I personally top when there’s about 5 nodes.. I’ll leave 3-4 nodes and let those grow out long enough shoots/branches to be able to tie them down (LST).. then top again and throw in flower.. But I’d let them at least get a little bigger before topping. Usually whenever I top at this early stage they take a while to recover.. which isn’t a huge deal if they’re photoperiod.

Hi, I ran into this prob too. It's just the pheno brother, luck of the draw, if you look at my CBD HYDRO she hasn't changed same since week 5 and zkittles only started exploding around the same time. And if you look at my CBD organic she's growing wild too and was topped on the 6th node, and the CBD hydro was done on the 5th but looks as though she wasn't done at all. Just the plants genes nothing u did bro. Happy growing.

Not septoria but burning from severe nitrogen toxicity would be my diagnosis. Feeding too much or too often (or both). Not watering to run off each time can accelerate the problem.
