Used cubes for germination. Added pure water, did not ph it. Left it standing. When they break soil i will keep them under the sun. Its 19 Celcius here, so will try to keep em under the sun whenever possible, then back to tents.
Had a little misfortune. Lost two seedlings: one to wind (took them outside to get some sun). Another one just fell over and wilted. Threw those two to the windgods.
FINALLY got my equipment, so i could put them in growcab and under proper light. In Andalucia we have a lot of sun, so i tend to keep the plants outside when the sun is bright and not too windy.
Transplanted them to air-pots (20L), mixed worm-casting in the soil and ph-d the water to 6.5 (rose to 6.6) and added some Root Juice (1 ml). Since the soil contains nutrients i did not add anything else. Ran out of soil one seedling is currently living in a "pyramid". Will add the missing soil layer later this week.
Just so happy to grow again 😇😍
A little messed up with the week system but this is my first grow diary here, so maybe you forgive me this time? :)
Anyway, about the grow: have been eyeing the turgor and how plants like it under the light and with these nutrients. Started a little low, plants looked a little pale and wilted. Occasional necrotic sports here and there. Added some Ca-Mg to correct and prevent. My water is pretty soft here, 0.3 EC from tap. Too soon to say, need to play a little more and collect more data.
Smell: the grow is starting to smell sweet, i wish women would smell like that :P
Lights: upped the percentage to 50-60% this week. Since there are two seedlings too, i will correct as seedlings require.
Hola!
This week has been a mess, been battling a little with watering. Have been watering all the strains the same and it has been a challenge. Upped feeding by 0,8 EC, totalling 1.1 EC.
Still figuring out the light spectre. Plants under LED look more tired than under natural light. Upped the light this week to 75%, since it seems the plants have rooted nicely.
A little chlorosis was shown on the first half of the week, but got it under control.
Just ordered another light and i think i will be moving them in 2.4m cab in a week or so, since most of plants have outgrown its air-pot perimeter. I dont want them to be cramped in a space.
a little note to myself: should have been a little more smarter and added some mycorhizzae/trichoderma to my soil. Owh well, will do better in April, when starting my next grow.
Started LST-ing this week, to open the plants up. They will reach their vertical potential under a net (SCROG), so will be trying to keep the canopy on the level.
Hola amigos!
This week was interesting. Plants grew like crazy, since i am running 4 strains at the same time, then it is starting to be a catchup game with feeding. I mean they really feed differently. A new light comes tomorrow, then i will separate the plants by size: 3 in one and 4 in another. Always bending (LST) to create more even canopy, when the vertical stretch slows down i will be adding nets and keeping the canpy on the level.
Wife told that plants can be smelled from the street, so this week added a carbon filter, running on 400m3/h regime. No more smell problem.
PS! already researching next genetics. Any recommendations?
👋
Plants have been growing like crazy. Have been trying to tame the height of some plants with some LST and HST, one bending went south, broke the main stem upper part. Owh well, solves the problem of height now :P
Been struggling with feeding, most receptive to my style seem to be Kix and Cinderalla Jack. Skywalker haze did not like me this run. Need to go over my notes when done and redo.
This week was a little remembering experience for me. I was struggling a little with the Skywalker Haze and i think i got in under control now. Messed up the feeding (new nutes, new lights - recipe for a disaster :P)
Anyway, i think i got it under control now. Skywalker Haze has been slowing in vertical growth. Seems the plants is preparing to bulking up. Kix, Euforia and Cinderella Jack still stretch ca 3 cm per day.
Hi all.
Had to endure a learning curve with the light. Kind of was able to bleach my plants, and here i was thinking i had nutrient deficiencies. Once again i am reminded that you dont know what you dont know. I moved the lights way higher and started playing with the dimmer, to be honest i cant really go over 75% without leaves starting to start to show signs of stress.
Miniflushed the pots this week. Gave em 12L ph-d water per pot. I think i went overboard with the feeling, thats why decided to do a miniflush. Plants are lighter now, but got the baseline going, so will keep the feeding on the lower side and see how the plants are doing. The most fussy strain for me is Skywalker Haze, i love the structure and rigidness of Cinderella Jack, Kix is a little smaller for my liking, but lets see how the bud develops.
All in all, plants are bulking nicely. Did a few mistakes with lights placement and misjudged some signs, but hey - better later than ever, huh?
