Day 1: Grow cubes soaked 15 minutes and rinsed, per Grodan instructions. Cubes then flushed with filtered and Ph balanced water. Seeds dropped in holes, covered, and placed in humidity dome in tent. Two extra cubes and moist paper towels also placed in dome to help boost humidity.
Day 2: High humidity in dome. Dome vents opened 1/4 way.
Day 3: Cubes monitored for moisture and watered as required.
Day 4: One Jack sprouted.
Day 5: Both Pineapples sprouted. Moisture added to cubes. Dome vents opened 1/2 way. Additional humidifier added to tent.
Day 6: Sprouted plants show healthy growth. Moisture added to cubes. Dome vents open 1/2 way, and entire dome lifted to vent at corners. Light strength increased from 40% to 60%. Exhaust fan speed increased to compensate for increased heat generated by light.
Day 7: Dome removed. Fed first light nutrient solution (0.8 EC) in morning and again in evening, both times to over-saturation. Roots visible at bottom of grow cubes by end of day.
Day 8: 4" cubes soaked, then flushed with Ph balanced water. Seedlings transplanted to 4" cubes and fed with Jack's 15-6-17 (EC 1.0/Ph 5.8/62F) Excessive watering to flush and saturate cubes. Runoff removed promptly. Light power level increased to 80% during last 4 hours of light and going forward.
Day 9: Fed Jack's 15-6-17 (EC 1.0/Ph 5.5/67F). Plants all looking healthy. Between 1 and 1.5 inches in height.
Day 10: No feeding. Pineapple 1 showing signs of over watering potentially, and blocks felt saturated even after the full day of light. After being removed from the tent for two days, Jack 2 has sprouted! I watered the cube with Ph 5.5 water and put him back in the tent.
Day 11: No feeding. Plants responding to drier conditions in the grow block. Also change the direction of the humidifier and one fan to blow away from the two pineapples, and balanced the Ph in the humidifier water.
Day 12: Plants all looking healthy and seem to have responded to better root oxygenation by the break in watering. We also added Floracaps for better dispersion over the entire surface of the grow blocks during watering. Plants fed mid day Jack's 15-6-17 (EC 1.0/Ph 5.6/65F)
Day 13: Transplanted to large grow bocks. Fed Jack's 15-12-26 Part A and 15-0-0 Part B (EC 2.4/Ph 5.5/ 65F). Not full volume for feeding as big blocks were saturated with Ph balanced water from soaking and rinse. This will also impact the run-off levels. Distance from light reduced to 24 inches.
Day 14: Plants really perked up. Perhaps we were a couple days late on dropping humidity levels, decreasing light distance, or moving to veg. nutrient schedule. We also made the mistake of using untreated tap water in the humidifiers for the first week and a half or so. Had to do a pretty good white dust clean up yesterday on the clip fans and some equipment in the tent.
Day 15: Plants are starting to smell. Climate conditions are finally ideal. Running the light at full strength generated a bit too much heat for our exhaust fan to handle. We will run it at 80% power until we get another fan to increase airflow.
Day 16: Fed Jack's 15-12-26 Part A and 15-0-0 Part B (EC 2.4/Ph 5.5/ 65F)
Day 17: Fed Jack's 15-12-26 Part A and 15-0-0 Part B (EC 2.4/Ph 5.5/ 65F)
Day 18: Fed Jack's 15-12-26 Part A and 15-0-0 Part B (EC 2.4/Ph 5.5/ 65F) Light defoliation of damaged leaves on Pineapple 1
Day 19: Fed Jack's 15-12-26 Part A and 15-0-0 Part B (EC 2.4/Ph 5.5/ 65F) Light defoliation of damaged leaves on Pineapple 2
Day 20: Fed Jack's 15-12-26 Part A and 15-0-0 Part B (EC 2.4/Ph 5.5/ 65F) Thinking about topping tomorrow…
Day 21: Topped Jack 1 and both Pineapples.
Day 22: Defoliation on Jack 1 and both Pineapples to expose future bud sites. No feeding.
Day 23: Fed Jack's 15-12-26 Part A and 15-0-0 Part B (EC 2.4/Ph 5.5/ 65F)
Day 24: Fed Jack's 15-12-26 Part A and 15-0-0 Part B (EC 2.4/Ph 5.5/ 65F)
good luck u dont really need 680watt for such small plants in veg 150watt is enought for 2x2 veg in flower u can go higher with this much watt u can easy flower a space about 1,2m x 1,2m
I hope for happy healthy and strong looking plants. Keep up the amazing progress. If you get a moment please leave a vote under my YOU DECIDE diary. Good luck stay safe happy growing cheers!!!!
