MH bulb blew early this week and had to substitute HPS for 2 days while new MH came in. Lost control of temps and it got really hot in the tent during this time. Ethel took some heat damage and slowed her growth. She has a lot of new growth and I think she's coming back around.
Getting bushier, but not growing as fast as I hoped. pH fluctuations are still persistent. Not sure if I should look at different pH balancers (currently using pool salts from Home Depot).
pH continues to be the biggest struggle. Maybe it's the cheap Home Depot pool salts? Filling the reservoir with 5.6 seems to consistently rise to ~6.1. I'll be purchasing GHE pH Up and Down before flipping the lights. I also probably leaned the clones over too much too early in their growth and thus the reason they're so short for 5 week's vegging. If these plants were standing up, they'd be a foot and half tall at least. They're drinking a ton of water! Flipping the lights next week.
Last week of veg, then flipping the light. I think they took longer to get to height because I laid them over too far. Lesson learned. Took a few clones off each plant. Photos are after clones were taken.
First week of flowering. Still using microflora instead of bloom until the reserve jug runs out. Second week of flowering will be florabloom from then on. pH seems more manageable, I think this is because of the 12/12 (cooling reservoir at night).
Second week of flowering. Lucy (front) is doing great, but Ethel seems to be yellowing and looking overwatered. I checked the air stone and am backing off on the foliar feeding just in case.
Three weeks into flowering. Ethel is coming back around. I think she was suffocating. I ensured the air stones were good during the last reservoir change. So many pre-flowers!
Lucy (front bigger plant) is starting to show calcium deficiency. pH has been around 5.9, so I raised it a bit for better calcium absorption. Also, I turned off the light for the pics this time.
I think I slowed the heat stress down from last week (hopefully completely). Upped the bloom this week as the deficiency signs seem to be creeping on still. Called the grower and he said to harvest at 55 - 57 days. That's 22 - 24 more days til harvest.
Yellowing leaves are still creeping. I don't know if it's a deficiency or pH. I added a little more bloom this week and made sure the pH was at 6.3. With two more weeks to go, I'm getting nervous.
