Time for training my girl! I used FIM technique and defoliation of couple useless leaves. On the next day after training the plant it's looks like nothing bad happened :D
This week was a little nervous and full of preparation to flowering. As always I f*cked up and apply the FIM too late (have extra nodes). Anyway it's works well for me, plant must be dwarfy and has enough colas during flowering
First week of 12/12 schedule and starting of flowering. I'm using some LST training and defoliation. Very satisfied about my widow-girl, because she feeling good all the way (actually I never used quality nutrients before lol).
Got some calcium troubles (I guess) but I fix it soon. My last experiences with autos make me losing my patience so fast with photoperiod strain like white widow. It would be a long ride :D
Like I said before a small problem with nutrients was solved and flowering continues. The stigmas quantity has increased and I finally saw a trichomes. I also apply some LST and defoliation for save my free space in grow tent
4 weeks of flowering has ended. The plant is still growing up but already slowing down and increases the stigmas/trichomes number. I hope the main cola will not approach the lamp :D
Increasing bud mass and trichomes. Added some flowering booster. I was awaited a strongly smelling plant but it's actually no smell at all (maybe covid done this to me lol?)
Another week, another report~ Dudes, this smell is breathtaking! Sticky and flavored buds kicks me into my childhood, when my mom washed my head with a baby shampoo called "quack-quack" or something. Unfortunately I'm not some kind of sommelier and I can't describe a bouquet, but I dare you, it's awesome! I also applied a "Simplex Power" stimulator with chitin and vitamins for better smelling
Another week is over, and my girl is getting closer to the harvest! She is looking well, and her buds are gone bigger day by day. In the next few weeks I'm going to apply flowering stimulator for the last time and look at the moment to the flushing
So what do we have now. It's 8 weeks or 56 days since switching the lighting mode to 12/12 (the Dutch Passion's White Widow photo/fem recommended flowering time).
Next week I stop adding fertilizer and prepare the plant for harvest. Visually, the buds have stopped growing, amber trichomes appear and transparent ones become cloudy.
Based on the experience of previous years, I can assume that under my lamp I will not get a larger or higher quality buds, which means it's time to finish my little girl :D
The last week of flowering. Cleaning up a coco and simulate autumn. I'm zeroed nutrients and feed a plant with a "Simplex Taste" to clean leaves. Next step is a harvest
I presume that the White Widow represents the most authentic classic cannabis strain. Golden mean. This is a good strain to smoke after a light dinner. You will not to get paranoid or uncontrollable hunger. A few negative sensations are dry mouth and dry eyes, it's classic too. There is a very interesting effect that occurs with a hearing, music becomes more detailed, the ears are more sensitive. After smoking, you don't feel stupid, but more focused and patient. The first hour you feel high, but then you got a few hours of relaxation.
It was a long and smooth road to the harvest. In the beginning I was a little happy to see a strong root on germination stage. Widow learned me to be patient and do not harm by overdosing plant. She really likes a trainings, FIM cant stressed her, defoliation make she stronger and short dropping the temperature cant harm she. I would like to mention separately a smell, most part of the time she doesn't smell anything, absolutely nothing. But in the end, then buds are formed and starts growing, she make the sweet and pepper smelling. I'm really appreciating for a long brand history and precious genetics of Dutch Passion that makes me a part of giant worldwide community of growers. ❤️
Looking great! Hope you post some more pictures soon..
i have smoked a lot of White Widow in my Life but i have never grew any.. Is Dutch Passion's Genetik better than the original (Greenhouse Seeds)?
Good luck man! 🍀
@Fayah_Burn, I can't say anything about genetic but I trust the brand and I chose it for a long history and growers respect. My primary intent for this choice was to get a high quality product and positive experience. Cheers bro!
