Day 7 since germination. Have had good, tangerine skunk success with these before. New germination/veg setup working well. Heat mat, dome, little 5 for sprouts and clones. Big humidifier for veg tent room. Fancy air-pots.
Switching to hydro instead of buying more coir and perlite, dont know if i have enough to fill the 5 gallons they need. Will go in 3 gallons more likely. Going to use my 10L of canna coco in hydro lol.
They'll have some time, so I might scrape something together. Lithium doesnt finish for 8-10 more weeks, so I plan on manifolding these before they go to the flower tent.
Ready for transplant, had some delays. Don't really have enough coir... instead of buying more coir and perlite, i got stuff to start to go hydro. Will see how much coir I can get together. Will save a mother in a 3 gallon and then see what's left.
Day 20. They loved the transplants and Mykos. Moved up on feed since the last update. May be in 5 gallons and/or recovering from being topped (probably just one or the other) by next week. Gonna scrog em from a manifold, they have a long time to veg into 5 gals.
Transplanted to 5 gallons, used Mykos, then let the bags dry out more than usual for rooting. Let the plants recover a week, then chopped to third node, removing the first node entirely for a four-way. Kept the best one for a mother, due to the mutant I don't get to cull the weak one. Should be fine.
Lots of foliar. Have been much drier in the veg room due to heat wave and A/C. Not running humidifier all the time. 50-60%. Today I switched to 16hours light for heat reasons, hopefully will remember to update next week since it's not applicable to this entry.
Have applied LST tiedowns to flatten canopy -- applied HST to each cola at that time.
Once that recovers, I will make the second chop to each cola (keeping only the third node pair). This should give me a full on manifold, though not the kind you put outside to go straight up -- the kind you keep flat to SCROG instead.
The one plant has an asymmetrical node that is quite inopportune, but hopefully it will get some growth eventually. No plants to replace it, the m other would have to be transplanted to a 5 gallon... and isn't as healthy for whatever reason. I think it will be fine as a mother -- frankly, I hope to replace all my 1:1 mothers with 20%+ specific symptom strains, of either CBD or THC. High yielders, but low potency total; the 1:1 I have are all 10-16%, 18% at the outside total.
Decided not to top further, going to 4 way (3 way?) to cover more area hopefully. the long veg period ahead should allow me to fill a scrog and start going vertical. Won't have room for many clones in jars soon. Will install SCROG early in veg to maintain and train flatness.
Have reduced to 16 hours for heat, window unit is trying to croak. Not able to run humidifier, just makes it struggle worse. Should be fine.
@Horantu, due to my setup i dont really switch so much as move plants, so i need to wait for room. the lithium og kush are like 4 weeks out? 5? from harvest, at which point these plants will move to the flower room.
If I flipped them where they're at, I don't know if I could provide the heat control, or to a lesser extent the circulation and low humidity I'd need. And I wouldn't have a veg tent for the next batch.
@Beans, yeah it adds weeks onto a grow but I've probably got 5-6 weeks or so more with nowhere to put them
should make it easier to fill out a scrog evenly too, apart from the one that's only a three way
