Day 1-4. Germinated with a glass of water to start until taproots were visible. Finished germination in paper towel and planted 3 out of 3 seeds. All have started the seedling stage. Keeping the temperature above 26 degrees and humidity between 50 to 65%. Light is 30" above the soil and at 50% intensity. Only watering with plain water whenever the soil is dry.
One week after planting the Auto Chem OG seeds. I may have been slightly overwatering the girls. I'm thinking the soil is holding more moisture than I expected due to being in 5gal pots. I'm going to water them only when its dry an inch deep and also give them less in volume from now on. Any info/insight on what else this could be is greatly appreciated. They also started to stretch so I lowered the light to 24". "Chem Tower" seems to be catching up to "Yellow Light" in growth but "Rabbit" is still out in front with the lead!
Two weeks after germination. Trying to get rid of a small fungas gnat infestation by drying the soil out completely between feedings and making apple cider vinegar traps. Also using ground cinnamon on top of the soil. Rabbit and Chem Tower both have been doing decent but Yellow Light is looking a little unhealthy. In hope she bounces back and gets better soon.
Day 22. I seem to be getting rid of the gnats. Both Rabbit and Chem Tower have shown their pistils. Yellow Light is still struggling to rejuvenate and looks like she has a deficiency. I haven't used any nutrients but I'm thinking of starting next week with micro doses in Rabbit and Chem Tower's feed.
Started to feed nutes this week. Gnats are now gone. Slowly increasing light intensity to 100% to get them ready for flower weeks. Lowering the humidity to between 40-50%. Have been giving about a litre of water every two days or whenever the pot is light and soil is dry. Adding 0.25ml of each nute (micro, grow, bloom) twice a week and plain water once to keep salt buildup down.
Day 36. Thinking about tossing yellow light. She's still having issues with growth and now showing some bleached spots. Used about 1ml of each nute for Rabbit and Chem Tower's most recent meal. Keeping RH of about 40%. Light intensity is now on 100% until harvest. Started removing lower fan leaves that were dying off to focus more energy on bud development.
Week 6. I pulled Yellow Light and noticed she had a very poor root system. It was a taproot down with very little offshoots, most likely caused by the way I was watering at first. The other two girls prayed for the first time this week following a plain water feed! Giving 1L every 2-3 days. Keeping the temps between 18-26° and RH of 35-50% until harvest. Few more weeks to go!
The girls are starting to smell good! Trichomes have started to form and the buds are looking tasty. They're getting bigger each day! I've been tucking fan leaves for the past couple weeks to give a bit more light to the lower growth and I quit feeding nutes this week. Almost there! Plain water every 2-3 days til I flush with Flawless Finish through the last week of flowering.
Only fed with plain water this week and increased volume to 1.5L each. The lower fan leaves are starting to yellow and the trichomes are clouding up. There's a few amber ones on the sugar leaves so I will be harvesting soon! Added a trellis to support the main colas if they grew too heavy. They're smelling and looking more delicious each day!
Day 62, harvest day. I will update after the drying and curing process. Wish I could've let them go a little longer but had to harvest slightly early. For my first attempt I'm happy with how the ladies turned out! Nice gassy smell, big sticky dense buds, great colours and 81g altogether wet trimmed. Lost one due to growers error but I've learnt a lot for next run. I will be growing one Auto Chem OG along side one Auto NL x BB from Oasis Genetics. Have a great day and happy toking! 🍃💨
