Just after topping them at the 3rd node (after it has grown out 6 nodes or more). Form the base of the manifold. Then, let them grow out again to 6th node, top down to 3rd node and strip 2nd node only! I blew it here, I stripped nodes 1 & 2...so I will only get 4 colas per plant.
It is hard watching the ladies bent over like this but it IS for their own good, and mine!
This week they moved to the big cabinet with SF4000 and into 5 Gallon buckets. Further pruned and refined shape. Just one branch too aggressive. I cut 1st and 2nd nodes, instead of leaving the first and third nodes. Will not make same mistake again! This was following Nuggbucket Mainlining "manifold" Technique as demonstrated on YouTube. Should give you 8 Main Colas per plant! Some say it improves the quality too. Is it a myth? Stick around.
Getting a little stronger each day. Feel real bad about butchering them up. Hopefully it will be for the best.
Have another "split" grow. That's what I call it. Going out skiing in a few weeks. Have to make some changes to the garden for it to survive a week alone. I bought these 6.5 gallon low plastic bowls. Planning on filling them up with nutes before I depart. Hoping it will make it.
Has anyone done something like this? If you had hydro, that would be easier as you already have the reservoir. Open to any other suggestions from the collective here.
