Growing 2 auto blackberry kush, got all setup and watered the fabric pots with nutes, then planted seed in, that was on 18/6/18. Going leave light on 24hrs for 1st week. Day 1 will b the day the seeds pop up. 24/6/18 one must have popped up early last night the other one was later on today. So 24th is going be day1. I also reduced my nute strength because of some advice. Switched lights to 20/4 Gave #1 1/4 strength nute gave #2 full strength nute. happy so far #1 Looks lime green compared to #2. Also have worked out a feed schedule where I increase nute strength gradually. The logged dose of nute strength will b the final strength at the end of each week from now on.

Day 10 have slowly increased nute strength, and sorted out a schedule for feeds. So far healthiest and biggest plants I have had so early on. Might be because of the strain I used last time or that this is in coco or that I have gained more control on their environment. Day 13 decided to top #1 and will do something else with #2.

Looking good by day 16. Got a little nute burn on #1 So have lowered it's feed. Has responded well so far to the topping. #2 looks good also but am not topping this as I want to compare the 2 methods. DAY 20 still looking good #1 suffered slight nute burn which has been corrected. #2 Also looks good, had no problem with nute burn with this one. impressed so far with the genetics of this seed.

This week has flown by, installed a net in the tent to help manage these 2. Didn't take any pictures until the end of the week. I think I have overdone it a bit on the nutes looks like I have a bit of nute burn and nitrogen toxicity kicking in so flushed both plants today with 2L water each, will look at using half the dose or even less.

Yeah i been overdoing it on the nutes, got quite a few leaves with nute burn, have removed them leaves and adjusted nute strength. The flush at the end of last week did them a world of good. Overall I am impressed with the seeds and this coco with clay pebbles. I water just over 2L every couple of days and then leave it till it feels dryish. Will post a few more pics 2mo on day 35. Update on day 35 was securing branches and snaped a main cola on #1 have taped in back on and hope for best.

Been giving both plants 2L every 3 days and they seem to be doing fine, Plants are both looking good, I really can't tell which 1 will yield the most, the topped 1 has 4 even looking buds and small buds, the Lst plant has a half decent looking main bud and smaller buds. Think I have a good balance on the nutes. so long as the buds don't shoot up in the next couple of weeks I should b fine, only got 6 inch of height left b4 the light is at the top, need a taller tent, 1.3m height with cfl is probably just to small. Other then that I am really enjoying using this strain and I am finding it a lot easier to tell when the plant needs water compared to using soil, coco is the way forward for me.

Day 56. buds have been fattening up a bit this week and pistals are starting to turn, Not really had to water them this week, both plants took a 1L feed and that's it. Starting to think the Lst plant #2 will have a bigger yield then #1 Topped one.. Growing in coco is a dream, it's really easy to tell when the plants are thirsty.

Day 61 removed the red cfl and replaced it with a mars hydro 300w LED. Day 63 everything been going fine really, both plants like a good 2L feed then left alone for a good 5 days. Temps have been fine but humidity been a bit higher then I had wanted, have been removing the odd fan leaf here and there during the week. #1 is going to finish 1st think that is due to being topped, #2 is a good 5 days behind in development. Edging my bets #2 yields the most. From today I think its time to start the flush instead of feed.

Gave plants a 2L feed at start of this week on last weeks dose. Then have started flushing and defoliation mid week. The buds are looking good but not quite ready, don't get me wrong I could harvest today which would be bang on 10 week but I think they can go a bit further. so plan is continue flush until harvest time. guessing maybe a oz dried from the pair.

Day 75 I ended up harvesting #1. It had pretty much run it's course and had been flushed for 12 days, the wet weight was 72 gram (had been removing leaves b4 harvest), after 2 days of drying I have removed the main stems and am finishing off the dry with just small buds, weight as off today is about 17g of just buds. All pictures are from day 77. I decided to leave #2 as it has always seemed a bit behind the other, probably because #1 Was topped and #2 has only had Lst. I will carry on with flushing #2 until I think it's ready, I also think #2 may weigh more then #1. Will update when it's finished.

Will update final dry weight. 1st grow in coco, found it real easy compared to soil. Once the plants where established I watered each one with a nutrient feed of 2L solution every 3 to 4 days, I had to give it a big flush early on because I was getting nute burn. The strain was easy to grow, and def going do again, I do feel both plants suffered from only having 125w Cfl on them , trying to get decent light on both plants wasn't easy. The topped plant was harvested on day 75 and yielded 72g of wet Inc stems. The 2nd plant Lst was harvested on day 79 and yielded 84g wet Inc stems. Looking like 12g dry plant 1 and 16g dry plant 2. (pure guess work on the weight at the moment). Final dry weight #1 12g and #2 14g. Happy with yield considering heat wave these went through

Thanks for the advice, i have never grown in coco b4 and was told to use the a and b from the start. As u have grown this b4 i will bow down to your superior knowledge and just give it root booster and calmag for the next 20 days, i have plain watered it a bit this morning to dilute the nutes that are already in. cheers for the advice, much appreciated.

If someone is seeing this today i recomend watering coco AT LEAST once a day with nutrients EVERY WATERING. I particular water 2 times a day with NUTES ALWAYS. I water with ADN sensi coco at 0.4-0.8 E.C during first 14 days going up slowly as plant mature. Coco when watered unregularly and not oftern tends to acumulate salt from the nutrient mix at the bottom where the roots are. Causing high levels of E.C where at its roots, wich can cause the roots not to absorve all nutrients properly. The symntomns are the same as a nute burn, if someone has this problem, try to water(WITH NUTRIENTS and e.c in the apropriate range for stage fo growth) your coco 2x a day with 30% run off for a few days to wash the salt in the bottom and then keep feeding everyday until about 10-20% runoff. For more info on coco, where i took all this and where i learned how to use coco, seach cocoforcannabis. Thanks for reading until here. Have a good one!

@HereForTheTrip, yeah I'll read that article and treat it more like hydro then soil.

@hashy, Good luck next run! Just keep in mind coco is best when treated like hydro.

@HereForTheTrip, Going be running coco again in a few weeks once my dwc has finished. I'll have a read up from that site. 1st coco I did I got major salt build up. Managed to get on top of it with other grows but if that site has some good info I'll give it a read.👍

Why are u giving nutes already🤔🤔Blackberry is very prone to problems first all u need is a root booster and cal-mag for the first 15 20 days its your grow u feel me ive ran it 3 times going on 4 right now less is best with this strain its a top notch smoke u will love it if u over due it on the nutes u will not have a big yield she is picky picky and does not like stress at all i would wait till the 4th node to top her then tie her down and very lite defol good luck with her👍👍🍻🍻

How is your feeding schedule? Im growing in coco too and still learning
Hashy
Hashycommented5 years ago
@Chilipadi, on this diary it was way to strong and I got nute lockout and all manner of problems. Start off with no nutes while u germinate, then introduce nutes about 1/4 strength recomended doses and slowly bring up the strength over a good few weeks. Good look with your grow.

Hey man the grow is looking good, happy that you got the nute issue under control 👌🏻 Hopefully your all set for a easy grow from now onwards and a good harvest fingers crossed! 🏻 It’s my first grow and I am also using coco, lots of things to learn haha luckily coco is really generous in terms of overwatering, it is harder to do than using traditional soil, keep up the good work!

Hey dude I'm on week 9 your plants looking good! It's a fun easy strain to grow
Hashy
Hashycommented6 years ago
Today is week 11 for me, I chopped the topped plant a few days ago, but other plant is still going. To b fair this strain has been real easy to grow, not had any problems that weren't caused by myself.
the end.
