped when training and is in the 5 gallon. I'm going to keep tucking and weaving and keeping these girls small. I only gave these girls dechlorinated water the past week. I'm going to take more cuts of #1 and #2 in the next few days to give to some friends.

Watered in some recharge today on 3/19. The girls are looking good, but the humidity is becoming a concern. It's currently 63%. I live in a studio apartment on a concrete slab and it is currently raining. I have a large dehumidifier for the entire space, it froze and wasn't working as good for weeks and recently stopped working all together. I thawed it out and it's working great again. If it doesn't rain, it will take a couple weeks of continuous run to get the humidity down to the high 38-44% range. The higher humidity contributed to some explosive growth imo. I have to get a humidity sensor for my inline fan to level up my grow.

Gave a simple compost tea 4 days ago. 2 cups of worm castings 1 tablespoon of bat guano and some blackstrap molasses, aerated for 24 hours. The girls responded well and really perked up. Today on 3/26 I top dressed with a thin layer of Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4, some kelp meal and a heavy dosing of worm castings. #1 and #3 are very noticeably lighter green than #2, the camera doesn't really catch this difference. Usually when I water #1 she instantly starts to stink, so watering her is very satisfying. On the flip side, when she doesn't stink, I become very sad :( #2 has the most bud sites, and the buds are larger than #1. The girls don't clone easy at all. It took 3 weeks + some change for a #3 in soil to root. I'm still waiting for 2 #2's and a #1 in soil to root, it's been over a month probably close to 5 weeks. One of the #1 cuts I took died, so I took some additional cuts of #1 towards the end of the 1st week in 12/12. One of those cuts rooted in 2 1/2 weeks in peat pucks, waiting on the rest of those. I was planning on taking additional cuts of #2 and #3, but they started growing flower faster than I expected. I'm going to try not defoliating on this run. I'm going to be drying in an environment around 40% rh so I want to keep all the leaves on.

#1 and #3 were starting to show signs of magnesium deficiency. All 3 are showing signs of a calcium deficiency. I watered in some Epsom salt a few days ago, #1 has bounced back, #3 is still looking pale. Today I top dressed all 3 with gypsum. #1 and #2 I added additional worm castings. #3 I added 2 teaspoons of Epsom salt. I waterd in with some Mikrobs. It's a recharge knockoff. As soon as the temps get warmer I'm going to brew up another tea.

Just been giving the girls water. Temps will be good tomorrow into Monday, so going to brew up a compost tea. Just going to be worm castings with some bat guano and molasses, just like the previous brew but with better brewing temps. #1 bud structure is round and #2 is more cone shaped. #3 is some where in between. The clones that have been rooted are growing extremely slow. There are other genetics that rooted like normal and growing quicker in the same environment *Update: Today on 4/13 I decided to top dress each plant, because #3 was looking real hungry and the other 2 were starting to yellow up a bit. Each plant got 4-5 tablespoons of Dr. Earth Flower Girl and 2-3 table spoons of 7-3-1 Down to Earth Bat Guano. I watered that in with some Mikrobs.

Going to water in some Microbs today. I don't think my compost teas have been as effective as they could be, each time I brewed the night time temps dropped lower than they were suppose to be. I'm going to wait for a night time low of at least 45 and try another brew. I top dressed last week, and plan to do 1 final dressing in 2-3 weeks. The humidity was higher than normal, when I opened the tent today, it was 60% rh and 72 f. *Update: Figured out the high humidity. I shut my fan off when I top dressed a few days ago and never turned it back on. Because of the canopy, my tent has multiple mini climates. Moisture is trapped on the floor and is usually 8-10% rh higher than the reading I get from the canopy.

Temps are too low to brew any teas, just going to water once or twice with microbs and dechlorinated tap water when need be. Maybe think about top dressing again next weekend.

The tent has been smelling tropical, almost like Hawaiian Punch. #1 and #3 both look like bigger yielders, and #3's bud structure has started to more closely match #1. Some of #3's buds also look a little like #2's, which aren't stacking as much. #1 , #2, and #3 each had a clone survive from the initial cuttings a couple months ago. They all had hormonal problems, throwing off varying amount of leaf petals. #1 and #3 are both about a foot tall now and look like they recovered or are close to from their issues. #2 was very stunted, when I planted it into soil, each root had formed a ball on the end. It's still only a couple inches tall in a sola cup. Not going to top dress yet, but do it somewhat spontaneously in the near future.

I top dressed yesterday with just Dr. Eart Flower Girl. I scratched in 8 tablespoons in the 10 gallons, and did 4 tablespoons in the 5 gallon. I watered that in with some Microbs. I think this will be the final top dressing. I think #2 is the closest to being done, but probably still has 3 or so weeks left. Going to have some overnight lows in the 50's f, on Thursday and Friday of this week, so definitely going to brew a tea. #1 and #3 are stickier and stinkier than #2, and they are the source of the Hawaiian Punch smell. It's going to be interesting to see if #3 in a 5 gallon yields more than #2 in a 10 gallon. If there is a keeper, it will be based off of the smoke and not physical or growing characteristics.

The girls had a compost tea yesterday. 2 cups of worm castings, 1 tablespoon kelp meal, 2 tablespoons 7-3-1 bat guano, and some unsulfured blackstrap molasses aerated for 48 hours in warm temps. The solids were just tossed into my soil bin that's cooking. They are definitely looking close to ready for harvest, maybe only a couple more weeks. I modified my cloning technique and had much better success taking clones from the clones, and had a few root in less than 2 weeks.

This is only #2. The other 2 haven't been chopped yet. It was chopped last Saturday, washed in warm water only, then hung for 6 days in humidity between 50 and 60% rh. I trimmed and jarred it last night. It's trimmed and dry weight is 4.5 ounces. I've been picking off buds since Wednesday and smoked it heavily yesterday and today. It's some get shit done weed. It's a soaring, mind numbing high. The mind numbing definitely helps with focus, I smoked it before pool league and I was locked in, despite entering the hall with some anxiety. The jar smells great and the smoke smells/tastes nice and what I would expect a weed called Sour Tangie to be like.
