First week of flowering. Still using microflora instead of bloom until the reserve jug runs out. Second week of flowering will be florabloom from then on. pH seems more manageable, I think this is because of the 12/12 (cooling reservoir at night).
@Hahded,
Well honestly the plants look very healthy and it might not be a huge deal. If you were worried about it you could think about supplementing something with silica. I believe silica supplements increase resisitance to heat stress and lots of other stuff. They also strengthen the stems and stalks allowing more bud weight to pile on. I use Rhino Skin from AN and I love it. Good luck man. Home stretch now!
@Grimbol,thanks pal. I noticed the heat stress look and tried to readjust the fans. The lights are about 14" above (I'm out of head room too). I'll keep an eye on it, but don't know what else I can do. They stopped growing upwards, so hopefully it will be alright.
Hey man! It's me Gingerbeard from Reddit! Girls are looking great! Excellent work on the scrog. Pre flower is so exciting!
Also not sure your stance on lollipopping but you may want to remove the leaves and smaller flower sites below the net so you don't get popcorn buds down there. Also I don't think there is any set in stone rule but I try to do very little defoliation after the 4th week of flower so if you wanted to thin your canopy for airflow and light penetration now may be the time!
Good luck!
@Hahded,
Sounds good man! You grow how best works for you! That's what I love about this hobby. I've read that it's much better to be a little under max nutrients than to over fertilize them. Some people argue that once that stuff gets into the bud it doesn't come out. I would say good work man they look super healthy.
@Grimbol, thanks and I'm glad you're on the site. There seems to be a mature growing community here that I like. Thanks for the tips. This is my first grow and I was scared to exfoliate too much. To be honest, if I didn't take clones, I might not have even exfoliated as much as I did. I'm pretty sure I could have gone higher with the nutrients too. Next grow I'll be more brave. Also, I'm def done exfoliating for the rest of the grow. :)
@BigDaddyK, ha ha, ask away. :) I mix in 5 gal water jugs and just slide the lid over a bit to refill. I have the tent off the ground about 10" and use an auto-siphon when I change the reservoir. After flipping, I'll probably have to use one of the empty net pots.
Looking great dude. Really nice work. One thing to consider is that there is no actual hard science behind flushing your plants for longer than 2-3 days. One advantage is that it clears the root zone a bit but nothing is going to come OUT of the flowers. Once it is in there it is in there to stay. Smoothness of a bud is actually related to how well you do the drying and curing process.
Some people actual say that a flush is very harmful to your plants. It robs them of critical nutrients they need for flower development at the most critical time as most of the buds swelling happens in the last few weeks. I just did a 3 day flush in my hydro buckets and it is great.
Good luck man.
