I put the seed in paper towel to germinate it and it popped in the normal time as you would have expected it to, however I noticed that the taproot was almost like stuck inside the seed instead of pushing the shell away it was growing in a curve inside the seed, and it hadn't popped out, by this point I can see a little sprout starting to push out from the seed. I removed the shell entirely and separated the taproot from a layer of film INSIDE the seed and popped it in the soil.. took 2 days to pop but seems to grow exactly as the other BB in other pot terminated with no issues.
After 4 days of growth all is well, don't let anyone tell you you can't plant a weed seed embryo after manually removing the shell..
Less steady growth than other Bruce banner., looks like it will be a smaller plant than bb1 too. Think it needs more nitrogen. Seeing the same papery feeling leaf as on other one. Genetics? Hmm. Maybe it's just the light....
this diary is a week ahead. will get in back in line soon. day 0-7 to be as week 1 not including the germ week.
This banner kept much shorter than its brother. its also in a slightly shallower tub of soil so this one is flowering a bit quicker than its counterpart too. to keep it at the same height as all my others ive raised it from the floor slightly and then put the screen over top to bend the top cola. buds forming nicely now. i said fuck it. full organic feed for you.! nutes then fresh water twice then nutes again. deinking now a litre every 3 days. hardy plant but a couple white spots on the leaves... slight calmag to give prob.. end of week 5 flowering up to day 35. week 6 as of 36-->
ps if anyone has a spare grow tent that they could donate me that would help a brother out ;)
day 40. adjusted to normal schedule
minor N loss. buds becoming dense, drinking less. slight nute burn i think so feeding less. main buds surrounding leaves pointing up to the light like its quite happy. crystals forming now. defoliated 4-5 shitty leaves.
the back leaves continue to look like they have a mag problem i think. no doubt either me overfeeding it or simply shitty soil ph.... buds seem to have slowed a bit as a test i will be giving this just boost from now being day 61 only.. i heard most autos dont go past 85 and i could do with sorting out the nute burn... pisstake given the fatty bud still nice and green though so no nitrogen issues. *shrug* i have no idea what im doing really...
just watering. and keeping on keeping on.
*update. they need to come down. will chop day 68 no plant sitters available:(
final pics before trim and chop posted
picked a little early. gives me mad paranoia with too much.. crazy strong stuff. makes me unable to concentrate as the brain pings off lol. a+ good times. 21+
no doubt i overdid it with too much veg nutes too late and let it dry out.. back right corner of tent is a pain in the ass..
it didnt fade like the other bb and had the start of thrips munching away. if anything prob not bruces full potential... oh and given i deshelled it, it seems to have had an effect, took long to come out, wasnt so vigorous, wanted to flower real quick.. i didnt use as much soil in this pot it seems. owing to it being short i had to keep raising the canopy height, then i stuck a screen on top. one central mass of buds looked like it had grown in the dark. definitely needs to be pruned properly to allow light everywhere if you wanna keep small.
Fun fact:
The pH of distilled water immediately after distillation is 7, but within hours after distillation, it has absorbed carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and become acidic with a pH of 5.8
You aren't doing too bad those are some pretty flowers!
@Sublyme_ness, gotta treat the grow area like a clean room. I even wash my hands before opening the tent. Regularly vacuum outside the grow area and definitely keep pets away. Keep us posted especially if you get a live Thrip bug pic! :)
@@David369, it gets dry in that one corner and its hard to get back there and do anything because its so tight and under the net.... i will try to get a pic, but i brushed on neem oil with a paintbrush as best i could and cut off the worst ones. as for cause, its dry and warm and i should hsve misted the leaves with neem more regularly, i cant clean properly in the corners, and theres probably spaces behind my mirror and under the pot itself bugs can breed.
@Fast_Buds, much appreciated guys... your plants are really abundant and similar to how shown and sold.. cant wait to get some of the freebies from the photo contest in soon. the swag was on point and still much appreciated. hopefully i have done your genetics proud!
