For my first cross, I have no complaints.
Everything went fine although I wish I would have had her in a larger pot.
That being said she was very tall and would have benefited from topping and training.
I am not going to post wet weight.
I believe that is pointless, when you read enough you see that most loose on average 66% by weight.
She was bony like her mama.
But remember back to the beginning and she was the one I did not want, but was the only female.
All in all she was a good girl and was 105 days to harvest from the time the seed cracked.
63 days of flower puts her squarely into the Indica time frame if I am not mistaken.
Flower size was not very large including the main cola but seem to be fairly uniform.
All of the lower buds are very firm.
Considering how bony with very little foliage that would make sense.
Her smell is of Dark Chocolate and Dark Berries.
You can see she developed a lot of nice color and quiet a bit of purple emerged which mama did NOT have.
So that is interesting.
Now we wait.
I will update with dry weights and smoke report when it is ready.
Thanks to everyone that has commented and taken a look at this diary.
Happy growing all.
Not sure what to think, a lot of factors go into root growth including strain, pheno etc.
But I use it every time I plant or up pot and will continue to use it... lol.
I realy like these lights.
I plan to use them until they are no longer working lol.
Keep an eye on Amazon and you can get them under $60.
Great heat dissipation with a nice heat sink and the dimmers feel solid and work well.
I would suggest these to anyone on a budget for sure.
I will have updates in the future... you know a smoke report.
I need to mention that, at week 4 of flower I attempted to back cross again on a couple of branches.
However I am NOT sure whether or not the pollen was still viable. I will report on that as well.
@sdoyle, yeah the vigor is crazy.
Will be updating later tonight.
It gets me excited for my Zkittlez x Afghani cross that I made at the same time as the Gelato x Afghani.
Thanks for looking.
